I don't recommend using ANY employment agency, but now that this one "owns" Newnan, you might have…read moreto. My advice would be to go elsewhere and at least give them some competition. I can't imagine there are any worse out there - and I KNOW the contracts of other agencies are better for the worker. I was never a fan of unions, but this devil needs that devil to even things out between the agency/client vs. the worker. As nice to your face as they may be - don't forget you are just their tool. The company where you are placed is their client - not you. They will do anything to please that client - even if it means lying to you. They will bill a job as "temp to hire" and 11 months later, you'll still be in that job as a temp. I don't know about you, but if an employer can't commit to a hire date even a year out, at less pay, with your successful work -- IT'S NOT A TEMP TO HIRE. But, too late, they have you signed on now - right? Meanwhile, they act like they are doing you a favor by "offering health benefits". The idea they can call it this with a staight face is both incredulous and frightening to me. Approximately $100 a month with no coverage - another kickback for the agency itself at the worker's expense. People better take notice - they are here to stay and are getting larger. They have in their current contract that you CANNOT be hired permanent by the co. where they place you until you have been there at least six months working with 50% of your income going to them. But what CAN happen is: they look for reasons to terminate you so they do not have to pay UI benefits; you cannot take off for interviews even if you've been there 11 months as a temp and your requests for permanent status are completely ignored; make you think nobody is interested in you because as long as you are placed with one employer, they will not share with you interest in you by another client of their's. BEWARE!
