An absolute abomination!
If negative stars were an option I would give it. Do not waste your money or time going to this salon, the service and staff are vile and clearly never heard of customer service.
My sister came to get acrylic nails yesterday, whilst doing so they cut her skin on almost every nail, the extensions are wonky and the paint is chipped and smudged! When the bleeding started they dipped some gel or ointment on them to help, then placed the bloody lotion tip back in the bottle; disgusting if they intend to use this again on other customers and how can we be sure it wasn't infected by someone else.
After 24 hours of pain and discomfort and the realisation that £30 was spent to butcher her fingers, my sister and I decided to go back and complain, with the aim of a refund or some kind of compensation, that she totally deserved.
My sister fully intended to handle the situation herself, but as a shy hearted girl, when the manager tried to send her away saying there was absolutely no fault and she would not be refunded, I decided to step in, as they were clearly trying to get the best of her. Indeed, I got a tad argumentative, but nothing compared to what was said by management and was completely justifiable due to the situation and state of the nails.
The manager attempted to tell us they were just "over cleaned" and in fact will benefit her as they'll last longer - they already looked like 4 weeks old, regardless of the cuts and inflammation the nails were poorly painted. After arguing some about whether in fact they were infected, the manager straight out refused to speak to me, as it was not my issue. I fully have the right to speak on her behalf, and my sister is definitely my issue, they clearly saw me as a problem as I was not okay with walking away without any kind of compensation or at least apology.
They became very hostile very quickly, much before I did. The manager, brought over another lady to handle the situation, who before allowing us to explain, which would have been done civilly and respectably, she told me to watch myself as I was "talking to adults". I'm in fact an adult myself, her clear lack of respect for us as we looked young, is rude in itself. She told me to be quite and listen to her, which I happily did, she too began to tell us they weren't infected because they weren't yellow (yet). Regardless of whether they were on not, they wouldn't even acknowledge they were poorly done and not worth £30 paid, they were not up to standard. The staff continued to yell at us for not being satisfied with their 'professional' opinion and asked us to get off their property. Apparently expecting standard customer service, is rude and completely uncalled for. As the "adults" in the situation, they handle the issue laughably; how can one complain about customer frustration, when they were treated with hostility from the get-go, anger is an inevitable human response.
Customer service is all about, service with a smile and 2 fingers behind your back, it is not hard to give, they did not even apologise for the poor service they provided. They did utter to me something along the lines that I have no understanding on what is good customer service when I questioned theirs; I have a first-class honours degree in hospitality, an industry primarily based on providing customer service, I feel I am very qualified to make a judgement on quality of services; they did not possess it.
The whole thing could have easily been resolved by offering a refund or compensation on future treatments and at least an apology. Any other salon would have offered to fix this issue with no question.
Again, if my stupidly long complaint doesn't express this, I urge you never to step foot in this establishment. They are beyond appalling and once the initial anger, annoyance or embarrassment the staff may feel from this ordeal wears, I hope they are ashamed of their disgusting attitudes.
My sister will be seeking medical attention if the pain and wounds worsen in the next 24hrs. read more
