We started when they were in 7th grade, and at that time, their math skills were at a pre-algebra level while most of their friends were at a higher level. I decided they needed help, so we joined C2, and since then, their grades have improved. Their math teacher noticed that both of my daughters were performing above their current math level and moved them up a level. Yay! Long story short, they both achieved SAT scores of 1490 and 1520. They were accepted to both Purdue and UIUC. One is for engineering and the other for chemistry. This is significant considering many smart kids were reportedly rejected this year. Kudos to Colin, who was terrific in helping both of my daughters improve their reading/writing scores. C2 also assisted with college essays. They are flexible with rescheduling; sometimes, I felt bad for rescheduling almost every week, but high school kids are busy with extracurricular activities.

It was posted in March likely when everyone was a bit stressed out and nobody had any idea how things would play out. I'm 100% confident this location was working hard and doing everything possible to help the families in our community. I can only speak to the interactions I have had with the staff there and every time they've graciously gone above and beyond for the children and me as a parent. Our children love the Mathnasium program and always WANT to go...I give credit to Mathnasium but really the local staff at the Barrington, IL location is what makes it such a positive experience.

Director Amanda is excellent and responsive. My son was in the Pre-K room there and my daughter in the 2s and then Preschool Rooms. Megan is/was the Pre-K teacher and I adored her. She was open and up front with the parents. Which is always appreciated. Paulina was my daughter's teacher for the majority of the time she was there and I miss her. She was sunshine. A couple of things I didn't care for: When we'd pick up the kids (at 4:15) my daughter's preschool class was often mixed in with the Pre-K class. And the same when we'd drop them off in the morning. At those times, I kind of felt like they were never doing anything....always running around playing but not doing anything organized. And by running around playing I mean that it came across as complete chaos sometimes. In the end the school did not offer Kindergarten so that is why we pulled my kids out. The school is pretty new, considering the ages of many of the places around here...so I think in time and when there are more kids there, that the kink I mentioned above may work themselves out.
