Last time buying a bed from here. Their return policy is horrible with the restocking fees.

Mattress firm is a scam !! We paid 2k for a brand new cal king and they delivered us a king, they dont want to trade the mattress they gave us to the original mattress we paid for and the mattress spring already broke !!!!! This review is for a mattress and adjustable base that I unfortunately made online - this is not a review of this store. It all started when I came home from the physical store and was excited to check out what financing options I had with my store credit card. I had to choose the products I was interested in to get to the page to review the financing choices. I had to log into my account to verify my store credit card and when I hit submit on that screen it processed the order and charged my card without any warning or page saying submit order - this is not a good customer service practice, so I called to try and cancel the order so I could go into this local store to make the purchase as I always do - I prefer having a human in front of me when I have issues not a chat bot. I was informed that if I canceled my purchase it would be two billing cycles until the money would be released back to my card to use to make the purchase in store. This purchase was quite large - $7,217 so I decided to just keep the order - this would turn out to be the largest mistake I have ever made when purchasing anything... The misery of dealing with this company started the next day when I reviewed the receipt they sent to learn that the 48 months interest free plan that I selected was changed to 24 months so my payments are much larger than what I agreed to or wanted. I immediately contacted the online customer service and the financing company Synchrony. I got the run around for a week and then after the purchase was delivered they finally agreed to make the change but it would take 1-2 billing cycles to go into effect, not ideal but fine. Fast forward two months and it is still not fixed. Back to the chat box I went to complain and was told it was re-submitted and I would have to wait 2 billing cycles. So at this point I am being made to make 4 payments of a higher amount with no guarantee that it will ever be fixed...this is a joke of customer service. Now back to the actual mattress and adjustable base and the removal of my old bed and base. The men that came to to the delivery and take away had to be the worst work men I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They complained that they had to remove my current base, damaged my wood floors in doing so and left my new $4,100 "luxury" mattress in the dirty street half bent over for 20 mins while they dragged my old base out of the house. Then they proceeded to literally shove, bend and twist said new "luxury" mattress up my brand new house stairs damaging my walls and floors some more. They then claimed that this damage was in existence before they arrived...my house is less than a year old and I keep it in pristine condition. I have filed a damage claim but nothing has been done with it for months except the warehouse manager calling me to tell me I am a liar and his men are telling the truth and its me vs them and he "does not know what to do". Are you kidding me, someone who purchases over $7K in bedding is not trying to commit fraud to get a $300 reimbursement to cover the damage that your joke of a delivery team did to my house! But it gets worse - today I went into my local store to ask for the 120 night exchange because I felt the bed was damaged by the way the delivery was handled and I also wanted something a bit more firm since this bed is already sagging after 2 months. I was informed that I would need to deal with the people that handle online purchases and could not be helped in the store - doesn't everyone work for the same company?? This is just more red tape to avoid doing what is best for the customer. These online "employees" only work Monday - Friday 9-5 so I guess I will have to take even more time out of my work schedule to deal with them on Monday...I can only imagine what I am in for. So to sum this up: 1. Still not given any compensation for damaged floors. 2. Bed still not able to be exchanged for one that was not damaged by delivery goons. 3. Financing still not what I wanted or ordered. At this point if I don't get someone competent to help me solve this I am just going to return this POS "luxury mattress and shop someplace else that actually values the customer. He refunded the difference back to my account with no hesitation this young man was the same associate, who helped us with the original purchase, he was such a breath of fresh air, very kind and considerate. I came into the store looking to buy a mattress, which I was able to do so in less than 1hr (+); with the "free" adjustable base promotion the cost ended up being slightly less than getting the mattress base & frame ($1G total). Cons of my experience: - Mattress was delivered 1st and didn't get the adjustable base until 2 weeks + after. Never got an apology or offer to make up for the inconvenience of have the mattress on the floor and was told this is common with promotions as their vendor is not able to keep up with demand. How is this now my problem?? - The adjustable base demo at the store was also not the same base I received. Immediately after receiving the base at home I called Mattress Firm to note the issue and was only then told the one I mentioned to be an additional $500. Aside from selling a mattress quick (which anyone can do) not at all impressed with the management of their materials and customer service standards. read more

The manager is very off putting. First thing asked if I have done my HOMEWORK on the different brands! No my homework is the feel of the bed! Do not ask to start at the bottom and work your way up in price for a guest room bed! And if you ask if the delivery is in included the response is "the delivery employees have to be paid" I would hope so, but some included that in the price! Had her right the full amount of what it would total with box, frame, delivery/set up would be. Ended up at the Shaw location buying it there with better service and a LOWER Price!! Would have thought they would have been the same amount! Hope they work on commission and she just lost hers. Not only did we have an amazing experience with Aaron when purchasing our bed, but our bed delivery by Fabian was also fantastic! When we initially went to look at beds they were closing (I thought they were open later) so we went to leave and Aaron came out and told us to come in and that it was no trouble to help us out. He did not rush us at all and went through everything we needed to know about all of the beds, he seemed happy to help us rather than annoyed by us. For the longest time I've been saying to my husband, "we need to buy a new bed". Not just any new bed, a Tempur-Pedic! My parents bought one a few years ago and every time I go visit them I knock out instantly on their bed. So it's pretty needless to say, we already knew what we wanted. Sort of. Come to find out they have different kinds of Tempur-Pedics. Soft, Medium and Firm to start and then they had different lines. It was a little confusing, but the sales associates (Both of them) were kind enough to give us a break down.... a couple of times. It wasn't easy retaining all of that information about what made each group of mattresses different. We decided to go with the new cheap options that Tempur-Pedic came out with. Funny thing is, we didn't decide to go with the "Simplicity" line because of the price, we went with it simply because it was the most comfortable to us. The fact that it was cheaper was actually a huge plus because we decided to go with 2 XL Twin mattresses because I like soft and my husband wanted the medium. We ended up only paying a little over $2000, I couldn't believe it was so cheap. Again, the employees were super helpful. We would have never thought to just buy two twins to make a king, and we sure would have never know the XL Twins were the better choice. I just can't say enough about how helpful they were. The male associate, which I think was probably the manager even over saw what the female was doing and made a very awesome... adjustment. We got the bed frames too because we were going from queen to king. The male ordered us queen frames instead of twin frames because of something having to do with the length of the mattresses and balance. Something or another. read more

I told a friend I was going to go mattress shopping later that day, she recommended Sleep Train because she got a good deal for her son's mattress recently. I made this store my second stop in the search for a new mattress. I gave the sales associate my price range..she gave me great customer service and an excellent deal on my new mattress. We went in a little late and weren't sure if we were going to be able to look at a mattress, but Aaron Baker came up to the door while we were deciding and invited us in. Let me tell you, Aaron is the most knowledgeable and accommodating person that I have ever met when buying anything. He walked us through the sleep fit mattress matcher thing, then took us through the most informed tour of all of the mattresses that matched our fitting. This was an amazing, refreshing experience. So not impressed by their customers service. When we walked in not a single employee said Hi, Hello or can we help you. Two of the gentlemen were too busy watching sports on their phone. When my husband asked to speak with the employee he talked to on the phone he told the third gentleman go ahead take them. After telling the older gentleman what we were looking for, he said they did not have them in stock but could order it and it would be delivered to the store on Tuesday (we went on Saturday). Even though the man we spoke with over the phone not even 30 minutes prior said they had them in store. We told them we'd need to think about it while we shopped next door. We came back 10min later and the older gentleman was on his break so the two that were on their phone has to help us. Come to find out the bed frame was actually out of stock until Thursday and they could have it in the store by Friday evening. At this point I was pretty irritated. Three different employees within a span of 40min had given us different information. Save your time and your money cause they have no idea what they're doing at this store. read more

I am not a customer so please take my rating with a grain of salt. I was helping a buddy pick up his mattress because he didn't own a truck. My buddy assured me that the sales staff were very professional, nice and helpful at time of purchase. Later on during pick up one gentleman helped my buddy. The problem is he was extremely unprofessional in regards to my questions. At first I didn't think anything about the tone but after the pickup was complete it was quite clear that he had zero patience for me. My main concern was why my license plate was needed on my friends contract. It was night and day the way he answered my questions and my friends questions but I feel my question was a fair one that warranted a calm and concise response. My fear is there might be a two faced mentality in regards to you being a current "money maker" for them. This alone is enough for me to choose a different Mattress Firm. I have no problem with the company, I would just rather not risk bringing my future businesses to this particular employee that works in this location. read more

I needed a bed for my 7 year old, I had look around and came into sleep train today. The sales person was amazing Chanel showed me numerous beds; I saw one that I liked and was comfortable for my 7 year old it was a full size bed by Sealy. I told her I like the bed but seen a similar bed at Mattress land she advised me that they price match plus 5% less, well I was shocked she just did what she said she would, who does that anymore but Chanel doesmy credit ain't the best but she was able to approve me and now my son has a bed. But the icing on the cake was I purchased the bed today it was delivered on the same day for free Chanel said Sleep Train makes things easy and doesn't make you say no; this place is all about the customer I will always buy and refer my friends and family to come to Sleep Train for their mattress needs. read more

We are moving and and needed 3 brand new beds. I was considering buying low quality beds online or wherever and getting memory foam toppers like I usually have done in the past. But just to be sure the wifey and I went to sleep train where we met Brandon. Now I know how expensive "real" beds can get, so I was apprehensive out of the gate. Brandon put us at ease right away. By the time we left there we were proud owners of a king size Beauty rest pillow top bed and two full size pillow tops. Mattresses, boxsprings, and frames for all 3 for well under $2,000. Went in today, and the one salesman was helping another couple. That's fine, I understand that he was busy. What I didn't appreciate that within the entire 20 minutes that we were there not once, not ONCE did he even acknowledge that we were there. Didn't even say hello when I walked in, or even that he would be with us soon. No acknowledgement whatsoever. Terrible customer service. I have been researching mattresses and adjustable bed frames for several months. I had extensive back surgery and it became very apparent to me after coming home from the hospital that I dearly needed a new bed. After reading reviews and ads for dozens of mattress sets I was still indecisive. A friend pointed out Mattress Firm ( there is one very close to my neighborhood) suffice to say, I walked in the door to an empty store. The one & only employee working then came up right away. She proceeded to listen to EVERYTHING I had to say as well as what I was looking for. She even went so far as to ( by Herself!) drag a mattress off of one bed frame and onto another so that I could try out my dream mattress on the adjustable frame! Then she spent at least 30 minutes helping me to find the best way to finance a portion of my purchase and made all the arrangements for delivery. I stopped by one of the newer stores in Clovis because I needed a twin bed set with frame and I needed it "now" for a friend who had no bed of her own. Marcee, the Sales Associate, was extraordinary in her support. There was no "pushy" sales tactic, just good, old-fashioned support in answering my questions and then offering a package that would meet my need. Marcee knows her products and was extremely professional (Lucky for me, she just happened to be working in the Clovis store that day as I think she works at a Fresno store usually).
