Just wanted a simple mattress for under $200. I first went to a chain store near where I live. Big mistake. I was shown all kinds of mattresses (none of which I wanted) around $600 or $700 when I clearly said my max was $200 that I was willing to spend. The salesman tried to sell me a basic twin size, coil mattress claiming it was "on sale" for $300+ dollars, but then he sat me down and said that he'd give me a deal by selling it for $280. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Each time I tried to leave, the price magically reduced until his "final" offer reached $180 but I had to buy the mattress right there and then, or leave a deposit to pick it up later. *insert eye roll* Yup...buh-bye. He tried every tired salesman-y trick in the book, and I was there for like half and hour. Just based on that experience, I was hesitant to try again, but I'd heard so many good things about Rockland Mattress (a local company!) that I schlepped down to Nanuet to see if they had what I needed. I entered the door and was greeted and then left alone to browse (heaven!!). When I was ready, I approached Dan, and asked him what twin-sized mattresses he had. He didn't try to upsell me or come up with fake prices. He showed me what he had available that met what I was looking for, and told me the price (which was far lower than $180 and for a way better mattress). Boom....done. No haggling needed. I bought the mattress right then and there, and Dan even loaded it into my minivan for me. I think the whole transaction lasted less than 10 minutes. If you're in the market for a mattress, do NOT waste time going anywhere else. Just make a beeline to Rockland Mattress. There's a reason they've been in the business for over 30 years. You can really see that they value their customers as clients instead of commissions. I'll definitely be heading back there next time I'm in the market for a mattress!

We went in the store on a Friday afternoon and met Isaac the owner. Discussed business and these bar stools we were interested in. He said if you want them I will give you a good price. We came back the next day to purchase them once we had our money together. Guess what? He did what he said he would do. He honored his promise - they shrink wrapped our stools and we were off! My delivery came to my house and mind you after set up on 02-04-2025 my partner and I almost collapsed to the ground due to poor set up. The next day went back into the Rockland plaza store met with another rep who was amazing by the way and took our matter seriously ended up getting a good deal with protection plan. Then on 02-14-2025 I had seen online that the president's day sale was cheaper for a better mattress than the one I originally ordered and the adjustable frame was at a cheaper price then what I paid before the managers special that was originally applied. So I spoke with my original sales rep and asked to switch out my mattress and put me in a better one knowing to receive what was to be an adjustment to my lease in price and quality but was told to wait till wensday February 19th and meet with my original rep to make those actions. We'll lord and behold wensday February 19th came and I walked into the Nauet store and was told by the rep that my original sales rep was supposably Majorly sick and i mean ill mind you I felt horrible for i who have multiple major health issues take sickness seriously!!! Expressed to that rep what i was wanting to have adjusted and was told that I was misinformed so for the inconvenience the district manager would be willing to offer my switch out of my mattress and put me in the one I wanted for $100.00 more and that adjustments to my lease would not be honored as agreed with my original rep. Huge miscommunication on my original sales reps part!!!. Was then at that time told by that rep to personally call my rep and deal with what I needed and to also call another store manager from a different state and have them take care of me like I was now an employee and no longer a valued customer meanwhile chuckling at me in the most wise crack manner!!!. So after all that BS was said and done i was at that time told that a District Manager would be contacting for my current issue by 3pm or 48hrs. I ended up going to the Rockland Plaza store and told that rep mind you who was absolutely amazing but appalled from what they was hearing of what I just went threw with that other rep. Ended up calling their store manager Hovadis who just so happen to be in the area took my complaint to heart and offered me 10yr protection on both mattress and adjustable base with the $100.00 that was used with the rep from the other store, also told that MY ORIGINAL REP WAS NEVER SICK NOR ILL THEY JUST WAS GIVEN A DAY OFF. NOT COOL TO LIE ABOUT ANYONE BEING SICK!!!!. Now at this point I am told my new replacement will be delivered 02-20-2025 and all will be settled...got my replacement and was accused by the delivery reps that their was mattress damage which ended up being false and situation fixed on their part for mishandling the switch out approved by their supervisor to move forward and sign my invoice as all ok!!! Thank God!!!. Ended up going back into the Rockland Plaza store 02-21-2025 meeting with another rep expressed what happened with my delivery and current situation and finally got to speak with the District Manager that was supposed to take place the day before but was told that he wanted his employees to handle the situation....that's your job not your employees!!!! That's #1!!!!!. Moving forward i am very greatful for all your Manager has done for me..and...Naomi and Ed for handling my situation with compassion and respect and for taking me as a customer seriously . Upon arriving, a woman greeted us-- my mom immediately asked if they deliver to South Carolina, and they do. She informed my mom that they take 2-3 weeks to deliver depending on the item. We then said that we were looking for desks. She immediately took us to the back where the desks were located. She also found someone else to help us, who knew more about the desks if we had any questions. We looked around at the desks. They looked very modern and not at all to our liking. They didn't really have any white desks either-- or white desks with a drawer and a cabinet to store files. Most of them had drawers but so little and not a small cabinet in sight. My parents did like one desk, but again, was a little modern, so we walked out of there without buying anything.

Never recd. now they are going to send me a check for $175 and a gift card for $25. Never recd. my salesman said everyone is having the same problem. So why ? Do not shop at this store. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable, warm and pleasant, but she effortlessly guided us through our picky requests with ease as she settled us into the couches we were meant to own. Then I had to take an important personal call which delayed our shopping by a half hour and put us well past her end time for the day. She just patiently and pleasantly waited and then guided us on to the next area of mattresses and frames. Unsurprisingly she picked the most amazing one for us and we were sold on it instantly. Add in her pillow, sheet, and cover recommendations and we were on cloud nine. Couldn't be happier. Nicole stayed an extra HOUR AND A HALF past her clock-out time to help, advise, guide, assist and treat us like we were long lost friends. Her service was OUTSTANDING, as was her demeanor and overall knowledge and expertise. We're not sure what her actual job title is, but she should be Managing or running her own store. We canceled our bed because there was about a 12 week lead time to get the mattress. How on earth can a national company like Sleep Number not have inventory ready to go out the door? The process of trying to reach customer service was difficult and frustrating. Sadly I would not recommend them unless they improve their inventory situation.
