I went here for the first time a few months ago. I was a bit worried at first because i have been going to the same lady to get my hair cut for years, so felt a bit bad about changing. I had some vouchers for my birthday so i had to go. They were all very friendly and professional and very helpful when i went in unsure what i wanted. The lady who cut my hair did a fantastic job and i was very pleased with the result. I will definetely be going back there, i agree that they are expensive but you pay for what you get. They do offer a range of different stylist at different costs so it doesn't have to be too expensive. read more

Don't use the booking tool!!!! I should start out by saying I have been here twice before and felt the hair cut and colours I had were both excellent, and the staff were friendly and professional. However I've just come back from an attempted third visit. I booked this appointment a couple of days ago, for a full head foils and design cut and finish (DCF). I picked whoever the tool said was available, at 7pm. The tool let me do this and sent me through an confirmation email. Imagine my surprise when I arrived this evening to be told that my appointment was cancelled as there wasn't long enough to perform the work! I was immediately told they had been calling me all day, and I actually felt guilty for being at work all day and unable to listen to my voicemails due to rushing straight there from work. There was no apology for waiting until today to let me know, which was (clearly) too late as I was too busy to get the message. There was no apology for the fact that their booking tool had let me book something that apparently cannot be done. All in all, when you successfully get an appointment they are pretty good. UPDATED FEB 2013: I was recommended Segais (albeit their Didcot branch). I have been here about four times. On the first occasion, the reception was very helpful who fully explained their pricing structure which meant I got the option of choosing a cheaper less experienced person or conversely a more experienced and more expensive stylist. I went for someone in the middle which cost about £35 for a cut and finish. I was pleased with the result as I like a stylist to suggest ideas for me which they did. It was my first visit so I got 50% off, plus I'd booked an appointment on a Weds so got a further 10% off excellent deal. (Mon-Weds 10% off). I went back to this stylist again on a second occasion and was pleasantly surprised to be offered a glass of wine as an alternative to tea. On my third visit I found out my previous stylist had left so I had someone else for a cut and finish. This stylist again was friendly and offered suggestions. On my fourth visit though I was left disappointed. I went in for highlights. I was kept waiting for half an hour and wasn't given any apology. It was so bussling that it wasn't very relaxing and the stylist kept getting distracted by other customers by having conversations with them instead of focussing on me, it took much longer that normal to put my highlight foils in and the highlights didn't go very close to the roots at all. After having three good cuts, I was disappointed after my fourth visit. Unfortunately, one bad experience taints a place for me. read more
