Mav Lash harasses you while you are getting your lashes done. My review is the complete and accurate truth. The owners kept asking for me to post a review. Over and over and over again. I couldn't post a review that was positive because the way my eyes burned each time I left - after the second time of being told it couldn't be their products - I realized my eyes were more important than the lashes I was seeking and stopped going. The owners discuss their son during your visit and speak about nonsensical things during your visit which takes away the work that they are trying to achieve. I grew tired of having to respond. Talking during the procedure is strictly forbidden and the inferior products I feared would lead to blindness. I stopped going and am positing this review to help others make an informed decision. There are tons of other places to go. Why would ANYONE GO TO A PLACE THAT HAD INFERIOR PRODUCTS RHAT CAUSE YOUR EYES TO BURN????? And then they pay people to post a positive review and harass you until you do - they don't actually give you money - they discount the service if you post a positive review. It's the same thing. They are dishonest and the stress and pain from my eyes caused by their inferior products was not worth even taking a chance to go there. They continue to make up lies to stop the truth from emerging and it's reprehensible how they think this is the way to operate a business. Shame on them!!!! I wonder if they are cheating the government and paying their fair share of taxes by accurately displaying the number of clients. Update: I've been to a lot of lash places when I'm unable to come in to see Geo at Mav Lashes but I always return due to the quality and the amazing lashes I get. The quality of the lashes and the glue is what keeps me coming back! I've experimented with different looks and different lengths and Geo is always honest with her recommendations and does a fabulous job. I always walk out of here feeling like a million dollars! The new location is really cute and hip. The vibe is inviting to relax and it's easy to take a nap during your beauty enhancement. Is it true to become addicted? WOW! Was really scared to try eyelash extensions but did a lot of research beforehand for months and finally landed on this spot. Luna was my tech and honestly, she was wonderful. My only advice that I wish someone would've told me was to SHUT THE F UP!!! This definitely isn't like getting your nails done or waxing to where you can just chat the whole time and everything is fine. I didn't realize that when you talk, your eyelids flutter!!! I'm extremely animated so I know mine definitely do a lot, so the fumes went straight in. It made the process take a lot longer than expected because after that my right eye kept tearing up every 10 seconds and it was just a nightmare. The results came out great, but then the next day my eyes at the bottom were bloodshot red and semi puss-y as well, and the stuff coming out was whitish yellow. After sending photos of my eye to my doctor and also 3 of my friends who also do lash extensions (just in other states) they told me I didn't look like I was having an allergic reaction, they all said my eyeball got bruised. It's been 3 days since I got them done and it's almost fully healed. I took a Benadryl last night and they seem to be healing themselves but the right eye is still more sore and tender than the left. So again, DO NOT TALK OR TRY TO CHAT. Get that out of the way in the beginning!!! I think all my chatting slowed her down a bit too, and that mixed with the fumes getting in my eye from talking too much and then having to aggressively tape it down, this was definitely a learning experience. UPDATE: after being upset for half the day I called to speak to the manager (who happens to be the same receptionist that was working last night) and they are taking me in today to "see if they can get them closer to what I wanted". I'll update more after I go in - but I'll be honest, part of me just wants them taken off and a refund at this point. Update to the update: Ok, so shortly after I posted the update the owner called me. He was very nice and apologetic, so I headed to the salon. When I arrived it was a much different story than the previous day. Everyone was kind and attentive. It was greatly appreciated although it shouldn't take a bad review in order to receive this type of service. My new tech, Marisol, was also completely different than my original experience. She spent a good amount of time looking at photos and talking to me about what I wanted. This is exactly the type of consultation that should happen before an appointment, especially for a first timer. She was patient and really took the time to make sure I was comfortable before starting. The "fixing" process took another 2 hours as she basically had to undo everything and then redo them. She was much more personable, she talked me through everything and ensured my comfort. Once she handed me the mirror I could have cried tear of joy - but since she gave me proper instructions, I now knew that tears are bad for lashes. ;) I also found out that mascara is bad/unnecessary and oil based washes and lotions also - all things I didn't get for care instructions the first time. I'm definitely much happier with my lashes, I appreciate the new tech and behavior of everyone on my second visit. My only reason for keeping my review low stars is that it shouldn't take a bad review to receive this type of service. This should be the standard. ----- I've been debating writing this for hours but every time I walk by the mirror I'm almost in tears. I wanted to be kind but I'm really disappointed in my entire experience. I did a lot of searching for what I wanted and who I should go to before booking my appt but I have to admit how wrong I was. My appt was for a mixed set. I picked this because I have naturally decent length lashes but wanted them to be a little fuller but still more natural. A set I can roll out without needing to wear mascara and liner makeup everyday. When I arrived the tech called my name but didn't introduce herself or anything. I told the receptionist and her that I've never had lashes before and she asked to see some photos of what I wanted. The pics we looked at were from the Mav Lash Instagram, I pointed out what I liked and she said, "so more natural" to which I agreed and also pointed out a few that she said were "cateye" angled. I told her I didn't want anything dolleyed or too lush. I thought we were on the same page and I payed down and she began. After about 2 hours she finished and I asked to use the restroom before checking out. Once in the bathroom I took one glance in the mirror and was shocked. They were so long and look like one of those dolls that eyes close when you lay it down and open when it's upright. NOT AT ALL the "more natural but fuller" look we chatted about or the photos we looked at. When I came out, I immediately told her. Her response was that she couldn't do anything about the length unless she took them off completely and put a new set on. I was devastated as I tried to ask what we could do. She offered to take some of the fullness out of one that was heavier then the other. I agreed to that but honestly didn't see much of a difference. At that point I just wanted to leave. I was hungry and really upset but trying to still be nice. I was hoping once I put on mascara on my lower lashes that it would offset everything. Now that I'm home, the mascara did not help at all, so I washed my face and literally 1/4 of them fell right out. I dunno if it's my face wash or what since I was given no care instructions verbally or anything. I am getting really irritated that I paid close to $200 for this. They look awful and I'm at the point of just pulling them all off myself in the morning. Big disappointment. Waste of my money and very unhappy with how the tech handled it all. I first got my eyelashes done April 23rd, and I loved the results. Lash tech asked me what I wanted and told me what she was going to be using in order to get the results. I loved how informed I was and how I had a say about what I wanted. Wish I could this place 5 stars but what made me give it 1 star is because of my experience a month later. I came again May 24th for a fill, not being able to book with the first person but I needed to get my eyelashes done for a bachelorette that weekend. Let me just say that the experience was the complete opposite. First red flag, she didn't ask me what I wanted she just asked me if it was a fill and I said yes. She had me sit down and I was wondering if she was going to ask me what I wanted since a fill can be anything. When I asked if I could show her what I had in mind she seemed bothered and caught off guard. Which, I was caught of guard with her reaction because they are at the end of the day my eyelashes. The picture I showed her was a set she had done before. She didn't even say that she was going to try to do... she didn't ask me how curly I wanted them. No feedback. She just said it was a classic set. She finished my fill in exactly one hour. I thought that was really fast and when I saw the results they weren't exactly as how I pictured it and no were near the set I had shown her. They looked decent when she showed me in the mirror. Once I got home and up to this day I can see there are gaps between my eyelashes and my eyelashes have been falling down at a faster rate than the first time I got them done. They are also not in a consistent direction. When I look down they look scattered and not at the same curl as I had them from the last set. The appointment felt rushed as if she just wanted to get it over with. I am really upset with my set and with the experience I left with that day. It made me feel like I wasn't cared about and not important enough since this eyelash extension place caters to Instagram influencers. I am definitely not going to schedule an appointment with this lash tech again. read more

Came in today for a full set classic/volume mixed set, I got there a bit late because I couldn't find the location I'm not from the area so it took a while. I did let them know in advance. Once I arrived I greeted myself and lash techs were not welcoming. From the start. The girl that was assigned to do my lashes her name was Kai or Kay not sure how to spell it but she was VERY RUDE from the beginning she asked what style I wanted and I tried to explain but she honestly made me feel very uncomfortable to the point where I just wanted her to get it over with. I was hoping she would be able to tell me what kind of style what suited for my eyes. Since I am paying a lot of money. I've been to three other places and never have I ever received that treatment. As she was doing my lashes I did not appreciate how she would turn my face. It felt as if she was rushing herself. Honestly really need to work on costumer service. I am very disappointed. On the other hand my mother in laws lashes were very pretty, shoutout to Justine. She really liked them. My lashes were okay. They do not look like a mixed set. To me looks more like a classic.
