When I asked the woman at the counter where to find the coffee, instead of offering assistance, she immediately told me to "zip up my purse." There's a sign on the door about backpacks, but this was my personal purse--not a backpack--and I was standing at the counter asking for help, not loitering or acting suspicious. I'm a well-presented, educated woman with a decent job, and it was both insulting and condescending to be spoken to in that way. The assumption made about me was completely out of line, and her dismissive attitude when I was simply seeking help was unacceptable. When I finally found the coffee with help from another employee, the same woman started questioning my teenager about if the coffee was for her and what she needed it for. The coffee was for a road trip the next morning--not that it was any of her business. I expect better from a business I've supported for years. I won't be returning, and I hope management takes action to ensure customers are treated with the respect they deserve, without judgment or assumptions.

Kingman is a stopping point for us. One last stop before Vegas, or conversely, the first stop after LEAVING Las Vegas. Clean, quick in and out... Perfect! Open 24 hours (of course), the staff always seems friendly, prices are competitive to other convenience stores, and the drink selection... Wow! Fountain drinks I've never heard of, including the exclusive Mountain Dew Goji Berry flavor! Heck, they even have Pepsi Zero Sugar (formerly Pepsi Max) in the fountain! All with giant 52 ounce cups with big, fat red straws. Everyone will love the clean, roomy restrooms. I sometimes wonder if Maverik has someone hiding in the corner to clean after each person leaves. It's ALWAYS sparkling clean! Every time we pass through Kingman, especially heading back to Vegas, we make it a point of stopping here, and will continue to do so.

We met up half way between the pumps and the front door. The woman was very rude and asked me if I were going to buy gas or oil? Or if I were just getting food and drinks and if it were the latter, I'd have to move my car to the parking spots that were in the 108 degree heat of the Arizona Sun that day. I didnt like her rude tone and inhumane attack on us. We were the only vehicle there and there were 3 other open pumps that were also in the shade. I told her I was just gonna buy so.e drinks and leave, not feeling the need to file up there anymore. She grabbed my arm and pushed me away y from the door and said, "no you arent, not until you move your car to the parking spots!" And she pointed to the empty parking spots baking in the midday sun. I said we weren't in anyone's way, just let me buy a few drinks and I'd be leaving. She wouldnt have it and told me she was going to call the cops. And she did. I have never heard of such a rude business employee turning away a customer that was only trying to cool down and be a patron to their busness. I dont have air conditioning in my vehicle which really makes it uncomfortable in the car too long.
