So this year they got the gift of good sleep:-) When you walk into Sleepworld it's very different from other mattress stores. The national chain stores feature fluorescent lighting and pushy sales people. Not to forget all of their products are off gassing toxic petroleum and fire retardants. Sleepworld is a very relaxing atmosphere. The lighting is calm. The employees are very knowledgeable and want you to be an educated consumer. The moment that I mentioned my concerns of off gassing, I was immediately pointed towards certain products and price points. I was never judged! Nor was I given any condescending crap like, "those claims haven't been scientifically proven," or, "the EPA says those chemicals are perfectly safe!" No, I was given alternative choices. I also had the opportunity to work with Amanda the store manager. Fabulous!! Not even kidding, she's fantastic. I will shop at Sleepworld again! I will work with Amanda again. But a week into sleeping in the Queen it actually hurt my husbands back, which they were informed he deals with a lifelong back injury from a car accident. Every store we spoke to offer a 120 days trial. Even now. We had it for 8 days. ( only because they are closed two days in the middle of the week). They offered to pick it up and give us 20% off another mattress. No refunds. No exchanged. It was nearly $1800.00 and they would not ( like the other three places I spoke with ) stand behind their product. Sad. So if you plan on buying a mattress I strongly suggest you try a company willing to stand behind what they sell. This one does not. We obviously went with another company that is willing ( in writing ) to guarantee what they sell.

i hate furniture shopping. if i had a bgrillion dollars, this would be a blast but sadly, i dont…read moreand it isnt. i started my search on line. looking for a leather sofa in red or orange. amazon, overstock, josh and main, havertys, rooms to go etc etc. i walked into haverty;s, was greeted by william in a non-aggressive manner. he was helpful, we looked at leather and cloth options. i like him. he doesnt push into more expensive options ( i can do that without any help, thank you very much). i pretty much decided on a sofa and went home to think. i looked again at haverty's reviews from the past year or so. pretty good, except for the delivery company. those sort of sucked (rude, late, etc etc.) i conveyed this to william. went in the following day and was greeted by william and the store manager, vanessa. they both FULLY OWNED the past delivery issues. no hedging, no excuses. i like that. just own it. haverty's has since hired full time delivery personnel. so, i bought the sofa, (sadly in black not a bright colour because im the only person who wants a bright orange leather sofa) they assured me delivery would be easy and prompt. i had conversations with the delivery scheduler and the delivery truck guy. all helpful and nice. really pleased with the whole experience. the next time i torture myself with funiture shopping, i will stop at haverty;s first. oh wait!!! william also gave me the name of a charity to pick up my old sofa and that could not have been easier!! thanks william.

We figured after seeing so many ads on social media that we would try a 'purple' brand mattress. We were absolutely MISERABLE with it and returned it. We decided we wanted to purchase the same mattress as our queen size but in a king size. I called mattress man and spoke to Wes, the store manager. I couldn't remember what kind of queen mattress we had, and Wes went above and beyond to dig through old records and figure out what we had. Ryan was helping another couple, excused himself to greet us and ask what our needs were. Since we'd been shopping for a couple of weeks, we were looking to "thin the herd", and sent him back to his other customers. He checked in with us periodically, and answered some questions and made some suggestions while finalizing the other couples purchase. When he finished, he apologized (unnecessarily) and assisted us in choosing a mattress. We'd already decided on an adjustable base (MF600 model) and he worked up a price that fell within our budget, and gave us some discount for our patience with him! Although the folks at the other Mattress Firm were very nice, we "pulled the trigger" and he helped us resolve issues with the financing company!! Go see Ryan. The best salesman out of the 5 stores here in Asheville. I have purchased multiple items from Davis furniture and have been offered additional insurance…read morethrough them with a company called Safeware insurance which I always purchase the additional insurance and we're told the insurance coverage is great it covers everything from accidental spills, stains, rips or defects. Well this is not true and Safeware insurance isn't worth the additional charge you pay because they will find a way to not cover these things so read the fine print. We purchased the Safeway warranty for our sofa and loveseat It gave us peace of mind knowing that if there was ever an accident, we'd be covered. Unfortunately, when the time came, that sense of security turned into disappointment when we were told that normal wear and tear wasn't covered then why offer insurance at all? why tell people that defects are covered? The stitching on both the sofa and loveseat are coming apart and they tell me that's not covered? As you can see in the pictures the stitching is coming apart and they say this isn't covered. Why offer this insurance and build this company up saying they cover your items when they clearly don't? That's why we paid extra for this coverage and it's disheartening to find out that when you really need it, Safeway's promise doesn't hold up. We trusted Safeway to stand by their word. Instead, we're left with damaged furniture and a bitter lesson learned. If you're considering their warranty, read every single line, and even then, be prepared that it may not protect you when it counts.
