The wait time was very short, and the office is very kids friendly with video games and flat screen TVs in every room. My daughter got to spin the prize wheel when she had her braces on and won an i-pod shuffle! Dr Chung is very professional and answers all of my questions thoroughly at every visit. When my daughter was terribly nervous, Dr. Chung and staffs explained everything directly to my daughter carefully, thoroughly, and with great warmth. Dr. Chung is very knowledgeable and the technology is top of the line. It was Amazing that my daughter did not have to take messy and laggy impressions because Dr. Chung uses 3D scanner. Then the technicians handed each kid an overstuffed animal with hilarious huge teeth and an over-sized toothbrush. My son got the huge dinosaur and my daughter got the big yellow fish. They each showed the technicians how to "brush" the stuffed animal's teeth. The technicians took pictures of the kids with the stuffed animals. We got to take the pictures home, such a cute idea. My kids are at the age where they love seeing pictures like that. My son had to come back a few times to get a few cavities filled. Dr. Amy was so good with him each time. She set him up with the DVD player and showed him some of the tools. She continuously kept him calm and said he was such a big boy. We had no issues at all. He didn't like the procedures, but she made sure he knew that she was fixing his "booboo" tooth. After the second procedure, he got stickers, little toys, a balloon and a live goldfish (which he promptly named Gobi after the Bubble Guppies). We love it there, and will continue to see Dr. Amy.

Initially, I had plans to straighten my teeth with Invisalign however, after several consultations with many orthodontists (including Dr. Loewinger), it was determined that I would not be a good candidate. Of the many consultations, Dr. Loewinger was the only orthodontist who explained why and provided a detailed overview of the process I would go through with traditional braces. Obviously I was not excited to have a mouth full of metal at 24 years old, but he convinced me that it would be fine. He reviewed the different types of braces available, the rubber band process, and more. By the end of the discussion, we determined that ceramics would be the best option; although it was a bit pricer, it's not noticeable in pictures. The first couple of months my teeth were sore, as expected. During each adjustment Dr. Loewinger and his assistants are very careful and precise--no bruises on my gums from loose wires or rough handling. I visit his office every month and follow through with all instructions given by Dr. Loewinger and the members of his staff. Wearing rubber bands at work and on dates was not an easy task, but I did what I was told and the current state of my teeth are proof that he knows what he's doing. I can only speak to my experience, and it's been wonderful! I look forward to visiting the office for the next 10 months or so and hope you check him out. Among my 2022 New Year's resolutions was to restore dental health. Dreading the cost, I secured top-line (Dental Dental premium-level) insurance and squirreled away a considerable war chest. In mid-summer I made my first visit to American Dental Center. Negatives first, as they are few and relatively insignificant. First, parking is very difficult and compounded by the fact that legal on-street parking isn't available for blocks. Next, on at least two visits wait times were 15 to 20 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment. Finally, while I almost always found the reception area to be welcoming, friendly and efficient, unwarranted brusque (never rude) behavior was encountered when they were very busy-- to be expected, I suppose. Dr. David Paltac was the main dentist for my procedures. Although often rushed, he was quite thorough and responsive to both questions and requests. Additionally, he showed himself to be caring and genuinely focused upon quality work. With due respect to Dr. Paltac, however, the "superstar" was dental surgeon Dr. Yakov Yakubov. With nitrous oxide flowing and a favorite Spotify playlist streaming, over a dozen surgical procedures was-- dare I say-- enjoyable. Everything healed quickly and without complication. Complementing the care team were several outstanding dental assistants. Each was kind enough to keep me up-to-date with the in-process procedures and provide engaging discussion during delays and waits. Always friendly and professional, they were outstanding. Ann worked with my insurance company to arrive at an agreed cost that was about 25% of what I had budgeted. If I had Ann in my corner 15 years ago I wouldn't have waited so long to have this work done. Thank you! Other than the parking, there are a few things to know about American Dental Center. First, their #1 gripe with patients appears to concern "ghosting," and they seemingly don't forget such indiscretions. Being a few minutes early for each scheduled appointment is noticed and appreciated. Next, this is a high-volume dental practice, with many professionals. The waiting areas can get very crowded by mid-afternoon. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, they are quite accommodating to working-out comfortable payment plans, but this is a "pay-as-you-go" operation. If a payment is due, bring your checkbook or credit card if you want to be seen by a dentist. While this seems reasonable, the waiting room has overheard some heated debates on the topic. Thusfar, I've been very pleased by my decision to bring my previously-miserable teeth to American Dental Center.
