Well, I went here for detox only. I was unhappy so I went somewhere else for residential. First, let me say that every other client I spoke to was happy here... Why wasn't I? They pushed me into groups when I was still detoxing, the food was awful and you had to buy your own snacks, they messed with my meds... Also, they were very strict about phones. Overly so....food was awful. Like I said, everyone I talked to here was happy here...,but I elected to go to residential at Bayside Marin and I'm much happier here. I didn't stay long enough to get a true impression of their program but if they had not messed with my medication, had halfway decent food, snacks and coffee, and had a more sensible phone policy I might have stayed. Have met two other people here at Bayside who literally hated Align.....YMMV read more

I highly recommend Align Recovery Center if you are looking for a great alcohol and drug program. The owners Michael and Stella are two of the most compassionate and selfless people I have met. I came into this program at my rock bottom. My family found Align and I was honestly scared to even consider detox let alone a 30 day program. As soon as I entered the doors they welcomed me with open arms. The staff which consist of nurses and counselors are comforting and just genuinely want you to get better. I was honestly so scared to commit but I'm so glad I did. Stella is a wonderful cook and she cooks with her heart. The rooms are spacious and the whole build is top notch clean. We had about 5 groups a day and I learned so much about my recovery. I came out feeling stronger than ever. I don't recommend. 2 stars. This place has great staff. On other hand the owner is a Dutchbag. He has a split personality. He will talk to you very nice and soft spoken and sound sincere in the beginning. Then if one thing isn't followed or correct he literally switches from 0-100 and say get out then. His name is Micheal. This guy is your typical all I care about is money and sounding loving to get you in the door or when he talks to who ever is helping you get in this place. His wife is the cook, a very nice women. The meeting are way to much and not very helpful unless you like to be in multiple meetings a day just to say how you your mood is and sit there and Liston to everyone else tell you there mood. You have 6 meetings a day from 9 am to 8 pm. It's way too much and most of them are pointless. The food is not what you see on research. Everything they do food wise is super cheap. They water down the sour cream which is unreal, another example of how cheap they are when it comes to food . A small size cheese quesadilla for lunch is absolutely terrible as well. When the serve chicken it's one piece or half a portion of what you would like. All the meat is water downed and they don't serve protein. Chicken is on e a week if it's twise the portion is so small you're not really getting any chicken. It's a high carb meal every meal. For breakfast you get one egg that is always overcooked and dry. Nearly every meal is a struggle to eat as I had diarrhea for 7-8 days straight and was forced to eat canned tuna every day. This place is not what is advertised when you research it. I will say again the staff is awsome with support and very kind. But the meetings are terrible and useful for most people. They only allow you to order 6 items from Safeway a week and you can't get enough to eat well. I dont recommend this place as you can find better. It wasn't for me I was miserable here and couldn't make it past 15 days. It was a nightmare to go to meeting from wake up to bed and expect to be in a good mood every day. Look somewhere else if you want better food and better structure. Too many meetings that are just a repeat everyday, that are totally useless, at least 80 percent of them are useless. If you miss one or two meetings throughout your stay. You will be not asked to leave. You will be told to leave. After years of struggling with addiction, I hit rock bottom and decided I needed to go to a recovery center. I called multiple facilities and they all felt like they only cared about taking my money and filling a bed. When I called Align Recovery Centers, Michael made me feel like a person and not just an addict. I felt like he genuinely cared about my well being I stayed at Align for about 5 weeks and by the end of it I didn't want to leave. At Align, I was able to enjoy living life again. I got my life and health back on track and was able to find myself outside of my addiction and substance abuse. All the meals are prepared with love by Michael's wife Stella. Todd, the director and in house therapist was amazing and thanks to him I was able to make extreme progress in my mental health and coping skills. He even checked in with my family and I for a few weeks after I left. I am now almost 10 months sober and I credit every bit of it to Align and their staff. almost everything about this place screams recovery. there are many staff who are very pleasant and made my time there worth while but the big elephant in the program is actually the owner michael ohayon who continuously harassed me while i was going through opiate and alcohol withdrawal going as far as to threaten my stay there over having some clothes on my floor, and further more encouraged me to sign myself out against medical advice be i was irritated when he told my girlfriend and i that we couldn't touch each other. He even went so far as to yell at my girlfriend when she was simply helping me pack my belongings which i did not lash out for at the time as it just made me see his immense immaturity even further. In my opinion he is a childish man who lets his ego get in the way of his clients to be successful. this is also the opinion of others in the program ive spoken with staff and clients included. Michael ohayon single handedly pushed me out of the program with his egotistical attitude of thinking he is above others. he blatantly disrespects people with no remorse or accountability for his actions and if it was up to me he should not be in charge of a place with people who are mentally unstable and are trying to improve in any world. read more

I recently completed a 30-day residential rehab at Align, which has had an incredibly positive impact on my life. I entered following my latest relapse and left, for the first time ever, with an understanding of my addiction, my triggers, and importantly, coping mechanisms tailored to me that I can use as part of my recovery. The counselors are caring and provide group instruction in an engaging manner, creating a culture of sharing, openness, and learning. Individual assessment and recovery plans are developed in concert with case managers. And, the nursing and medical team are knowledgeable, friendly, and super supportive. I appreciated that the group instruction and individual sessions were broken up with time for outside recovery groups (off-campus AA mtgs and/or online alternatives - LifeRing, SmartRecovery, Dharma, etc.; weekly on-site H&I (AA) meetings), weekly walks for ice cream, and bonding activities (trivia, music, evening games among residents, etc.). While Align resides in a large building that is over 100 years old, and therefore feels a bit dated initially, it is ideally suited for a recovery facility, is very clean (kitchen, hallways, bathrooms, etc. cleaned several times a day), and the food is hearty and delicious. During my time at Align, I saw numerous instances of the owners, Michael and Stella, going above and beyond to help out residents with their specific family or personal issues, even if they involved matters outside of individual recovery plans. They and the entire team at Align are very caring people, showing compassion that many of my fellow residents said was not present at other facilities they had been at previously. Without Align, I wouldn't be sober today nor have, for the first time ever, optimism in my ability to remain sober for the rest of my life. Thank you, Align. read more

My son recently graduated from his 30 day rehab program at Align Recovery Centers, and has been given a path to a new way of life. Michael Ohayon and Dana Hamilton were fabulous. (as were all the staff) They made him feel valued and helped him cope with a stressful situation. The individual and group therapy was invaluable. The cost for 30 days at Align was very reasonable compared to several other recovery centers in the county and neighboring counties. The facility is beautiful, clean and warm. My son said the food was excellent. The grounds are lovely. Align also helped my son find a local Sober Living home and he was able to transition directly after he left Align. Align saved my family, marriage, and my life!!! Michael & Stella run a magical place with a top tier staff. I came in hopeless, worthless, and surrendered. In 30 days I left a different person. I received individual care as they believe one treatment type does not fit everyone. Case workers, therapist, RN nurses, and an amazing doctor will be there for you every step of the way. You will be welcomed and taken care of with compassion as soon as you walk in the doors. Amazing food, exeecise, comfy rooms and beds, and Savannah (dog) to play with will help with your recovery. My success is also due to the bond I built with the other residents. We poured our souls and fears to each other. We supported everyone and still connect daily via group chat. I am sober, my marriage is the strongest it has ever been, I have self worth and happiness, my daughter & I reconcilled (due to help from my counselor Lizzette!), and I have 13 new friends that I know will be there for me. Very proud to say we stayed here and although we were just discharged Sept 1st. I must admit this place changed our lives for the better! I recommend Align for many different reasons but number one reason is because they believed in us! Us as a married couple doing inpatient together! We were desperately trying to find a place that would accept us as a union. Every single place denied us based on old evidence that it's impossible to recover programming together. Michael and Dana welcomed us with open arms! They hadn't given us the green light right when we called, they did tell us they had to run it by the house and call us back. They did exactly as they told us they would, they called us back and accepted us and told us they were going to give it a shot and we were the first couple they ever let do inpatient. For them to be willing to take a gamble on us and allow us to program together was definitely what we needed! Here we are with 65 days under our belt and we give it all to the beautiful staff here! Even the housekeepers were so sweet and welcoming! Every employee does their job with pride and a smile! The counselor's; Jeremy, Lucy, Lizette and a week before discharge Tim came on board not to mention the top notch director who was our therapist; Dana was the dopest therapist I have met! Way down to earth and so hip with the lingo we speak! I loved every single one of them! Even the owner gets his hands dirty and engages with the clients and always offers hospitality and support! He knows us all by name and has a wonderful wife Stella who runs the kitchen! The meals are fabulous! And they always had plenty to feed us! The rooms are nicely furnished with comfortable beds! The medical staff was the bomb as well! Especially Felipe, Griselda, Dominic and Juan! The entire staff was so friendly and really cared about us as people! The group therapy was great! From yoga to DBT all the classes were informative and the meetings in sonoma are so unique! We wanted to stay another 30 days but insurance only approved our extensions every 7 days and that was the worst part, waiting to see what was to come in 7 days?! That in itself was stressful! If we were approved for a whole other 30 days, we definitely would have stayed! I really miss them all and the other residents we bonded with! I strongly suggest you give them a try, when you first get there it's uncomfortable because you are coming down and it's the worst and completely normal to want to leave and go home, we suggest you stick it out 14 days minimum before making a decision to go home! If you are serious about a new better life......stick it out! If anyone gave poor reviews, I highly doubt they were serious about recovery! Align is the shit! I carry their flyers with us every where we go and that's because I believe that is the best place to do any treatment! Thank You all! Would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to better their life and get help for their addiction. It's not your typical recovery place. They are more like family helping family. They don't preach to you thru the aa or na books, but give you the needed tools for recovery. It's one on one with multiple amazing councilors, and the 3 meals a day are amazing. After staying for 30 days I still drive 3 hrs to visit and get refreshed as to why I stayed here ( and still get fed by an amazing lady, aka Mom) even after my stay I get treated like family when I visit. Align recovery is hands down the best place to get sober! I had an amazing experience here. The owners and staff are such sweet accommodating people and will make your needs a priority. Not to mention the food is phenomenal. The staff here truly bring a certain energy and enthusiasm to the facility that feels extremely encouraging and really helps with the whole getting sober experience. Another thing i deeply appreciated was their diverse approach to sobriety and flexibility in programming, they are not dead set on AA or any one type of recovery approach. The facility is also beautiful and feels very homey. I spent 30 days here and they did a really great job on working with insurance to ensure everything would be taken care of. The people here really know what they're doing, and it's clear that they truly care and aren't just in it for the money, unlike many other facilities. I found my sobriety here and made treasured connections that I will keep for a very long time. This place truly gave me the start to a whole new life and I am now 3 months sober! I know treatment centers. I've been to a few and always failed to stay clean for long. It's kind of funny that Align is located in the wine country but what I found there is no joke. They're a damn unicorn of recovery. There could not have been more support. There were only six of us, all different drugs and ages and we were tight. One clinical therapist dived into allll the issues around my completely abusive upbringing. Felt like I was eviscerated and sewn back up. A female counselor taught me to have self respect, even unbelievably, self love. A male counselor showed me all the recovery programs available instead of shoving AA down my throat. Another male counselor taught me the value of mindfulness and meditation. Even a new trainee showed me I could laugh and have fun without drugs and alcohol. The clinical director interacted with us every day and led the weekend family program. Michael who runs things always invited us to drop in for a talk or to pet his dog. Everyone is different but I wasn't there for a vacation. I wanted to die but was too afraid to kill myself. I needed help. I ate what was put in front of me and most times it was good and Stella always cooks with love. I still miss that woman. And by the way, you keep your phone all day, every day. This is not a corporate owned institution. Now, 90 days later, my life is beautiful and full of joy. I go to the gym, play saxophone, write again professionally and take real care of my family. And darn if I didn't end up with the very best bunch of supportive, spiritual, loving people at an AA meeting that we occasionally went to nearby. I drive half an hour every day now to attend that meeting and it's a real live blessing. Give them a call and may you find what I did. read more

A great place to recover. I have a friend who went to Align Recovery. He had difficulty getting clean and sober as well as being g a nice person. When he completed treatment he was different. He appeared to be healthier( he said the food was great) he was calm( they had a big spacious back yard that he was able to relax in) and they had a dog( Savannah) who he believes liked him the best. This was an amazing facility, I personally think the whole process went smooth and helped kick start my recovery. I was comfortable, the food and staff were over the top. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I was here for 60 days and the time never seemed like it was going slow due to the schedule provided by the facility. The staff was very hands on and i developed a connection with each and every one of them. Communication between myself and staff was fluid and i felt like i was always being heard. The facility and staff were also very accommodating to the fact that myself as client had an outside life that needed to be addressed and made time for. (Ie time for DUI classes). The program was a great mix of therapeutic services as well as a "family culture" type atmosphere. The food provided by Stella was excellent and i never went close to hungry. The therapy services provided by Elvis were spot on and really were vital to my recovery. The services provided by Dr. Alex were amazing and i learned a lot about my addiction and what i need to do to manage it and eventually overcome it from him. The nursing staff was excellent and the housekeeping staff kept the facility clean and provided needed support that made the experience easier. The off site excursions (Whacky Wednesdays) were amazing and always provided a ton of fun in the middle of the week. I have been to other programs and Align is head and shoulders above. All and all it was a great experience and i would highly recommend Align to anyone who is looking towards a recovery program. read more

Our son (26) spent a month at Align and it was a great program. He was well cared for and the staff was compassionate and responsive to our inquiries as his parents and his needs. He looked forward to many of the group sessions and outings. We really appreciated that he had (limited) daily phone use and visiting hours on Sunday. I think the only let down was when occasionally their daily schedule listed certain activities or groups and for reasons unknown to him, they did not happen. Align is by far one of the best recovery centers in California. The staff is compassionate, caring, professional, engaging, and knowledgeable. From the moment they answered our phone call, to the moment they welcomed us in their doors they went above and beyond our expectations. They provide tender loving care, with tough love and are very patient. They are always available 24/7 to answer any questions and provide direction to family members of the loved one in crisis. They helped my loved one who was addicted to Fentanyl get through the worst part of their life and they are thriving today. Their staff is incredibly non-judgmental, and empathetic. I was sold a bill of goods. I was told that the meals were prepared daily and that they would be well balanced, nutritional and healthy. They were anything but. Yes, they were made daily, a typical breakfast consisted of left over tater tots from the previous night, lunch was a a thin slice of ham, wilted lettuce and Velveeta Cheese on a hard crusted hoagie roll, fruit cocktail ( yes fruit cocktail from the can) and dinner was always brown. There was some sort of brown meat stew served with under cooked orzo and a very wilted salad drenched in bottled salad dressing. Thank goodness there was a local farm stand where I was able to get yogurt and fresh fruit. I must say that the staff was very nice and very dedicated. However, management definitely played favorites which was incredibly obvious. All in all, I did take away a lot and made some new friends along the way. read more

Align Recovery Center is AMAZING! I would like to give 6 out of 5 ! This place saved my life. The facility is beautiful, newly updated, super clean and organized. The clinical and executive staff are some if the most caring individuals I've ever met. They truly care about people and are very much invested in helping folks achieve recovery. They have knowledgeable clinical staff who are down to earth and Michael the executive director is so helpful and caring, which made it so easy and less scary to get started on the road to recovery. Stella is in the kitchen making healthy, thoughtfully arranged menus that can't be beat! So good!!! There's process groups, art therapy, clinical therapy, a pool table, gym, and a fire pit! They are doing outpatient aftercare as well, which is great. They were integral in getting me hooked up with an SLE after discharge, which I wasn't planning on, but am SO HAPPY I did. I love this place, it's definitely the place to go if you want to get sober, so if you're ready or have a loved one that is, THIS IS THE PLACE!! read more
