I was referred to him by a miserly person who never says anything good about anyone, and after he worked on my place, I referred family and friends to him at every turn. I still would. It's neat to see how he has had to grow his business to meet the needs of his increasing clientele, but at the same time he is pretty good about making time for that one more call so you don't have to wait so long to get your household back in order. I have never had a problem with his service. I always find myself wishing him well because I like old-school businessmen who give it their best and look after the customer instead of upselling and sneaking in extra charges. I also understand from others that he stands behind his work, so if he ever does make a mistake, don't worry because he's a man of integrity. Keep him at the front of your roll-a-dex for when something needs fixing.

He determined that he "thought" the pressure tank was bad and needed to be replaced. He called the shop and asked it they had one (he was reasonable sure they did), but whoever he talked to said no. So the guy jumped into his truck and headed back to the shop. Mind you that I as PAYING for his trip here from the shop, back to the shop, back here, and back to the shop again. The fellow who was here was VERY meticulous and worked painfully show. I guess you can't expect speed?! So, he had it working (at least then, more on that later), and left. A month or so later I got the bill. Oh my God!! Just shy of $500 for 1.5 hrs of travel time, labor and for the new tank. The tank itself was $189. But an internet search said I could buy the EXACT SAME TANK ON Amazon for less than half of that. So, I protested to AM plumbing. I stopped by the office and talked to a lady as well as left with her information about my internet search for the tank and protested that their 'price' was far higher than even retail. She said she would talk to 'Adam'. A few months later, I called again. The same lady said she would talk to Adam again, and in about a week I got an adjusted bill. The adjustment saved me over $80. While still a lot of money, I felt vindicated!, and paid the bill. During winter we had another problem with the well (see write-up for MAUSTON plumbing). My advice, shop around and chose wisely. Read reviews and ask everyone you can think of before hiring a plumber. These folks know that they have little or no competition and conduct business that way.

I called to request it be fixed and was told that my bill was way overdue, even though it hadn't been passed the 'due in 30 days' since I got it at this point. They refused to come back and fix the leak properly until they got their money first. And they refused to discuss the issue about being work being done that I hadn't asked for. I didn't bother to tell him I wanted to install a tank less water system as well. Before doing that I need to know what is causing the water temp issue. I did call him back to say he should update his website to state only installed by their company woodburners are serviced and not waste everyone's time. I don't get where they won't service a system.
