There is so much. support, guidance, and structure that comes from this school, they are providing much more than music lessons. After almost a year of lessons, another opportunity came up for Lauren and she moved my girls to a different teacher. After a few months, my girls didn't want to continue voice lessons. To be honest, I'm not sure if they ever really wanted to take them or if it was just something they could do during the pandemic. When I reached out to the owner to let her know we would not be continuing lessons in May and June, she returned my email with a slew of examples as to why she was above being the teacher of my children and why she really moved them to another teacher. Needless to say, that didnt sit well with me. Why was a paying a voice lesson teacher who did not give feedback about a 9 & 10 year old to the parents until we decided to leave the school? With no communication Lauren cancelled all future lessons, that are paid for on the 1st of the month, for the month of April. It was quite a surprise when my children logged in for their lesson to no teacher. After calling and sending an email to the owner, I was told then that all lessons were cancelled and I would receive a refund for the lessons that she cancelled. Okay, sounds fair to refund the customer for the lessons that she as the owner cancelled, right? Yep it did to me too, until the refund was not the correct amount. When reaching out about this, I was told I was given a discount when the teacher was switched in January and that I was not owed a refund. I was never given a discount, I still paid the same $90 for 3 lessons a month. Other teachers at this school have lessons 4 times a month for a $115 fee. The owner who handles the schedule didn't even know that we were not getting weekly lessons. Even after sending her the dates my children received lessons as well as what I continued to pay, she refused to answer my email and has yet to give me the full refund for the lessons she cancelled. She is not an honest business owner and refused to respond when I placed a complaint with the BBB, if you didn't do something wrong, wouldn't you want to respond to a complaint against that is questioning your integrity as a business owner.

She has had a wonderful learning experience there and I credit her teachers for the warm and caring environment in which all the students are learning. The children learn everything from personal responsibility and life skills to learning how to read and write, developing a strong foundation in math skills, and an understanding of the world around us through social studies, geography, and science. The students enjoy weekly lessons in Spanish, cooking, gym, art, music, and more. The students also experience at least two field trips during the school year, playing in the snow (as long as they bring appropriate snow gear), Bike Day at the end of each month, a few celebrations, such as International Day where families come in and teach the students about their heritage. CMS encourages family involvement, whether it's participating in special events or coming in to teach a lesson. Families may be as involved as they choose to be and aren't pressured to do more than they can give. Cornerstone Montessori also offers before- and after-school care for working parents like us and three 2-week summer sessions. The summer sessions are great for parents who would like to check out the school and see if it is right for their child as well as for students who are already enrolled to maintain the skills they have developed during the school year and continue on their learning path. The summer sessions are more relaxed and additional fun activities are scheduled. We are so pleased with our experience at Cornerstone Montessori, and we are sure you will be, too. My daughter woke up with a fever and tested positive for Covid the morning of camp and we obviously decided not to bring her. The camp refused to reschedule or even offer a 50% discount on a future session. I'd recommend checking out School of Rock instead.

Food in the camp was superb ( no pizza or french fries or sandwishes, but healthy fresh nutritious food!). Quiet but the same time creative inspiring environment which stimulates children s creativity, confidence. It felt like as soon as you step inside whole toxic air of modern reality is vanished in this cultural oasis.
