Bob is the THE MAN! Very helpful, honest, and overall a great guy! We got a great mattress for a fraction of the cost of the big stores and didn't have to deal with the nonsense of being hounded by some pushy dork trying to "convince us" to buy something. I've bought two mattresses from BOB. Both times comical and quick. He appreciated our time and humored us. I've loved our mattress the last three years. We bought our first mattress from Bob for the spare bedroom, it was a king and we bought the memory foam model. We had that a year or so and decided it we liked it better than our current mattress so we went back to Bob and bought another memory foam mattress. That was 4 or 5 years ago and so far so good, we both really like it. I weigh about 225 lbs. My wife is particular about mattresses but this is the best we've had. In the past we'd been to the standard mattress stores like Sleep Train and paid the big bucks but we really weren't satisfied. Mattress stores are a game. Mattress Bob simplifies it all.. No fancy salesmen working a commission, just a simple showroom with an honest sales policy. Yes, Bob is a nice guy, he's not hard sell, he's soft sell. But the main thing is that he sells a good mattress. read more

Great personality. Over years I purchase 4 mattress and always get great quality and cost

I should not be disappointed, I guess he did warn me. Came in there this weekend with my son to buy a mattress. Money is tight right now, so I only had about 200 to spare. I know, you get what you pay for, but it is literally all I had. After showing me the one for 180, I told him I was gonna have to pass, it was too firm. He told me to sit on the one that was 260, and I told him I could not afford it, but the mattress was super comfortable. But I again said I could not afford it, he told me he would give me a deal and not to tell anyone, 220 and it's mine. I couldn't pass it up, I needed something that would not have me waking up in pain. So I dipped into my gas money for the week and got it. This mattress I brought home was not the same as the one I laid on. First off one side of the bed sinks way down you slide off when sitting on it, and the rest of the mattress is so hard. So I contacted him, and have not received a response. Not even a I'm sorry we cannot help you. Nothing. See picture. read more

Bob is one of the nicest people you will every meet. His mattress prices are much lower than even Costco and the quality of his mattresses is incredible. When I was buying a mattress from Bob I asked who he knew that could help deliver. He gave a big smile and said 'pull your car around'. Bob tied the mattress to the roof with precision and I drove 10 miles home with no problem. The only issue I have is that I fear someday Bob will retire! read more

I needed a new mattress and checked out a bunch of places along Miramar road-- Mattress Firm, Mattress Pavilion, a murphy bed store, etc. I was waiting until memorial day for sales. I decided to check out Mattress Bob's place and 15-20 minutes later am driving away with a wonderful new memory foam mattress. Bob is a wonderful guy and the price was excellent! Thank you Bob!! read more

I waited 6 months before writing a review. Bob is a really nice guy, but he sells a bunch of shitty mattresses. We bought 2 different style mattresses from here and they both sucked after 3 months and just keep getting worse. Bottom line, you get exactly what you pay for. You're not getting a deal because he works out of a storage shed. You're getting it because the mattresses are shit, made with poor materials. read more

I've seen mattress Bob on the news as well as having him recommended by my friend. He has several storage units with mattress and even has a show room of the mattresses for you to not only see but feel. I belive there were 8 different kind. I scored big time! I got an organic pillow top queen mattress set that he was originally selling for $429 for $300(closeout sale) it is soooo comfy and I love it. He strapped it on the top of my jeep and I was ready to go. He also delivers I belive Ita between $50-$70. He CASH only. I would not buy mattresses anywhere else. Mine even came with a 12 year factor warranty. He's definitely the man! Don't spend money getting a new mattress at a fancy store like I did a while back and I don't even have it anymore and the one I got from mattress Bob 10x better. Looking for a mattress then come here! read more

He's been selling mattresses for 7 years out of the storage units and is just a great stand up guy! He's licensed and has all the permits to sell. Go see him of you want a great mattress at a great price!! I was looking for a cheap box spring and found him on Craigslist. Brand new vox spring at half the price compared to other furniture stores. Firstly, let me begin by saying that this review will be about the mattress that I bought from Mattress Bob. Bob deserves a 5-star for his exceptional customer service. He is one of the nicest people I've met and helped me with my purchase. Unfortunately, the mattress that I bought from Bob did not meet expectations. In November 2016 (plus or minus 1 month), I bought a Memory Pedic twin sized mattress from Bob because 1) the reviews on his yelp page were amazing and 2) the one i tried at the showroom felt really comfortable. The twin sized version wasn't in stock at the time, so Bob put in an order from the warehouse he orders from and I came back a couple days later to pick up the bed. When I first brought it home, I noticed that there was a dip in the bed. At first, I thought it was my imagination, but after sleeping on it for about 2 days, I started to get back pains and decided to give Bob a call. Bob was very helpful and understanding and offered to replace it for me. About a week later, the new bed came in and I brought my first one in to exchange. Bob was great throughout this whole process. Upon trying it out at home, I could definitely tell that this newer one was fuller and felt much more comfy! Fast forward 4 months, I started to noticed that the memory foam was starting to flatten and dip like the first bed I got. I only use my bed for about 6-7 hours daily to sleep so I thought I could tough it out, but it's been really hard on my back. Sadly, I will be searching for a new bed... For a premium bed, I really hoped it would last me more than 6 months... but it looks like this is a recurring thing for this specific mattress (or maybe just for the twin size? i'm not sure...). I feel disappointed because most of the bed reviews on this page state that the beds that were bought were still great after 1-2 (or more) years. Bob is a great man, but my bed experience from Mattress Bob was unsatisfactory. read more

Felt like I stole from him, it was that cheap. My brand new full size mattress and frame was $140 and he even tied it up to my little Toyota and gave me the confidence to deliver it myself knowing that I would be fine (I was worried haha). Wish I knew about him before, would have gotten every bed I own here. The place is not flashy (it's literally in a storage unit) and he only has 7-8 beds but he has them each at every size. read more

By far one of the friendliest salesman ever. He did not pressure me into buying. In his own words "go ahead and try the mattresses out and take all the time you need. if the next one doesnt feel any better than the previous then dont pay more." he even ties the mattress on top of your car for you at no additional charge. thus, this is the perfect option for college kids because no truck or uhaul needed. a car will suffice. i personally transported my mattress in a 99 corolla. lastly, they are quality mattresses sold for cheap! win-win situation. he even gives you lollipops at the end. note: this is a cash only establishment. no cash in hand? no problem, there are plenty of banks & atms nearby. read more

Quick Review: Good price and amazing service. If you have any doubts, ignore them because mattress bob reminds you what no BS shopping is. Mattress bob didn't try to sell us anything we didn't want, just answered our questions, showed us what he had, and let us make our own decision. Although it's a little unconventional you get the honest business vibe from him. The whole process probably took around 10 minutes. Definitely will recommend him from now on. read more

My wife had bought a twin mattress set from Bob for our daughter about six months ago. When it came time for a new larger bed, we went back to see Bob. This time we picked up a California king set and at great value. Bob was polite, very knowledgeable and did not put on the "full court press" like we've experienced at the local retail mattress stores in the past. He made sure the entire set was properly secured to our car, offered lollipops and was very appreciative for our business. Five stars for Bob and I recommend checking out his inventory. read more

Great, upfront pricing. Won't find a better deal. The mattresses are clean, comfortable, and a steal compared to other places. The cold water and lollipops were a nice touch after helping us tie our new California king on. read more
