Only then was I informed that I would need to reschedule my appointment because it was already 4:00 PM. I feel that my time was wasted, especially since I was there seeking treatment for dental pain. No one evaluated my condition, offered any assistance, or provided any recommendations to help manage my pain. I was simply sent home without receiving any care. I understand that offices have schedules to follow, but I believe there should have been better communication and consideration for a patient who was in pain and had already completed all the required paperwork. I am certain that you will not find a better dentists office to go to. Dr Thorfinnson is informative, he lets you know what your mouth needs and how he is going to do it. He is also extremely gentle, I have had a lot of work done here and haven't had one complaint. The few hygienist that have cleaned my teeth here have always been professional and have the same gentle calming attitude that the dentist has. I have not had an uncomfortable trip here yet. Most people wont say that they look forward going to the dentist and that is because they have not been here yet. Doc Thorfinnson and his team are the best I have been to.

His office has a nice waiting room with a good variety of reading material to choose from. His secretary is professional and courteous. I appreciate excellent phone skills because they are a hard thing to find these days. His office has a clean yet intimate feeling. I loved all the local art on the walls instead of the industrial art one usually finds in medical offices. It was nice to see beautiful images of Omaha depicted in his office and shows that he is a person who is proud of his city. Dr. Ellis took his time with me and was very gentle during the cleaning and exam. He took bite impressions and took his time which I appreciated; those can be very uncomfortable. He recommended making a night bite guard since I tend to grind my teeth at night and it has helped a lot since I started using it. His intake questionaire had a great question at the end: What is something you would change about your smile if you could? This is a great idea. It gets the conversation about your smile started in a non-threatening way. So many people feel afraid to visit the dentist, but his attitude is so kind and helpful. Dr. Ellis will not judge you or your teeth, he will do what he can to make your smile even more beautiful.
