We booked the ride last minute and the day before we got a text asking for weights. I weight 215 and that is there cut off. I'm also 6'2 and not fat, just fit and tall. The text said they have a strict 215 policy and anyone over will not be able to ride. So I get there and with my boots, fully clothed and carrying the saddlebag with water, I weighed 221lbs. I was disappointed but figured if they have a herd of small horses I definitely don't want to hurt them. I told them that's ok just want a full refund. My friends went on the ride. They didn't love it. Was promised hidden waterfalls...but they were so far away that only 2 of 3 of my friends were actually able to see them. Miles away in the mountain. So when we went to get the refund they said no refunds. That they notified me of the weight policy. Although in the fine print of their policy it says, "we will work with you if over up to 10lbs" ...they must have forgotten about that because they quickly became rude and dismissive. Acting like we took a spot when 1/2 the herd was not going for a ride. Also we booked 24hrs before got the text 12 hrs before. And couldn't cancel if we wanted to because their policy is need to cancel with 24hr notice. Anyhow we are around horses all the time in California. When kids go out for 10 mins and start crying we bring them back and refund the parents money in full. That is good practice. For me being 6lbs heavier fully dressed with boots, if they weren't going to work with me I should have been refunded. If they were nice I would have made a donation or went and got carrots to feed all the horses. Instead I went for a hike at the ridge trail while my friends rode. Anyhow...despite their terrible business practices the ride isn't that great. Would skip this one for sure. There is a great one in up country with beautiful scenery of hillside and ocean.

The staff "everyone" was super nice. We took a short boat ride to a designated section on the water where there shop was. They went over safety instructions with the jet skies. There are cubbies available on Jet Ski Island, so feel free to bring along anything you'd like easy access to during your visit. A fun excursion when in Maui!…read more We arrived at 4:30am at the pick up location and then drove up on the mountain to watch the sunrise (it was super cold, definitely bring some warm clothes!) We did 2, 6 mile bike rides from Mille marker 9 down to 3. Then went to the little town at the bottom for breakfast and finished with another 4 mile ride back to the original location. Our guide, Joe, was the highlight of the experience. He was so funny, but also made you feel very comfortable during the ride. The views were beautiful and was so fun to watch the sun come up! You don't have to be an expert bike rider to participate, but you do go pretty fast so defintely recommended to be comfortable on a bike. (Always the option to ride down in the van if you feel uncomfortable). The ride was a little scary for me personally, but fun to try something out of my comfort zone! Would recommend for those who would like an exhilarating experience!

We only did about 15-30 minutes of walking and about 20 minutes of sight seeing, didn't walk the whole coastal trail but worth what we did see.

The full Kapalua Coastal Trail is about 1.76 miles and can be divided into four sections (see map I…read moremarked : 1. Blue 2. Yellow 3. Red 4. Green). We stayed on the west side of Maui, only about a 10-minute drive to the trail's north end. Left around 11:30am but had to detour a bit due to road work. 1. Kapalua Coastal Trail - Kapalua Bay Public Beach Parking You can plug in Kapalua Bay Public Beach Parking on Google Maps, but free parking is very limited. We drove in circles around 11:50am and couldn't find a single spot! Paid parking nearby was $20, and some restaurants had valet for $10. A little pricey just for a short hike, so we kept looking for other options. 2. Free Parking - Cliff House This lot is inside the Montage Kapalua Bay resort, but only about 10 spaces are actually free. We got lucky after waiting 10+ minutes and snagged a spot. From here, heading left takes you toward the Kapalua Bay side, passing Cliff House, Namalu Bay viewpoint, and Kapalua Bay Beach. After looping back, we continued right toward the Dragon's Teeth Trail. 3. Dragon's Teeth Trail The entrance has a small free parking lot right next to the Ritz-Carlton. Again, spots are super limited, and by the time we got there around 2pm, it was completely full. The trail takes you past Ironwood Cliffs and Oneloa Beach before reaching Dragon's Teeth. 4. Makaluapuna Ridge Trail This section continues further past Dragon's Teeth, but we didn't do this part. **Tips from our walk (123): * Switch Google Maps to satellite view to spot small parking lots. * Free parking is scarce, just come earlier if you can. * Kapalua Bay Beach & Oneloa Beach sections are sandy and flat, good for swimming and easy walking. * Dragon's Teeth is rocky, sneakers are way better than sandals. * Bring water, hat, and sunglasses. Even though it was only mid-70s (F), there's zero shade, and I ended up with a sunburned scalp after 2+ hours because I skipped my hat. Overall, this trail is short and easy, but because it runs through luxury resorts and golf courses, expect crowds. Still, the coastal views are stunning and definitely worth adding to your Maui itinerary.
