Well, I see overall ratings for at least this location seem spotty at best. I have to say that was not my experience. Got what we wanted at what appears to have been a very fair price, all considered. Looked at their most obvious competitor, and Costco, both in-store and online. Yes, Costco might've possibly had something a bit better at a bit lower price. But not being able to try things out, and from a phone call to them, it seemed like the one I wanted would just come delivered, for us to carry, install and set-up, a non-starter. Online comments had some people having issues, to which they pointed out Costco is very good with returns. But would have meant disassembling myself, having it shipped back, and doing all again. I wanted proverbial hand-holding start to finish, to ensure any problems could be rectified by picking up a phone. Turned out there were none. Bed was actually a little high off the ground for us, but MW came back and removed a 3" piece from each leg, and is now fine. Very nice, adjustable frame, split-king with comfortable Serta hybrid. Bottom line: ask lots of questions. The sale ad said free next day delivery. I was offered 2 day delivery, which was fine, but they tacked on $100 delivery fee. I had to sign something saying they wouldn't remove stained mattresses so assumed (my bad) that they would remove my old mattress set. The day before delivery they called and asked if I need the old set removed. I said yes and they charged an additional fee for each piece. You got me mattress warehouse but you'll never get me again. Some old fart really came up to me, judged how I looked and thought I didn't have money to buy a mattress here with my girlfriend. This would earn 0 stars. First of all, never judge a book by its cover. Whoever raised this man definitely didn't raise him well enough to be respectful towards customers. Definitely lost my business. Second, mattresses are extremely overpriced. I'd rather go to Costco for a mattress where it's half the price and twice the better quality. Brandt, the only salesperson in the Fairfax store, offered us headboard at a discount to make the sale although he probably knew that same was not in stock. How couldn't he? We learned of it too late to refuse delivery of the mattress set. When contracted he made some excuses and offered a refund! Easy out. It's a ploy to make a sale. This review is an actual review of a purchased product. I will review the customer service as well as the product. I purchased this product by calling the toll free number and purchasing over the phone. Customer Service Review: When I inquired about having my old mattress taken away the represantavie stated that if I purchased a mattress protector for $30 dollars it would protect my warranty and include the cost of mattress disposal. When my mattress was delivered the drivers would not remove the old mattress and when I the customer representative he conveniently forgot about our conversation regarding the mattress protector purchase and basically told me I was out of luck. The customer service representative actually went so far as to tell me to drop it off at a private dumpster. This is the last email I received regarding mattress disposal: Michell, Unfortunately, it would have to be picked up with a delivery. You would be able to drop it off at a dumpster, if you know of one near you, but we wouldn't be able to dispose of it. Again, this was my error, and I do apologize for the inconvenience and confusion. My take: Apologies and excuses are for little kids. Not grown adults and they definitely have no place in a business transaction. The absolute least Mattress Firm could have done is offered me a refund on the $30 dollar mattress protector that is actually worth about $2. Mattress Review: Mattress was delivered on April 17th. Today is April 24th. I've had the mattress for one week and there is already a large sag in the mattress. When I contacted customer support i was told the following. This is a cut and pasted email response. And remember, this is after having the product for 7 days! Mitchell, We do not offer a return. You would either need to file a warranty claim for the sinking, or execute a Comfort Exchange after 30 days of having the mattress. Those would be your only two options with the mattress. First of all, I'd like to say that I initially gave Mattress Warehouse a five star review because the manager offered a discount on the mattress if I did. Unfortunately, I have to drop the stars in my review because of my experience after the mattress was delivered. When I purchased the mattress, Jessica also encouraged me to buy a mattress protector. I chose one that she recommended, and took it home with me and washed it so that it was ready for the mattress delivery as she said to do. When the mattress was delivered a month later, the protector did not fit the mattress at all. It was much too deep. When I looked at the package from the protector, it said it was for mattresses 14.5" - 20" deep, but the mattress I had bought was only 11.5" deep. I didn't have the mattress dimensions when I bought it, and I trusted that the salesperson would sell the right protector. I tried to take the protector back since I had been sold the wrong one. Jessica would not give me a refund because she said that the package had been opened. She's correct - I opened it and washed it based on her advice. She would only exchange it for a less expensive protector, with no refund for the difference. She assured me that the new protector would fit, but it was also too big. I paid an extra $140 and never received a protector that I could use. I don't recommend this store because they do not take responsibility to fix their own mistakes. read more

When I found the bed was too high, Hassan personally came to my home on HIS DAY OFF to make the necessary adjustment to my bed frame. I couldn't have asked for better service. read more

Update*** I purchased three mattresses from here; one queen and two full. I like the agreed upon price, which included delivery and frames. When the delivery guys show up they ask what they should set them up on... We say "the frames that should be on your truck." Well, it turns out there were no frames. They deliver and tell me to call the store. So I called the store and they don't see the frames we agreed upon on my receipt. Lesson 1: Always check your receipt line by line and have them explain all the abbreviations. What I thought was going to be the frames turned out to be the box springs. Shame on me for not checking the list twice. Even though the area manager was the one to approve my purchase price and was sitting next to the guy writing my ticket, the ticket was written incorrectly. When I called the staff didn't quite know how to handle it. I was told they would call me back momentarily, I waited 10 mins and called back, they magically had the answer. So I've marked them down a star because of the improper receipt, poor communication and the fact that I then had to drive to the store to pick them updated that day. Five hours later. Lesson 2: Communication is an art. Upon arriving to the store I figured two-minutes tops. I'll walk in say good afternoon, show my receipt, load them up and drive into the sunset. Nope. The only guy in the store didn't have a clue what I was talking about and he needed to call someone to figure it out. Really a waste of time and it shows poor management and communication skills. My wife and I went into the store looking for a mattress. We found the salesman Cory to be helpful and he spent some time with us and helped us decide on a mattress. We purchased a Kingstowne mattress for around $3400 and we're excited to receive it. Unfortunately the mattress showed up with a tear on the top of the mattress. When my wife called the store and we were greeted with a kind whatever attitude that smelled of "well we got their money now - they're not a priority". After the second mattress was shipped to us it had two rips on the underside of the mattress so I did not allow that mattress to be brought inside and I turned it away. At this point they had taken our old mattress and now I have a mattress with a tear on the top. I called the store requested a refund I was told that it was going take 30 days to process my refund. I went into the store and demanded that they file for the refund in front of me. I did not argue the incredibly long wait but can you believe it's 2021 and it still takes 30 days to do a refund with that mattress warehouse? About 25 days into the refund. I started making calls to the store because no one had called about scheduling a pick up. Everyone at the store played ignorant like it wasn't their job and that I needed to call the district office for answers. I asked for the district managers number and started making calls. Interestingly when the salesman called the district manager he would answer but when I would call he didn't answer. I called nearly 40 times over the course of the next few weeks. When I finally got hold of someone I demanded they put me in touch the district Manager. Once again I was transferred to the voicemail. After days and weeks The district manager finally managed to return my calls. and then his excuse for not returning my call was that the phone number that I had was a phone number that he didn't have access to even though his name was on the recorded message. After about six weeks I finally got my refund. So this is a really long way of saying do not buy from this company. They aren't honest and they crooks. if you're not happy with the quality of product that you received they will do everything in their power to stall your refund and make it as uncomfortable as they can for you to get your money back and find something that makes you happy. I will never shop at a mattress warehouse again. read more

Why can't they follow through with a refund as promised? We special ordered a California king bed with headboard and footboard to complement the mattress and foundation we purchased. We choose this size specifically because of room size constraints. Well, it doesn't exsist, we weren't notified either, but upon our inquiry we found out the only options were a king bed , which added the additional size we couldn't accommodate or headboard only. My experience with this store consider roller Koster. I purchased an adjuster bed flame on Sunday and have it schedule to deliver on Monday. On the same Monday morning I realized that it will comes with two piece for king size bed. I knew I will not like the slip king base, then I called Noweed who is also my sale representative. He was extremely patient with me to work with. Then we switched to another bed flame that fit our needs by his help. This is our second time of purchase. We will come back to this store and will recommend friends and family because of the customer service I received. read more

I bought a mattress a few months ago. At first it felt okay, but I noticed how it was sagging. I felt I had to practically climb up out of bed. I went back to the store and Naweed took care of me. He had me go on the bed fitting computer and took me to the beds that were picked. I didn't feel rushed. Another customer came in and he asked if I minded if he went over to them while I was deciding. So while he was with the other customers it gave me a chance to go back and forth between beds. I narrowed it down to two. I wasn't sure which one, he said I could do a comfort exchange if I didn't like the one I picked. And when I mentioned that I had budget concerns he gave me a nice deal. After several weeks going from store to store trying mattresses, I finally pulled the trigger. My experience with Naweed far exceeded my expectations. As I said I'd been to several showrooms and encountered some salespeople who were unprofessional, pushy and in some cases down right rude. Today I spent nearly 3 hours in the store coming to a decision. Afterall, you are spending several thousand dollar and you spend more time in your mattress than anywhere else. Naweed was extremely patient and pleasant with me, and seemed pretty knowledgable about the different brands. He also did make effort to work with me and my budget. When it came to his floor on the price, he even offered to honor the price until the next day to give me time to look elsewhere if I wanted to think it over more and compare my options. I have been in situations before where the salesperson told me that if I didn't purchase right then and there they would not honor the deal again after I left the store- so Naweed's approach was a refreshing change. I took only a few more minutes to think and ultimately decided to make the purchase today! Naweed was such a warm spirit and I really enjoyed working with him. read more

Bought a mattress here a few days ago. A very helpful woman named Jessica helped me find the right comfort level for me as a stomach sleeper. Found the right mattress and ordered it for a later delivery date. However, I found the mattress cheaper at another location on the web and contacted Mattress Warehouse's corporate office to try to get someone to match the price. I should have just called Jessica because they didn't have any one there to fix my issue, even though they were saying someone was going to call back from their office and I was starting to feel a bit cornered. Finally the original saleswoman I dealt with called back and got me the price I was looking for and my temporary buyer's remorse has been replaced with some good old buyer's satisfaction. read more

I dropped off the pictures with prices and specs of comparable mattress for those of their Comfort Essentials 8000 I bought. The name is not the same but specs for memory foam, I was told at the time I was buying it (3"for memory foam and 12" total), were similar. Ernest said that he will submit to HQ for approval and let me know. After 2.5 months I called to inquire about the status. The other associate said Ernest is with another client and will call me back. Never heard from Ernest. I called again (4 months at this point) and finally got to Ernest (not so friendly anymore as when I was buying the mattress since now I'm just bothering him, I guess), who said it was declined because it's not the same specs. I asked what are the specs for Comfort Essentials? He said that it's on their website and you can contact customer service. OK, I am up for a challenge! Website: uses very vague terms that do not specify the depth of the memory foam or the supporting layers (my comparable mattress had very specific measurements of these). I called the customer service line 301-682-8504 and waited forever and was never connected to anyone so I left a message for them to call me back. I also emailed them at cservice@sleephappens.com (since filling out their online form also gave me no answer). I just followed up yesterday (after 8 days of no reply from them) with the email and I got a "Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists" listing one email address because their mailbox is too full .... hmmmmm. Now I'm thinking, since the 5-star review got reply after 7 days from the Business Manager, maybe, just maybe, with my 1-star review I have the same chance... read more

I bought 2 twin mattresses with their boxes and frames, but when they delivered them to my house, I found they got me the wrong frames!
