Added all the extra for simply making money . Wash & cut & blow dry was for 22 & she said she would take £10 extra for long hair . When my hair is slightly below shoulder. Spoke to groupon that I want a refund & they said it was redeemed . Explained groupon but they forwarded it to the resolution team. i have never come across a pathetic service like this.. I would seriously warn people going to this place . Read reviews on later & a lot of people have felt & treating like this . It's an empty place & hardly people of oxford used voucher of this place so a lot speaks for them .

Sirene's is one of the cheapest hairdressers I've found yet in Oxford. This still isn't cheap cheap…read morelike some towns, but it does student discounts and is generally more straightforward than some of the better known salons in town. As a guideline, here are the prices for a normal cut: Ladies' cut and blow dry: £37 (£22 for students and senior citizens) Men cut and blow dry: £23 (£18 for concessions) It's pretty good for children too: Teenagers: £20-£25 Children under 12: £10-£15 The ladies are friendly and all look gorgeous (although they all seem to have the same hair style), and the whole experience is over nice and quickly, which I like as I've never been one for seeing a hair cut as a particularly luxurious experience. For those after a little more luxury, they also have a massage service. As far as I know, they don't do tanning treatments or hair removal.

Anne Veck is the best hair salon in Oxford…read more Reasons why? Well for starters, I literally laughed the whole way through my 3 hour appointment. Maria is hilarious and full of energy--with a little bit of Portuguese sass thrown in there too. She yelled at me like a mother hen telling me not to move, or touch or anything... I genuinely LOVED every moment of it. I was in for a whole head of blonde highlights. White not gold. Maria picked up on this immediately and called me Miss California the entire appointment through. "I know how you California girls like your blonde highlights, I watch Melrose Place." Amazing, hilarious and oh so very true. The end result was gorgeous. The perfect "white" blonde, blended expertly and done as close to the scalp as one can get. Honestly, it's the best colour job I've had in quite some time. I'm so happy with it. Need more good news? The prices are reasonable. Not super cheap not super expensive-- perfect middle of the road prices. They offer student discounts on the weekdays 20%! Also, I was served a delicious glass of white wine and treated to a damn good head massage. I've spent almost a year here in Oxford trying to find a place like Anne Veck... wished I had found them a lot sooner! Highly recommended!

Result was precisely the smooth 'do I desired, and I committed to come back next time I was in Oxford. Sadly, E has moved on, but not only was I able to book an appt next day on a tight schedule, my new hairdresser[Lucy, also French!] remembered what Emmanuel had done and seemed very comfortable throughout. Enjoy the tea tray served up through your styling, lean back into the massage chair during hair washing and emerge looking chic.

I had a terrible men's haircut there today in Oxford just two days before my sister's wedding and…read morepaid 48 pounds for it. I asked for the sides only to be cut with scissors numerous times and the first thing the hair dresser does is using a size 2 clipper on the sides! I look like a walking paint brush! Honestly! I could have got a clipper haircut like that anywhere for ten pounds and it would have looked much better! To other guys out there who care about your hair (I suppose you do if you are willing to pay 48 pounds for a hair cut) I strongly encourage you a AVOID this place! They can only use clippers and it looks terrible!

Blonde Highlights - waste of time, don't bother!…read more I visited Electric Hairdressers as i was hoping to go from mousey brown hair to blonde. I have had blonde hair a number of times and its always been fine. During my consultation i was told that it would take two appointments to get my hair to the level of blonde that i wanted, and that i would have to have the colour stripped. Fair enough i thought, it was a dull brown colour and i know these things take time. 1st Appointment: Hair was noticeably lighter, although it was a strange orangish colour. Charles (my hairdresser) decided to put individual highlights through the t section of my hair and do a 'dip-dyed' effect underneath (brown roots, lighter ends). It meant that i couldn't tie my hair up and it looked a bit of a mess to be honest. But i thought it would be worth it in the end. 2nd Appointment: I was assured that it would be 'really blonde' after this appointment, and Charles did a full head of highlights..and it was the same colour as before, when he finished after he put a weird reddish toner on it. It looked strange. £190 down (after student discount) and my hair was no where near blonde. I politely said i wasn't happy, but Charles just went onto his next client and did not even say good bye to me as i left the salon. To add insult to injury, when i went back to my hairdressers in my home town, they found it very difficult to strip the weird red toner out, and after 2 sets of light highlights (no low lights) the ends of my hair are still reddish tinged.
