So, Thanksgiving weekend I wandered into the Better Night Sleep Center in Farmington, in a funk and overwhelmed, just trying to see what's out there. I was greeted by Gina, one of the owners of the store. I gave her a rundown of what happened and how we needed to buy several mattresses. You would think she would latch on to the "Need to buy several mattresses" part, but she didn't. She talked with me about the fire and was really kind and caring about what we were going through. After talking for a bit she showed me a few of the mattresses that would work for us, showed me their sales, and I told her I'd come back later with my hubs. That evening my hubs and I came back to look things over and quickly picked out mattresses for the kids. Gina showed us a Posh + Lavish mattress that was on sale (40% off, be still my little heart, I LOVE a good sale!) and it was like sleeping on a cloud that still supported you in every spot you needed. We had never even heard of the Posh + Lavish brand but we were sold very quickly, lol (and it truly is an amazing mattress!!). As we were shopping for mattresses Gina offered to throw in sheets for each bed (including Bamboo sheets for us, to which I am now thoroughly spoiled and will never again use a different type of sheet) as well as a weighted blanket each for my hubs and I (honestly I really think she just wanted us to be able to rest peacefully with all we had been going through, she just has that way about her). They have been incredibly kind, helpful, and understanding the whole time. Even the delivery guys had nothing but good things to say about their bosses! All in all, Better Night Sleep Center is our go to mattress store from here on out and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a new mattress!

On the phone yesterday I was told that they could do that, it would cost $40 PER item. Today he says no. Then I told him I couldn't make the sale because I NEED those two items removed from my living room before I place the new recliner, that I have to make room for a hospital bed for my husband. He said "sorry, wish I could help", to which I replied (as I'm heading for the door), "No, I don't believe you are sorry at all". He says, "That was uncalled for", and I said, "No, it's my opinion, and I'm certainly entitled to that". And he told me I "could leave now". Too late, dude, my hand is ON THE DOOR! I'm outta here. AND, they advertise as a "family-oriented, Christian-based business". I am completely certain I will NEVER attend his "God's Gifts Ministry" church ... EVER. He couldn't care less about us needing room for a hospital bed, that we are seniors, that Ed is a veteran, or a myriad of other plights we are facing right now. They advertise that if anyone needs any kind of prayer, "Just call us, we'll be glad to pray with you". You bet. Real Christian folks there. Just another example of why many people choose not to attend a church. Hypocrite, holier-than-thou's.

Received price quote on 3 separate occasions on same fridge. Even had a printout with the stock…read morenumber and a price quote. Used this number when price comparing seemed like a reasonable enough deal. Once I placed my order and gave payment information they called back later saying they gave me the wrong price quote because they used the incorrect stock number every time 3 separate times, are unwilling to honor that price, and if I would like to proceed it would be a $300 increase. Does it make them an evil company no. Am I irritated and disappointed that I put that much effort and drove that far for an employee to screw up that many times and not feel they should honor the price yes. Take price quotes from here with a grain of salt because it clearly doesn't mean much.

He is fiercely intelligent as well as good-natured, and strikes just the right balance between helping/telling/explaining/selling and letting you just look around, test out the beds, and think and talk it over. He is conscious of the customer's budget and will not simply sell the most expensive items or add-ons; he readily says what he thinks is a good deal or investment or not (based on the customer's situation: how long you'll use the mattress, whether you want organic fibers or not, etc.). He strongly believes in his company (e.g., their giving-back program for pancreatic cancer) and seems truly happy and proud to work there; he's honed his expertise there over 6 years now. I can honestly and very happily say that the 45 minutes we spent in the store with Bryce were highly enjoyable. How different from what I had expected when I added that errand to my list: go buy a thing to sleep on! My sincere hope is that the other folks at Mattress Firm recognize what a gem they have in Bryce -- he is really something special. We ended up saving a large amount on a mattress and it was the most pain-free experience ever! We had done our research and were feeling overwhelmed at the sheer number of mattresses out there. We stopped by Preferred Mattress and provided some info about what type mattress we were looking for. Ed replied with three or four that they had in stock. We went to Macy's before to try them out but the sales staff was too pushy. After checking out a few at Preferred Mattress we picked out one we loved. It was placed in our bedroom later that day.
