The railings look elegant and from speaking to the owner I gathered there was a different plan initially which wasn't able to be done due to structural reasons. It's all a work in progress but for now, he's got himself a beautiful looking cafe. The curved padded booths were out choice of seating although there's outside too. Comfortable and relaxing with plenty of space to spread out your food. I had Eggs Benedict with my usual extras, a single pancake and a milkshake....and a coffee (I'm pregnant), and my brother had a milkshake and B+E roll. All was delicious. I washed all of this down with a hefeweisen beer from Hope brewery that are based in the hunter valley. We sat out on the deck in the warm winter sun overlooking the harbour while sipping, dipping, devouring and relishing the goods in front of us. Just doesn't seem like a big deal ‍ We ended up with four eggs all poached pretty differently, but all fresh - so - not too bad. The bacon wasn't crispy at all, just a bit sad on my plate. There aren't a heap of options for really great coffee and breakfast in port Stephens, and this wasn't too bad, but I probably won't be back.
