I was an American looking for Bavarian food in Berlin. Not necessarily easy. Found this incredible…read moreand authentic Bavarian and Austrian restaurant and it was amazing. When I say authentic, the menus are primarily in German, there are trophy heads on the walls, and you can find mostly German families dining.
Our waiter was a nice young gentleman who waited on us promptly and was helpful with translating the menu. My daughter and I wanted comfort food and our flavorful choices wrapped us in a warm German blanket. We shared the veal Wiener Schnitzel with Spargel. And although everything was perfect, the Spargel is not to be missed. We also had Käseknödel which is a dense dumpling in butter sauce. It came with a sauerkraut salad which, when the waiter set it down said "Welcome to Germany". Very funny.
A delicious experience and worth the travel.
