You have to love a place that has 8 different kinds of egg benny. You know a place is good, when you can't make up your mind of what to actual eat. Further, to make this place place even better all the workers here are really nice! Service is a bit slow, but that is only because it is extremely busy. I washed all of this down with a hefeweisen beer from Hope brewery that are based in the hunter valley. We sat out on the deck in the warm winter sun overlooking the harbour while sipping, dipping, devouring and relishing the goods in front of us. The country club is part of the Shoal Bay Resort and although its nothing great to look at from the outside, walk through those wrought iron gates and your mind will soon change.. Its all about the beer garden and the upstairs function area (I think it's a function area - there was a wedding at the time so we weren't able to check it out). I'd imagine the view up there would be magic !! A visit to Shoal Bay wouldn't be complete without at least one drink in this beer garden. I only wish this place was a little more "open" to the ocean but despite feeling the need to protect its customers from the breeze and the sand, it's a great spot to sit back, talk about owning a place like this along some part of the NSW coast (as you do) and enjoy a few with your besties.
