We went shopping the other day for a new bed. My husband suffers from MS and he has a hard time getting in and out of bed. Chronic back pain and spinal issues. We went to several places without much luck, until we went into Matress Firm. Roger one of their sales associates was very helpful. He took the time to explain everything, walk us through the procedures and even entertain our daughter Madison who has Down Syndrome. We got a very nice tempur- pedic bed. They delivered a little over a week ago. Delivery was fast and professional. The bed is top quality. We love it. When we purchased the bed, we were interested in a mattress cover and pillows, however, we could not afford to get the pillows and mattress cover at the time we got the bed. Much to our surprise We got a call this morning from Roger they gave us the pillows and mattress cover. What a wonderful surprise. Great community service. We really appreciated the time spent with us explaining the differences between the types of mattresses/coils/etc. It helped us to determine exactly what we want to buy. Roger was very helpful. We also learned that Mattress Firm supports a Pancreatic Cancer foundation, which is something very near and dear to our hearts. That alone probably sold us on supporting the company. We haven't bought our mattress yet, we will likely do-so in the next day or so. But we intend to purchase through Mattress Firm. But we really appreciated the time spent with us at the store. The main reason we chose Mattress Firm over a competitor is the support the store gave to Pancreatic Cancer foundations / research. That sold us as Pancreatic Cancer hits home for us. Unbelievable service! My wife and I are moving to South Carolina and needed a mattress shipped to our new home in mid September. Despite having other customers in the store the manager, a young man named Michael, spent almost 2 hours with us as he patiently explained the differences between about 7 or 8 different beds and answered every question we asked with sincere enthusiasm. In the end we ordered a Beautyrest bed that is going to be delivered to our new home. We are leaving Pennsylvania to retire and avoid the cold winters...but before we leave we want to recommend the 5 star experience we had at Mattress Firm today. My boyfriend and I bought our first mattress here and found the staff to be accommodating and incredibly friendly. We waited a few minutes because all the salesmen were tied up helping other guests. This wasn't too much of an inconvenience because we were able to peruse while the staff finished their business. It was clear that they cared about the service they were giving. Roger was patient and knowledgeable about how to care for and select a mattress without being pushy. I was nervous going in because I know mattresses can be expensive, but Roger was able to work with our requests to find us a mattress that worked well for us financially and physically. We left with a prompt delivery date for incredibly comfortable and reasonably priced queen! I've been sleeping soundly since. read more

It's day 16 since I purchased my mattress and I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. Same day delivery is offered on the website but when you speak with George (the salesperson at the store) "that's not available in pittsburgh" even though they advertise express delivery inside the store. Also you might see on the website if they don't deliver within a three hour delivery window it's free. Well don't worry about that because George says "that's not available in pittsburgh either" but they do have a 9am to 4pm delivery window. George is a typical salesperson, he's your buddy until the sale is done, then disappears and isn't on your side anymore after he gets his commission check. I'm glad I don't have to work for a company like this. read more

This place was the best. I had been told that mattress stores were very pushy about selling you overpriced mattresses and would try to get you to buy what was best for their bottom line. Not so with this store. We walked in expecting to be immediately acousted but were pleasantly surprised when they asked if we needed help and then let us look when we said no. After a few minutes we were approached and asked what we were looking for and from there the experience was amazing. Roger Welsh is an asset to Mattress Firm. I was shopping for my sister who lives 200 miles from me. I called and spoke with Roger. After I explained what my sister needed, he told me he would take care of her when she came to the store to try out mattresses. When my sister appeared the next day, Roger was waiting for her. My daughter needed a cheap king sized mattress today and the second store we went to was Mattress Firm by Beaver Valley Mall. I could not get approved on financing and I only had $350 to my name to get her a bed.
