At the end of our first meeting she scheduled a follow up appointment with me, three weeks out, KNOWING she was going on vacation. Never was notified, and I was told the day of the "appointment" that she's on vacation. Extremely unprofessional. 3. Because she's my prescribing doctor, and left for said vacation, it was up to me source out another doctor in the clinic capable of prescribing my meds. It's almost like she just suddenly leaves, and expects her clients to just "figure it out" 4. When asked if I can change to another doctor, because of her complete incompetentcy, I was told she's the only one available. This place started out absolutely amazing, and took a SEVERE turn. She mailed out a letter that she would be increasing her rates and proudly boasted about it in her letter. In order to have my disability form filled out for an extension she charged me an additional $25 fee (I've never had any other doctor do this). She is definitely money hungry. Dr. Bunger spends most of your appointment typing the information you say into her computer with minimal or no eye contact. However, her note taking appears to be ineffective as she has trouble remembering things in future appointments. Her inability to actually keep notes resulted in me receiving delayed disability income. This further resulted in me having an episode and getting terminated as a patient. I am not surprised with most of her Yelp reviews. If I could give her negative stars I would. She really screwed up my recovery.

The purpose of this interview was to help Dr Burkey decide if she would take me on as a patient. It was very much as if I was an applicant for a job, and Dr Burkey had her Human Resource personnel interview me. For this, I was billed $257. As you might be thinking yourself, my health insurance doesn't pay for bullsh*t charges. Although I've never laid eyes on or spoken to Dr Burkey, she saw fit to turn the $257 interview fee over to collections. Hindsight tells me I am better off having flunked the interview. The secret and egregious interview fee makes me doubt that this doctor would be compassionate or honest.
