I recently decided it was time to get a new bed. And due to multiple medical issues, I decided I would look into an adjustable base. I really thought this was going to be a long tedious process for me. I am definitely a high maintenance type of person as I am VERY OCD. I first spoke with Tim on the phone, and I IMMEDIATELY clicked with him. Not once did he make me feel like I was inconveniencing him with my hundreds of questions. Something I have experienced elsewhere, many times. Apparently there is a limit on questions one can ask at most places. I spoke to Tim several times, over several days, before even stepping foot in the store. They didn't carry the adjustable base I was looking at, so Tim immediately set out to find out whether or not he could get it for me. Turns out the one I was looking at couldn't be ordered at the price I could get it elsewhere, so Tim told me about another one, that turned out to be better than what I was looking at. I have to be honest, I've NEVER made a major purchase like this as fast as I did this one! And it wasn't because Tim rushed me. It was because Tim was SO knowledgeable, willing to answer my hundreds of questions, AND able to give me a GREAT price. He made me completely comfortable with my purchase. The customer service Tim gave me was OUTSTANDING!!!!! And because of my OCD I can be difficult to please at times. When the guys came to deliver my new bed they were great as well. Not only were they fast (way faster than I though they would be), but they were polite and careful of not only the new bed, but my walls and furniture as well. They never once complained that I was in their way when I stood and watched them get everything set up. They were super friendly and definitely efficient. And ON TIME! They call you in the morning to let you know when they will be to your home, and they showed up right when they said they would. I honestly can't say enough about Tim and his team. Over the past few years 1 have made purchases at this store. I needed a new bed for toddler and Tim, store manager made recommendation in my budget. When we got the bed delivered, realized that the mattress/box spring combo was several inches higher than the one it replaced, a potential hazard for a 3 year old. Tim replaced the box spring at no charge and the new low profile box spring bring the bed height down to the set we replaced. While picking up the new box spring, my son who bought a mattress from this store 2 years ago complained about the way the mattress had worn and he now sinks several inches into it. Tim provided a form and my son was able to get a full refund from this mattress to apply to a new one. Son also purchased a mattress cover and the zipper broke when we took off the old mattress. Called Tim who gave us copy of original receipt and contact, that was also replaced promptly at no charge. The experience of buying something point of sale is important and should be a positive one as it was with us at Mattress Warehouse. The real test is when something goes wrong long after the sale...how are you treated and does the problem get solved promptly. Our experience in both scenarios were exemplary and Tim was both professional, courteous and empathetic in regard to our problems and needs. Everything he promised was delivered without exception. At the end of the day as a consumer, all I want is value for whatever is purchased and to be taken care of if something goes wrong, Our experience with Tim and Mattress has been truly gratifying and I only wish other vendors could understand that this level of customer service will keep us coming back again and again. read more

My wife and I have been wanting a king bed for years. We have never had one in the 18 years we have been married. We finally decided about 2 years ago we were going to start looking. It doesn't take this long to research but we just could not find the right mattress and sometimes we would find the right one but the salesperson knew nothing about it. So we kept looking. We walked into Mattress Warehouse beside Starbucks at Valley View Mall and spoke with Julia. She was AWESOME! I told her we wanted to look for a few and I took my shoes off and went to climbing on beds. I was having fun like I typically have done searching for mattresses. After looking at quite a few, we laid on the Serta I Series Endowment. It was love at first sight. Once I laid down, I knew immediately this was the one. My wife agreed. (thank goodness) After some negotiating fun, we got a great deal and we bought it! We also bought 2 pillows and a beast of a frame and an awesome headboard. We also dealt with Tim when there were some inventory issues and this guy treated me like I was the only customer he had. I manage an ATV/RV dealership (sales manager) and have been doing so for about 13 years and I know how vital customer service is and these guys went way above my expectations and I am a difficult person to please because I expect great customer service skills from professionals. If I know of anyone looking for a mattress, this is the ONLY place I will recommend and the only people I would send my friends to. We had a mattress exchange situation. The manager Tim Dunbar who we have dealt with before once again made this process totally a breeze for us! He personally came out to our home instead of sending an outside vendor to take the pictures necessary for the corporate office in order to complete our exchange. This allowed us to pick out a brand new mattress no questions asked. Within just 5 days we had a brand new Tempurpedic Cloud adjustsble base bed delivered to our home and the mattress we needed removed was gone. The delivery guys did a great job. They were very professional and left my home very clean. Tim's customer service is always outstanding! He goes above and beyond the call of duty. It's a matter of fact he was off the day of my delivery and he told me to call his cell phone should there be any problems with setting up the bed. I have a low profile bed base and he wanted to be available if there were set up issues on his day off. That is amazing customer service in my opinion! This day and time vendors some time don't show up for apppointments, they don't return phone calls and they don't usually give you their cell phone in case you need them on their day off that's for sure. This is just they way Tim handles his customers. He cares, he wants them to be satisfied and happy sleeping on the right mattress. I recommend everyone who is in the market to purchase a mattress to go see Tim. He will put you on the right mattress and he will always treat you fair. I'm not sure why the only "recommended" review for this business is the ONLY bad review - seems like a really unfair representation - but I'll add my two cents. My husband and I were looking for a king size mattress and had done a small amount of looking online and at other stores before we saw the sale signs outside and walked into the Mattress Warehouse at Valley View in Roanoke. Tim, the manager, was in the store that day and we were the only customers during our visit. He was very helpful and not pushy as we tried out a few options in our price range. We ended up purchasing that day and got a great deal. Our bed just arrived and we had the best night's sleep we've gotten in a long time - we were satisfied with the selection, the customer service, and the price we were offered. My husband was home when it was delivered and the delivery man brought the mattress inside and there were no issues with the delivery, which arrived two days after we ordered the mattress. I don't think the experience could have been better, so it gets five stars from us! read more

Last week I went into Mattress warehouse to proce mattresses so that I could go to two more stores in order to get the best deal. I went into the store with the mattress I wanted ot buy, whihc is the serta iseries plush. They had the mattress and Tim (who is super helpfull) showed me the mattress and did let me know that it was the best mattress they had for the proce. He suggested I lay on one more bed which was almost as comfortable but about 1,000 more than I wanted to spend. I told Tim I was going to go to two other stores to compare prices. Tim said I could come back and he would honor those prices and suggested that to avoid wasting my time to go on the websites to check the prices. I went on the website which quoted me a price for the same mattress. Tim was able to honor that price as well as give me a free mattress conver and free delivery. I recommend talking to Tim, he was very honest, up front and willing to give me a good price. read more

My fiance and I went in looking for a Queen sized mattress and bed frame. Tim greeted us quickly and was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Tim was courteous and listened to my fiance and my likes, dislikes, and even was able to address issues with my chronic back pain. Tim was able to clearly and concisely discuss the differences between mattresses and their various manufacturers as well as explain why beds features were beneficial to fit our needs. With Tim 's help we selected a Serta mattress, and I we couldn't be happier. I could tell an instant difference in my sleeping pattern as well as my back pain when I woke up in the morning. Without Tim 's professional insight I do not know what we would have ended up with. We will return in the future, and will recommend Tim and his store to family and friends. My husband and I recently bought a king size bed from there. Tim, the salesman was very eager, but nice and tolloeraled our energetic son. He did have us lay on this "scientific bed matching" computer experiment. I didn't believe it for a second, but it was cute having him try to convince us. Nevertheless, we left that day purchasing a bed. It was delivered the very next day. The delivery crew were very professional and quick. However, the bed had a huge lump in the middle and was as hard the floor. The first night sleeping on it was misery. My husband called the store and talked to Ronny (I believe that was his name), who had no problem with us picking out a new bed. We went back to Tim. He was very apologetic and assisted us with picking out the second bed. The new bed was delivered a few days later with no problems. So far so good. read more

We have been looking for a good mattress for quite a while. We were warmly welcomed in the store at Town Square Boulevard by the manager Julia who went above and beyond helping us! She knows her business well and was extremely patient as we tried out various mattresses that were recommended. She was very informative about all of the ones we tried out and were very impressed by her knowledge. We immediately put our trust in her. We have had our new mattress for about a month now, and couldn't be more pleased. We thank Julia for her knowledge in helping us find the one that fit our needs. I went into the Valley View store and was immediately greeted by a salesman. He had several other customers he was waiting on. Within 3 minutes, Tim introduced himself to me and my fiance. He probed us with a few questions and took us to his testing machine. He proceeded to show us a few mattresses but we weren't sure about spending that much money. He left us alone to talk and decided to go with a bed that the machine recommended, He was not pushy like most. (We had been to a competitor and walked out in less than 2 minutes there.)
