Best haircut my husband has had in a while. He definitely will go back again. My son recommended Matt and he was great.

This place is incredible. Matt gives my son the best cut. Amd we talk sports the whole time we are in there

The good: All of the barbers are great. You will get a good haircut. The bad: No online check in so you end up wasting a significant portion of your day (sometimes over an hour) in the waiting area. This could easily be avoided with the online check in process that every other place uses so that you can time when to show up It's cash only and they don't even have an ATM onsite so you need to run a separate errand in order to pay. It's bare bones. Franchise places like sport clips will be able to give you a shampoo/wash afterwards. This place is just the haircut. They charge about 50% more than the great clips down the street. They do a better job if you have a complicated haircut, but if you are a regular guy with a simple haircut you will be paying a premium for no reason read more

Ridiculous experience! Mike the barber was so involved with Gossip that he gave a friend the worst haircut he's ever had. The guy was like an adolescent read more

Always get a great haircut! The barbers are all very friendly and professional. All age groups come in - kids, adolescents, adults. Sometimes it does get busy. But worth waiting. read more

Always accommodating and professional. Their cuts are always top notch! Matt and his staff are friendly and his place is clean and organized

Great flat top and that's not easy to find these days. Great beard trim. Highly recommended!

Call up to make sure they are open .The man said til 6:30 .Go over to the place they say that they take the last customer at 6pm .If that's the case they should of told me when I called .No customer service at all . read more

Iv'e been a patron for years, I can confidently say that this barbershop boasts a team of consistently excellent, skilled barbers. Matt's team of barbers expertise and attention to detail have kept me coming back time and again. The atmosphere is friendly, the service is top-notch, and the results are always impressive. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a reliable and talented barber. read more

I have been going to Matt's Barber Shop on a regular basis, at least every week and half for the last 8-10 months. So much I never need to tell Mike what I want he just knows. They all do an amazing job, but personally, I have been working with Mike. He knows his way around clippers and my head of hair (very thick/dark). He'll ask what you would like and them add his twist or flare to it, almost is effortless. He takes his time, and it's almost like I don't even need to see, I'm ALWAYS confident that I'll be walking out looking as clean and tight as ever. I recommend Matt's Barber Shop 100%, both Matt's and Mike are all outstanding barbers. read more

This place has the best barbers in Hunterdon county bar far and maybe even all of New Jersey. Sports always on. A real NYC barber vibe. Good people. Totally recommend to any man in need of a place for their next shave and cut read more

Best haircuts in the area BY FAR. Very reasonable prices for what you get. Quality haircuts. Saturday's are not worth going because of the INSANE wait times (1hr+). I personally go weekdays around 3pm and there's usually like 15 minutes wait, which is fine. I go to the deli next door once I'm done and it's a good day. read more

The place is decent for being in the middle of nowhere. Flemington NJ is nowhere near being a city, therefor expectations albeit lower, my giving 3 stars is still iffy & "pushing it" at best. Prices are to high for a barbershop, (idk that it's in the 4th richest county in the nation). It's a barbershop/nothing special about it. I've gotten a couple good cuts there & a couple that I ended up paying to get fixed by another barber the following day. Pretty discouraging after spending 30$ on a quick fade. Nothing like an in the city barbershop vibe. Again, location it's just what it is. Would I recommend them over other local barbershops-nope. I suggest others to try around like myself & figure out what's best, as I've done over time for myself. read more

Went there for the first time today and asked for a fade. I have tough hair to work with and it was honestly the best haircut I've ever received. 5/5 stars will definitely go back! read more

I am from out of town and visiting relatives in Flemington. I needed a haircut and decided on Matt's. I'm glad I did. I got the best haircut I've had in the last twenty years. My barber was Matt himself. He's a really nice guy and a terrific barber. I will go out of my way to get a haircut from him every time I'm in town. read more

Great barbaershop with good laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. I've tried them all and get a great cut every time. Plus, the wait is always short! read more

Great cuts and atmosphere. All the guys do a great job. I never have to wait long. They have plenty of seating, barbers and a big screen tv! read more

I went in for my first haircut the other day on Friday and was blown away with the awesome atmosphere. The guys are really cool and make you feel welcomed once you walk inside. I had Michael as my barber and like every barber asked how I wanted my haircut and then made recommendations on what would look best for my head. I'll def be going back to get a haircut. read more

I've lived in Flemington my entire life and I've always had a hard time finding a barbershop that I could rely on. After trying numerous barbershops, I came across Matt's Barbershop. I've been coming to Matt's Barbershop for over 2 years, every 2 weeks consistently, and this review is long overdue! If Yelp allowed me to leave a review every time I got a haircut, there would not be one negative review about this place! Michael has been my barber the entire time, and let me tell you, I would not hesitate to recommended him to everyone I know! Most barbers will hastily rush you through a cut or not listen to your requests, But Michael on the other hand, takes care of you in giving a precise and fashionable haircut. Michael will always listen to your recommendations on how you want your hair to be styled, and then give you his own feedback and recommendations based on what he thinks will look the best on you. He really takes the time throughout the haircut to show you exactly what he is doing, and in the end, I am never dissapointed! I have referred a few of my friends to Michael, and now they have made Matt's Barbershop their new haircut home. I work in retail, so my attention to detail of customer service is always an importance of mine. Michael makes every visit enjoyable and has never let me down and I would highly recommend Matt's Barbershop and Michael to everyone I know! Check it out! read more
