We bought our first mattress from Bob for the spare bedroom, it was a king and we bought the memory foam model. We had that a year or so and decided it we liked it better than our current mattress so we went back to Bob and bought another memory foam mattress. That was 4 or 5 years ago and so far so good, we both really like it. I weigh about 225 lbs. My wife is particular about mattresses but this is the best we've had. I should not be disappointed, I guess he did warn me. Came in there this weekend with my son to buy a mattress. Money is tight right now, so I only had about 200 to spare. I know, you get what you pay for, but it is literally all I had. After showing me the one for 180, I told him I was gonna have to pass, it was too firm. He told me to sit on the one that was 260, and I told him I could not afford it, but the mattress was super comfortable. But I again said I could not afford it, he told me he would give me a deal and not to tell anyone, 220 and it's mine. I couldn't pass it up, I needed something that would not have me waking up in pain. So I dipped into my gas money for the week and got it. This mattress I brought home was not the same as the one I laid on. First off one side of the bed sinks way down you slide off when sitting on it, and the rest of the mattress is so hard. Firstly, let me begin by saying that this review will be about the mattress that I bought from Mattress Bob. Bob deserves a 5-star for his exceptional customer service. He is one of the nicest people I've met and helped me with my purchase. Unfortunately, the mattress that I bought from Bob did not meet expectations. In November 2016 (plus or minus 1 month), I bought a Memory Pedic twin sized mattress from Bob because 1) the reviews on his yelp page were amazing and 2) the one i tried at the showroom felt really comfortable. The twin sized version wasn't in stock at the time, so Bob put in an order from the warehouse he orders from and I came back a couple days later to pick up the bed. When I first brought it home, I noticed that there was a dip in the bed. At first, I thought it was my imagination, but after sleeping on it for about 2 days, I started to get back pains and decided to give Bob a call. Bob was very helpful and understanding and offered to replace it for me. About a week later, the new bed came in and I brought my first one in to exchange. Bob was great throughout this whole process. Upon trying it out at home, I could definitely tell that this newer one was fuller and felt much more comfy! Fast forward 4 months, I started to noticed that the memory foam was starting to flatten and dip like the first bed I got. I only use my bed for about 6-7 hours daily to sleep so I thought I could tough it out, but it's been really hard on my back. Sadly, I will be searching for a new bed... For a premium bed, I really hoped it would last me more than 6 months... but it looks like this is a recurring thing for this specific mattress (or maybe just for the twin size? i'm not sure...). I feel disappointed because most of the bed reviews on this page state that the beds that were bought were still great after 1-2 (or more) years. I got an organic pillow top queen mattress set that he was originally selling for $429 for $300(closeout sale) it is soooo comfy and I love it. His showroom is pretty basic 7-8 models and all sizes I went with one of his higher end models organic cotton memory foam pillow top cost me $320 for the set and a metal frame for $30! Now there is a recycling fee of $22 for the set (box and mattress) no tax though. CASH ONLY. He helped me load my mattress on my coupe g35 and off I went. Lollipops for everyone who comes by too! ***the only catch call him before going over the last couple times I went during his normal business hours (10-3) he wasn't there and I ended up driving up for nothing. By far one of the friendliest salesman ever. He did not pressure me into buying. In his own words "go ahead and try the mattresses out and take all the time you need. if the next one doesnt feel any better than the previous then dont pay more." he even ties the mattress on top of your car for you at no additional charge. thus, this is the perfect option for college kids because no truck or uhaul needed. a car will suffice. i personally transported my mattress in a 99 corolla. lastly, they are quality mattresses sold for cheap! win-win situation. he even gives you lollipops at the end. note: this is a cash only establishment. no cash in hand? no problem, there are plenty of banks & atms nearby. read more
