Service/Selection Review, Not a funded review or ad, just personal opinion. Spoke with Lee about a possible new mattress in my future. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the industry and when selecting any mattress what kind of investment you are making. Went the clearance route which nullifies your manufactured warranty but your still able to talk options within the first week if it truly feels off. Not many business are willing to extend a hand or help in anyway so that was truly worth rating 5 stars. Will update on quality of mattress when it is received. This review is long over due! We went in to find a mattress to downsize from our Purple mattress and were open to other brands. The manager, Lee, was incredibly helpful in explaining to us what was somewhat similar to a Purple and helped us ultimately decide on a Purple again. He found us the best deal for our budget without trying to push us into anything outside of our comfort zone. Would definitely recommend any day! read more

I ordered MF bedding in 2013--Everything was as described They did an excellent job & delivery process/team was truly "White Glove." FOWARD 5 years later... I had a slight issue with the adjustable bed--They responded immediately as though I was a family member. Specifically, Venus did not mess around with making sure the item was taken care of and called/emailed me several times to make sure I was updated, satisfied and COMFORTABLE with ALL of my bedding. She did it w/i 24 hours. And believe me I compare reviews/research. I'm a 25 year subscription member of Consumer's Reports and Kiplincher's. I do my research & due diligence. MF is worth it!!! Bought a king size mattress and am very happy with it. But we also bought the set of mattress cover, sheet set and pillows for $299.00 and that was a huge mistake! The sheets are very cheap, wrinkles so bad that I cannot get rid of and the pillows are not even king size! I am ver6 disappointed in the quality and price of this set. read more

This is not directed toward the store in Riverview. Purchased mattress and base combo off website. On a 120 sleep trial. We are retired, on social security, and my wife disabled. This bed is just not working out and just wanted to return it. We understand about return fees. At first they wanted $300 in fees to just return a $1000 mattress, and would not return the the bed base $1200. After leaving a bad comment on their Facebook page, they contacted me back, and offered a full refund on the mattress and warranty. Which we appreciate, but they would not do a return on the bed base, citing they don't have the room in there warehouse to store it. Isn't that what the fees are for? They couldn't ship it somewhere, refurb it, resell it, recertification? I even told them we understand return fees. If we had known we couldn't return it. We would have never bought it. We were in the limits of the 120 day sleep trial when we contacted them. Never had a company refuse a return when your returning something in there time frame. Now we are forced to sell the base on our own to pay down the rest of what we owe on it. Which we won't get half of what we paid for it. We will never purchase from mattress firm again. read more

We are new comers to the Lithia area and we needed to buy three mattresses. We went in to the Gibsonton Drive location. We were greeted by a very friendly person named Kristine Gorbet. She was very knowledgeable with all the mattresses we were interested in. She even told us about the area since we were new here. There was also another person who worked beside her and his name was Tim. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Kristine also was able to give a some discounts since we bought 3 queen size mattresses. The store was very bright and clean. My husband and I would recommend this store as the go to store for getting new mattresses. Manager that was helping me took a call on the floor checking on his daughters Gymnastic classes and if paid for or not. I understand things happen and your kids come first. Although, if the employee that he hands the order to does not complete the entire order and I drive to the warehouse to pick it up and it is not on it. Do not argue with me because you thought you heard the other employee tell me the frame was out of stock. Especially when I advise you I have a foot and head board. I can't recall Mattress shopping being this pleasant ever. Came in and immediately was greeted by all the nice associates following with Nick S. walking up asking us all the right questions to take us straight to the few mattresses we had saw online and also recommended one that was everything he said it would be. I truly like & respect how the associates immediately build that relationship with you and are fully engaged the whole time. Went out to buy a mattress And ended up with best sleep ever. I travel and stay in quite a few high end hotels. I finally own a bed worth coming home to. Hands down, the WORST shopping experience I have ever had. Initial sale went well, the salesman found a deal from their other building close-by and I thought all was good. I picked up the mattress from the other building (where the salesman there seemed to be annoyed that I was bothering him with my purchase, and not offering to help me in any way) and headed home. Only then did I notice that they had sold me a Pre-Owned mattress without my knowledge. After calling to speak with the original salesman, I was told that the only way to return the mattress was paying a $149 restocking fee.. after giving me the run-around, the main office finally agreed to waive the fee. When I returned the mattress and got my return receipt from the original salesman, he did not speak one word to me from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. Very disrespectful with horrible customer service. Sorry "salesman", the store down the street that you stated was "not even considered competition" got the sale today with a similar price but higher quality service and product, and they even delivered for free after hearing my story.
