We had a very disappointing experience with Red Barn Furniture that stretched over more than a year…read moreand involved repeated product failures and poor warranty handling. We purchased a custom loveseat in October 2024, delivered in December 2024, along with a 5-year extended warranty. Our salesperson, Derek, told us this was the best quality product they sell and assured us that durability would not be an issue. Problems began immediately. During the initial warranty period, the entire unit had to be replaced because the leather arrived with razor cuts from unpacking. After the replacement, service had to return again to replace the reclining mechanism. The loveseat continued to experience structural issues under normal residential use. In September 2025, after another failure, we were told to file a warranty claim, which conflicted with what Derek had told us at purchase about how warranty issues would be handled. From the time the claim was filed, it took over three months for a third-party technician to inspect the loveseat. During that period, Red Barn sent their own technician, who stated there was nothing wrong, despite the ongoing problems. The warranty company later said required images had not been received, yet neither the warranty company nor Red Barn contacted us by phone or email to request them. When a third-party technician finally inspected the loveseat, it was determined to be not repairable. Despite this, the service manager, Grayson, continued to delay resolution and suggested another repair with no timeline. As of January 2026, we are left with a broken loveseat and no meaningful resolution. This was not an inexpensive or entry-level purchase, and the lack of accountability after the sale has been extremely frustrating. Based on our experience, I would be very cautious about purchasing furniture here, especially anything custom or heavily upsold on quality and warranty coverage.

Once we were back home, we decided to stop into Mattress Firm to see what sales were running and what options they had. Unfortunately, I don't remember the associate's name, but from the moment we walked in, she was extremely helpful. We explained exactly what we needed and that the beds were for our place in Myrtle Beach, not locally she said that was no problem at all. She took us straight to the Twin XL section and pulled out several mattresses for us to try. After narrowing it down, we asked about pricing on one of the beds, and it came in right where we wanted to be. However, she noticed it wouldn't arrive in the timeframe we needed, so she immediately found another option that would work and it ended up being another great deal. By the time we left, we felt very well taken care of. We purchased two Twin XL mattresses, mattress protectors, and even received two free bed frames thanks to a special they were running. Great experience from start to finish. If you're in the market for a mattress, go in and see her you'll be glad you did.

The salesperson who helped me was called Taylour and she was an absolute delight. She knew her product lines like the back of her hand and helped direct me to "the one" without trying to hard sell me on something I really couldn't afford. The delivery was inside the 3 hour window and super fast. In fact, I made a last minute change to the date, and Taylour made it happen. Taylour gets all the stars!!!

Bill Torres worked with me to find the best mattress but didn't try to pressure me into anything. I took my time and tried out several mattresses and even took a few cat naps while I was there. Bill was patient and spent time explaining a lot of details about the various types of mattresses from innerspring to memory foam to hybrid. I settled on the Serta I-comfort hybrid blue fusion plush mattress with an adjustable base. Let me just tell you - an adjustable base will change your LIFE!!! I always considered that to be for the older generation but it's the best investment I could have made. My kingsdowne base raises the head and feet and comes with a massage feature as well as underbed lighting. It's amazing! I also got a floor model bed set, which includes the headboard and surrounding structure for a reasonable price. My new mattress and furniture was delivered three days later with no extra charge for delivery. The delivery guys were very careful with my furniture and didn't bang up anything while they moved my old bed out and my new one in. I am definitely one of those people that does comparison shopping and this experience was no different. I compared prices on my phone while I was in the store and Bill never tried to dissuade me from doing so. They have lied and taken advantage of us and we will never shop at a mattress warehouse again.
