Booking the Wedding Day Dog Attendant service through Happy Bark & Tails for my 11-month-old puppy…read morewas one of the best decisions I ever made. My now-husband and I were in the midst of planning our wedding when we decided to adopt our beautiful puppy, Oreo, and we wanted to ensure that he could be a part of our wedding. Thank goodness we found Happy Bark & Tails. From our first meeting, the owner, Madeline, was informative, and caring, gave us a clear idea of what to expect on our wedding day, and took the time to answer all our questions. Every step of the way, Madeline was patient, responsive, and put us at ease. We even scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before the wedding with Madeline and her husband, Gabriel, who is also a co-owner of the business. We were certain that they would not only care for Oreo but treat him like their own baby. On the day of our wedding, Madeline and Gabriel arrived at our hotel and immediately took care of Oreo. They put on his cute "best dog" scarf and bow tie and handled him while my husband and I got ready for our wedding. They walked him, fed him, played with him, helped him pose for pictures with us, and treated Oreo like family. They transported him to the venue, took him back to our hotel, and stayed with him until we got back. We couldn't have asked for a better company or people to work with! They also documented our wedding day with photos from Oreo's perspective. The gallery of photos was beautiful and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Happy Bark & Tails for all your wedding pet care needs. They were great to work with and we have already recommended them to another couple!

Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are for how wonderful Madeline/Happy Bark & Tails…read morewere on our wedding day. It was so important to us that our two pups be included on our big day, and Madeline made sure they were both included and so lovingly cared for. One of our pups is 15 years old and as anxious, adoring pawrents we were worried about her ability to navigate our wedding venue and the excitement of the day. Those worries quickly dissipated because Madeline cared for both our pups as if they were her own, and we effusively recommend Happy Bark & Tails to anyone who loves their pup and can't imagine their wedding day without them.

We didn't have to worry, though, because Zoe and Brenda were great! Zoe sent pictures and updates every time she visited, and left a log letting us know when she came and which meds she administered. There was bad weather when we were traveling home, and Brenda checked in with us to make sure our cats were cared for if we were delayed. Overall this was a great experience. We highly recommend Beg n Bark and will use them any time we leave town!

The second option was the place on 1 which coats our dog in blue goo that requires 5-7 baths to remove (think toilet bowl cleaner). Jim found this place online. Upon drop off, they greet your dog, make sure she's happy. There's an option for walks in the mountains, which our dog loves. I think it's $25/day, $7/per walk in the woods. Our dog comes back smelling no worse for wear, which is shocking, as we have a crazy, anxious dog who drools if we ever try crating her at home, and subsequently smells and needs a bath (hence, we don't do it often)--here, she doesn't actually smell. At all. Note that your cell phone will not work up on Sourland Mountain, and your GPS will be slightly off--it's kind of at the top of the hill on the left side.

My boyfriend and I have been bringing our pets to Kayla's Pretty Paw for over a year and a half, so…read moreI am extremely disappointed by the way we have been treated simply because we had to cancel two appointments within a couple of months. I understand that this is a business and that cancellations can be inconvenient. However, people have lives, responsibilities, and unexpected circumstances that sometimes arise. Having to cancel twice was not something we did to be disrespectful of your time, and I do not believe it warranted the rude and unprofessional text message we received. We have been loyal customers for over a year and a half. We have paid for your services and have also given generous tips because we appreciated the work you did. For that reason, the attitude and hostility directed toward us were especially disappointing and completely unnecessary. If you no longer wish to provide services to us, that is your decision. However, there is a professional and respectful way to communicate that decision. Sending a nasty message to longtime customers and essentially telling them not to return is not an appropriate way to conduct business. Customer service matters, and so does the way you treat people, especially those who have supported your business for an extended period of time. Unfortunately, this experience has changed our opinion of Kayla's Pretty Paw. I have also spoken with two other people who have used your services, and after hearing about this situation, they have decided not to return either. As a result, you have lost not just two longtime customers, but potentially four. It is unfortunate that a relationship with loyal customers had to end this way over two cancellations. A little understanding, courtesy, and professionalism would have gone a long way. Shame on you for handling the situation this way.

Let me start off by saying that I do not have enough words to show my gratitude and appreciation…read morefor Chantal Cartier. A friend had recommended her name when I was struggling as a first time dog owner with a rescued adult dog who was showing human aggression and severe case of separation anxiety. When the shelter/rescue group/foster was giving me no support, Chantal was like a guardian angel. She spent endless amount of time with me on phone sharing her experience, knowledge and insight. Her calming and soothing voice was a blessing when I was feeling at my wit's end. She was available via texts even on weekends and late evenings, no matter how serious or silly my question was. She had given me vets and therapists names to consult and books to read all of which helped me moving from one day to another deciding on my next step. Unfortunately I had to end up surrendering the dog. But I wholeheartedly recommend Chantal to anyone. Her kindness and professionalism amazed me.

I am a pretty new customer to Heavenly Hounds, really impressed with the facility and the trainers…read more I have brand new German Shepherd puppy and I wanted to make sure his first year at home is filled with (good)socialization and training. I did some research and found all the amazing reviews for Heavenly Hounds, so I decided to sign up for their puppy social and puppy Kindergarten class. Stephanie is our instructor and she is awesome, always giving advice and willing to answer all my numerous questions. My puppy is learning and I am learning with him as well. Puppy Social is great as well, it's not a dog free for all. The dogs are split up by size and temperament, this is great for dogs who might be very shy or even extremely outgoing. The trainers watch the dog interactions like a hawk and give you real time feedback on what is appropriate interactions and quickly defuse any interaction that might lead to something not positive. I would highly recommend Heavenly Hounds training to anyone looking for a caring and positive experience for your dog.
