I became pregnant half way through my Elite weight loss package and they refused to prorate or refund unused visits and treatments. From a consumers perspective, I paid for something and didn't get what I paid for. I understand the packages are discounted and the individual cost of the treatments are more - but I would never pay for the individual cost of the treatments in the first place. That's why I chose a package! It was disappointing after having had a pleasant first impression. I don't expect for many other clients to get pregnant during their program, so other experiences will be different I'm sure. From my end though, it was bad business and made me feel icky. I wish they had a way to meet me half way. As it stands, I will have to wait till after the baby is born and I'm done breastfeeding to finish out the remaining visits and treatments. So that will be an uncomfortable visit in about a year. For others looking to do a package, just don't get pregnant! Also, keep track of your treatments and visits and do your due diligence. Side note, I did lose 12 pounds and would probably have lost 25 if I didn't get pregnant (I suppose I'll be gaining that back now ). However, this grief was NOT worth 12 pounds...or even 25.

But really, why rob yourself of the full package they offer. Let me take you back to late February when I first met Dr. Katie. (I thank my friend Sharyn for her referral.) We go over the initial patient paperwork and the issues that I have. The initial purpose of the visit was due to the discomfort I had in my lower back and hip area. (I later find out it's because of the chair I had at work.) What shocked me is on this first visit she has me do a few bend here, look hear, do this, do that, as a baseline of my mobility. She then takes an X-ray and we go over her discovery. It's at this point I see how misaligned my hips were (my work chair had an issue of not being leveled), the curvature of my spine and the vertebrae by my neck area that was causing my headaches (thanks to lots of computer work and driving). What shocked me was the excessive bloating I had that I could see clearly on the X-ray. She explained how my digestive system was disrupted because of how my spine was out of whack. We then set a schedule to get my body ready for the lifestyle changes I was about to encounter. Since My first visit, my mobility has changed greatly, the bloating has cut down tremendously, my digestive system is in the best working condition it's ever been.
