Extremely expensive (more than Whole Foods), and they play sexually explicit songs on the sound system which is embarrassing and inappropriate especially with children around . Called to let the manager know and was told they get many complaints but the owner who controls the music doesn't care. Won't be shopping here anymore. read more

Cleanest supermarket on Long Island. If you read the 1 star reviews you would think this is not the same place they are reviewing. I'm not sure what their deal is but the reviews are not at all accurate. As you could see from my pics the store is immaculate, produce is fresh and neatly organized. The aisles are large and brightly light. Employees are pleasant and helpful. They have a great variety of cheeses by the deli counter. The deli counter always had fresh salads and other prepared dishes. Prices seem comparable to other big supermarkets. Conveniently located in the same shopping center as Vintage Wine, get your wine at Vintage and pick up some cheese at the Marketplace. read more

We sailed into Mattituck for a couple days and had a great time. The Marketplace was an exception. The staff were rude and unhelpful. They also charge 10 dollars for a bag of ice. Seemed a bit excessive. We will try to avoid this place next time we head into town. A real shame as the town itself is very nice. read more

Mattituck Marketplace claims that all beverages in plastic, can or glass, that they sell can be recyled there. NOT so. A big "Out of Order" sign on the glass recycling machine. At the customer service counter, I insisted that they take back my glass bottles bought there. She tried to tell me to come back, but after I insisted, she recluctantly gave me the 5 cents for each glass bottle and said "This is only for you since you were here". Also the filthly containers and the floor around the recyling area are disgusting. read more

Clean, organized, and great variety! Also, my aunt says that Bill the manager has been very very helpful to everybody during this extremely difficult time! Thank you! Furthermore, the one way aisle system is very clever and helps the shoppers to keep the social distance and feel safe. One suggestion! I think the place would be perfect if there where disinfecting wipes as you enter the store so the customers could use them to clean the shopping carts. read more

Pretty sure this was more expensive than Whole Foods. I used to shop here because they had a wide variety of high quality items. Now.... wow... I would say 70% of their produce was rotten and moldy.. 100% of their dill was moldy and when I asked the person stocking produce they didn't seem at all surprised and said that's all they had and I could take it or leave it... the butternut squash was moldy, the cauliflower was moldy, the arugula was yellow.. I found 1 pack that wasn't and then I got home and the center was slimy and the whole thing smelled spoiled.. I opened the romaine hearts pack I got and the leaves were wilted and brown.. the first few times I went here I purchased red onions... they "seemed fine" when I got home and cut them open, I lost half the onion because the core was rotten.. and I mean liquified mush... I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe I bruised it or just picked a bad one from the bunch but now after this trip and once again getting rotten onions... IM DONE...even something that should be cheap like progressive soup wasn't stocked and three times the price of the IGA and king kullen... never again... read more

First-rate grocery store. Good selection. Clean. And the deli department was just outstanding! They made me the best Italian sandwich I ever had! And selection of cheese and meats was very good. read more

How this store is still in operation is a mystery. Produce is rotten, meats are gross, dairy is expired or nearly so, and prices are extreme. The health dept should've closed this place down years ago. It is a monumental disservice to the community. Mattituck deserves so much better. read more

King Kullen is much better. The layout of this grocery store was very confusing / not well organized. Took me way too long to find the things I needed. Staff had a hard time pointing me in the right direction for some of my items. Some things that would be typical at a normal grocery store were nowhere to be found. read more

Still has an aweful produce department. Maybe left in back refrigerator too long. Things are squishy, moldy and expensive. The cashiers are friendly and hard working. The deli department is good. It is annoying to have to drive out of town to buy good produce. Luckily it is farm stand season. read more

No longer going to this grocery store. Only reason we even went was because it is closest to where I live. The staff they have work the registers are some of the most depressed and rude people I've come across. Mind you, I am referring to the older employees at those registers. The younger ones are generally nice. That doesn't help the anxiety I feel having to wait in line for one of these unfriendly, grumpy people. Just today, when my mother and I were paying with our debit card, the machine wasn't prompting us to put in a PIN, so instead of restarting the machine this lady has the nerve to say, "Your mother has no idea what she's doing". I'm so tired of shopping here. So ultimately, go the next town over to King Kullen, or drive into Riverhead for Target or Stop & Shop. read more

I usually go here and have no complaints with the employees but today I went here and it was different. One cashier named Caitlin was terribly rude to me for no reason. She had a very nasty attitude and she slammed the change so hard in my hand it made a mark. I was in shock. I'm a local, come here all the time and it makes me not want to return. read more

Outrageously expensive and when asked to return $13 chorizo after the realizing how overpriced it was they said no because of Covid-19 l. It was no longer their policy even though I had barely left the store. Manager was very nice but should have been more accommodating but really they shouldn't be price gauging like that. By far the worst local grocery store. The produce is never fresh, I often find potatoes or garlic with sprouts or mold growing, and everything else is bruised or wilted. Their refrigerated section is also often past expiry date. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to buy milk or yogurt and had to put it back because it expired over a week ago. The girl who works at the deli counter always, without fail, gives me way more than I ask for (2lbs when I asked for one, etc). The "fresh" rolls are hard as rocks and have flies all over them. And to top it all off, this store is insanely overpriced. It's unfortunate that we have no better options in Mattituck, but it is seriously worth the drive to Riverhead to avoid this place. read more

Today at Mattituck Marketplace, is one of the reasons I dont come here often. I had a few groceries, some cheese, broccoli and canned dog food. I checked out with a cashier named Caitlin and what a huge mistake that was. She was very very nasty to me and rude. Everyone in the store is always very nice and she is just a sour apple in the bunch and that spoiled it for me. I will never go back to her register. BEWARE of the chicken wings. They're not cooked through. I asked the deli if they made them and they said they get them from outside. Well I'm sure there are probably directions from whoever they buy them from that they are partially cooked and need to be heated or cooked more. I brought home their version of Buffalo Wings and the skin was raw and it was pink inside. Had to cook them. When I complained to the deli people all faces went blank. Not a clue! Someone is eventually getting sick from their wings. Prices are very, very high. If something doesn't have a price on it make sure you scan it first. The price will shock you and that is why they don't price label it. Only buy what's on sale if you choose to keep going there. Their sales generally are pretty good but make sure it's something you've bought before so you know what you're getting. The produce is way overpriced so be picky on what you buy but the figs are better than most stores and properly priced. Don't buy the cubed watermelon. It's December. There is no fresh watermelon now and what they have is completely flavorless from wherever they're getting it. Bottom line: way overpriced, beware of deli, always price scan. read more

Mattituck Marketplace is not worth the trip. Everything is very expensive! Their produce section, although convenient is not fresh. The items looks stale like it's been sitting out all day. The customer service is beyond horrible. Today the cashier was extremely rude, and I could tell that he did not want to help me at all. He tried to send me to the the next register, which was closed and when I came back to his line I could see that he was visibly annoyed. As he was scanning my items he was very aggressive and shoved them towards me with no regards of the possibility that he could be damaging some of my more sensitive items, there is no need to fling them at me. The store employees are all lovely, the issue here is with management. I spoke to the manager about asking if a product was in stock and the manager went off on me saying 'if it ain't there we ain't got it' he was so rude and I was never treated so bad. Went there yesterday to buy Italian bread. As I was walking to the counter I notice a large "Cooked Roach" through the plastic window. I walk right up to the counter, tell the lovely women with blonde hair in the managers office and she says "YOU SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THIS TO GROCERY! Like I want to walk around the store with a dead roach on a loaf of bread. What happened to Customer Service? read more
