Brought my sister back to Mathnasium since she's being challenged with accelerated math at school, so it's necessary to recover from the summer slide and pinpoint any fundamental gaps. The center has maintained its friendly, welcoming, and genial atmosphere from the the clean interior, great administrator, and attentive instructors. Love the interactions from the instructors as they keep the kids engaged but also are able to refocus their attention to completing the task at hand. Great student to instructor ratio, so your child will be helped immediately with instant feedback. Can't wait to see what my student and Mathnasium can achieve at the end of the school year! read more

My son came here a few years ago and restarted this summer. They do a great job and make math fun for the kids without the crazy pressure some other places provide. Their contests and incentives motivate my son and get him really excited for his lessons. Evelyn was awesome in helping us re-enroll and patiently reviewed the different plan options. I really appreciate the ability to book classes online based on our schedule. 5 stars all the way! read more

My son who is a 5th grader started attending Mathnasium about 6-7 months ago and we have seen tremendous improvement. What we really love is the format. The learning plan is tailored to the individual needs of your child. My son happened to learn without any pressure in this kind of setup. He went from mid-5th grade level to nearly finishing the 7th grade level now in about 7 months time. In a previous year, we had tried a different Math school that is more of a classroom kind of setup with 2 hrs of instruction. It did not work for him and we had to withdraw him from the program. While that was definitely a great place in terms of the curriculum and teachers, the classroom format just didn't work for my child. Big shout out to the center director Miguel. Really appreciate the flexibility with scheduling. There have been times when we had to cancel last minute OR even ask if there was a slot available the same evening. They have been very accommodative with our requests. Mathnasium team recently had a multi-center math competition. That was a fun exercise and I think more than anything, it was a fun event where kids could learn and enjoy Math. read more

Mathnasium has helped me improve my math skills and it has also been a very fun time. I have been enjoying the rewards and they help me want to keep coming back. -11 year-old participant I appreciate how encouraging the staff are with our kid. He is getting lots of additional math practice that they do not have time for during a typical school day. It's awesome to see how excited he is to attend and develop these skills. -11 year-old participant's parent read more

Our son's math skills have improved greatly while attending sessions at this location. Miguel the center director is easy and so friendly to communicate with. Usually the content did not match Noah's math lessons at school, but an easy call to Miguel and he will print out or write out sample questions for any topic my son was having trouble with at the moment at school, take some time out of the hour session to complete those questions, and then go back to mathnasium content for the rest of the session. Sometimes he would also use some of the time to do any math homework he was having trouble with. I received email updates whenever my son completed a mastery check and also monthly progress reports about which skills he has mastered and how many assignments with the topic noted that he completed that month. There is also a reward system where the kids earn star cards which can be redeemed for snacks, toys, or gift card. Thank you so much Santa Teresa team! read more

Our kids love attending this Mathnasium location and it has helped them stay on track with the math being taught in public school, and has advanced them as well. I like the personal attention provided to each student, and Mark does a great job being attentive to every students needs (and parents calls). There is also a refreshing boba shop in this same strip-mall parking lot so its a nice reward for the kids. :) read more

CHANGE YOUR CHILD'S MATH FUTURE!!! My experience with Mathnasium has been nothing short of miraculous. My daughter began at four years ago, and she went from not liking math to really excelling and loving it. Now my son is enrolled at the Santa Teresa location and it's making a huge difference for him. He really enjoys to go there and the manager, Mark, is a wonderful young man who loves teaching the kids. You can tell he cares. read more

I just enrolled my 11 year-old (almost 12 years old) daughter at Mathnasium Santa Teresa for the first time and she's loving it! She is very motivated to earn all the various rewards and is excited to go to each session. She needed a refresher on some basics, and her math confidence is really growing in only a few sessions. All of the staff have been amazing - they are very welcoming and great teachers! read more

Nice concept and very friendly teachers. Our kids I ready scores increased. I highly recommend Mathanusium.

Enrolled my son in May 2022 bc we noticed he was falling behind in math after returning from Covid home schooling. Super proud of the advancements he's made and love seeing the monthly progress reports. I also appreciate how he has the option to bring his math homework in and get help from an instructor. Will continue to keep him enrolled twice a week. It's well worth it and staff is super friendly and helpful. read more

This is definitely the best math place my daughter has ever went to! She comes home everyday with a smile on her face. The staff are very nice and helps her improve. They also have a prize system where the more work you do, the better the prizes are (e.g snacks, toys). read more

My 8th grade son was doing well overall in math, but had a weak spot or two that prevented him from doing as well on tests as he would have liked. This was taking a toll on his confidence. By his request, we enrolled him for about 6 months to get him over the hump. First he was given a test to find the weaknesses in his skills, then he was given exercises, tests, and help from tutors to help him improve in those areas. Sometimes he progressed quickly, and other times slowly, but he did improve. When he felt that he understood an area but was still supposed to work on it, we talked to the manager, Kristin, and she let him retest and move on to new areas when appropriate. He also appreciated that he could bring in his homework and get help for part of the session. The sessions were 60 minutes long including a short break and sometimes popcorn. He had time to work, but not enough time to get bored or frustrated. The session days/times were also flexible, so we could easily work around other things that came up. The tutors are mostly college and high school students. They are friendly, positive, and knowledgeable. As I write this, my son is a freshman in high school and taking Math 2, having skipped Math 1. So far so good. He is no longer attending Mathnasium, but the boost he got there helped prepare him for success in high school. I would be happy to enroll my son in the Santa Teresa Mathnasium again if he started to struggle again. read more

My daughter has been going to Mathnasium for the last two summers and she always enjoys her classes here:) Marc is the Assitant Manager and he is professional, accommodating, and sweet. He is also very quick to respond and happy to reschedule if needed. The classes are one hour long and no homework are given to the kids, which is different from Kumon in a good way. My daughter likes all the instructors and I hope she will continue to attend every summer to get ready for the new school year. read more

My daughter has been coming to this program for a short period of time and already we have heard positive comments from her math teacher stating that she noticed our daughter demonstrating confidence and improvement in her math ability. We are looking forward to see her progress as time goes by, we would definitely recommend this program! read more

Glad my now 10 year-old and fifth grader is enjoying coming to Mathnasium and math. She was very averse to the idea of doing math at school and at home prior to attending Mathnasium. We have been taking here there for more than a year now. She looks forward to attending the math gym to build confidence. We had tried taking her to another after-school study skills center and she just wasn't having it. We tried workbooks at home, too. However, Mathnasium makes math fun. Parents who have tried helping supporting their child(ren) at home should check out their free trial session. read more

My son is in Jr. High school has learned a lot and has gained confidence in his advanced math skills. Algebra, geometry, solving equations, graphing, etc... We would like to thank the management and the math instructors for helping with his studies. He has been getting A's in his advanced math class. Rating 5/5 or 10/10 even. read more

Great staff and teaches math in an engaging and interesting way! My son loves going there!

Great service and very flexible with make up sessions. Highly recommend. My son has been going for a year and he loves it.

My daughter has been going to Mathnasium for a short time now & is already showing more confidence in her math skills. The tutors are encouraging & supportive. She thought it would be awkward being side by side with other students at different levels, but the program is designed for everyone to work from their own starting point towards improvement. I am so glad we started during summer so she will start school in August already knowing she has extra support. Marc is easy to communicate with & keeps everything well organized. read more

My son is in middle school and is doing perfectly well in math in school, but we were concerned with his school not challenging him enough. Hence, we wanted him to get some extra practice and be exposed to the level of math that he can handle, before he starts high school. We tried RSM, but unfortunately, we were late in the year, and he had missed several lessons already. He tried a class there, but it was a very stressful and challenging environment(15:1 ratio) plus the missed lessons didn't help. RSM has a classroom setting and follow their own curriculum that has nothing to do with school, so I was a bit concerned about that, as well. Overall, it was not a good fit for us, as I did not want my son to have a negative relationship with the subject. We decided to give our neighborhood mathnasium a try, and it was a fantastic decision!! They tailor the lessons per the child and give a thorough assessment test, first. I was very impressed by their assessment procedure. Comparing that with RSM which did a 10 question test, and was such a pain to even schedule a test or an appointment, this one was a breeze to start with, as they are very approachable! My son is good at math, so this place is not only for kids who need help(as I presumed at first). I like that he is moving at his own pace with the qualified instructors support and he is always happy to go here. Credit goes to Marc and Doell for making him comfortable. Marc is super-professional about fees and enrollment procedure, our 100 questions could have exhausted anyone but he's patient and definitely an asset to this place! We've been with them for 3 months now, and my son loves going here. They have some sort of reward system that keeps children motivated to move from one part to another. I also like that they have tutors who will give attention one-on-one(intermittently, of course) and the quality of tutors is great - my son likes everyone of them! Thank you for all your hard work, help and support! read more

I decided to enroll my daughter in Mathasium after a whole year of remote learning where she didn't want to do any math assignments. It has been four months since my daughter started the math program at Mathnasium. She still has a scarcity mindset but I see that she has improved her math skills. She had forgotten her multiplication facts and has mastered it after a few sessions at Mathnasium. She has confidence in solving multi-step word problems and fractions too. The center has many incentives and I think that is the motivation my daughter needed to focus and practice her math skills. The staff is friendly and professional. Overall, I'm pleased there is progress. I hope her mindset toward math will change in time too. read more

My child enjoys going to Mathnasium and has changed his perspective on Math being a 'difficult' subject that is hard to learn. The instructors are friendly and helpful and the reward system helps motivate kids to do more! Kudos to Marc, the director, for being very responsive and flexible with schedule changes. read more

We were with Mathnasium for about 3 years. As long as Marc worked there, it was a 5-star experience. A few months ago he left, and his replacement has some training to do. The little mistakes such as billing errors I could deal with, but when it took over three weeks to return my emails, and the excuse was "car trouble," I felt I was not dealing with a professional organization any more, and left. read more

My elementary age children have been participating at Mathnasium Santa Teresa for 10 months. It was going well until new management about a months ago. I noticed my kids were not being helped during their sessions and staff focused on older students. I was told that several staff have recently quit and those that remain need to be re-trained. We have cancelled out services and will be looking elsewhere for consistent support. read more

My son has been attending Mathnasium in Santa Teresa for about 2months now. I have noticed that he feels a little more confident in areas he struggled in. He tells me they help him understand math. They also send me updates on where he is at. I must say those who have helped me when I've called or have called me are all so nice, helpful and very professional! My son also says the same thing about the tutors there. Which I am sure that's why he also enjoys attending. Can't wait to see the math continue to progress for my son! read more

they have the best education for your child my son said that he can understand the concept and the problems he also said it is really fun

My child has been attending this Mathnasium Center for ~6 months and we have seen her math scores and confidence increase. The site supervisor, Crystal, truly cares about my daughter and feels her successes and her struggles with her. Annabel, Cynthia, and Kyle have also been true gems. They gently push and encourage her to keep trying the more challenging concepts and praise her when she overcomes an obstacle. My daughter can be stubborn and these three have learned to guide her through those moments with compassion while maintaining standards. If your child is struggling in math, this is the place to go. Each child is regularly assessed and a customized lesson plan is created to address the gaps in their knowledge with no time wasted on reviewing concepts they are already familiar with. read more

My daughter has significant math anxiety, and the way she has been taught in public school is not helpful. She is now in middle school (6th grade) and lagging. The annual school tests say she's at grade level, but there are pockets of math she is good at and others that she hasn't mastered. We began Mathnasium in November 2019. We appreciate how they identified the level at which to start tutoring, and the small ratio of teacher to students. She has bloomed as a result and made significant progress. She enjoys the tutors, who are all kind, patient, and engaging. She has decided that math can be fun, and that when she is taught in a small group and at a pace she needs, she understands math. We like the fact that staff does not focus on drills, tests, or speed, and that they take the time to actually teach and help with homework. We also appreciate the manager, Marc; he is flexible regarding the schedule, consistent with communications, and courteous. We have felt supported in the transition to learning at home via computer while we shelter-in-place. There have been technical issues with our home connection, and Marc has patiently helped us troubleshoot. We foresee continuing with Mathnasium for as long as our daughter needs support. read more

This will be my fourth year going to mathnasium, and since I started my math grade has never been below an A. Last year i finished the year with an A+ both semesters in math. Awesome place! My daughter went from struggling in math class to excelling in it, couldn't be happier!

I just wanted to recommend this tutoring facility due to the impeccable faculty and astounding environment for learning. This helped me achieve the goals I set for myself in addition to furthering my education read more

My son is in high school and needed some extra help in algebra, not only for his grade at school to improve but also to boost his score on the SAT. After just 3 months we saw a noticeable improvement in his grades and test scores and he was able to boost his math score on the SAT by over 100 points! On top of that, the staff always seemed happy to see him and he really enjoyed his time there. I would definitely recommend Mathnasium to friends whose kids could benefit from some help. read more

Both of our kids recently got their reports from school, and their love for maths was at the top of the things they enjoy the most about school. Our daughter's teacher also added that our 9 year old patiently teaches her classmates alternative ways to solve math problems. We are very pleased at how Mathnasium is helping the kids enjoy math more and also become more proficient at math... Thank you! read more

Just wanted to update that we are still thrilled with Mathnasium. My son is taking a break after working with it for five months. He has now progressed really far and is beyond ahead in math. My daughter has now attended and she loves it as well. Not only does she ask to do math every day (even when it's closed!) but she is considering getting a math degree now. That NEVER would have happened apart from Mathnasium. She used to be bored, and even in tears over her boring math work. Now she is flying through. Today, she did multi step algebraic equations in her head, an entire page. (of course the instructor asked her to write out the steps anyway...) Also a side note to say that the owner Geethika (husband and wife team) is lovely. We find her to be efficient, understanding, calm, and relatable. My daughter is going to ask her how to open a Mathnasium franchise someday. read more
