Pacific Coast Trade School

I was looking online for schools that offered electronics technology and one day I happend to come…read moreacross pacific coast trade school and I called them for more information about their electronics program. The phone conversation went so great that I was convinced that this would be perfect, I spoke with David Mutt, in admissions. I set up an interview with him and turns out that he was not as professional as he sounds. I got to the school, it looks nice, nothing out of the ordinary, went inside the school and waited for David. When I met the admissions director, David, He was dressed up all gangster and wore those big gold chains like what the rappers would wear. I told myself that it's fine, that's who he is And just continued on. All and all, after taking to David, I decided to want to take the course so he sends me to financial aid and we processed my financial aid and student loans and everthing was fine, no out of pocket, and no repayments until I'm done with school, perfect, or so I thought. I even set up a free one day trial for the program that was in two days. Two days later, I went in for my free trial day and it was a disaster! I went in and met the teacher who barely knew any english, she didn't even introduce herself to me or let me introduce myself until i asked her who she was then she went to turn on the computer and pointed for me to sit down and plugg in the earphones and I did that for about two hours just exercises on electronics materials that I was BRAND NEW to! Then she brought in a printed circuit board and some wires and circuits and just told me to start plugging in the wires and then she handed me a hot stick and some solder wires and just told me to solder the wires onto the board and I am brand new to this, what and how am I suppose to do this??? I was frustrated so when the teacher wasn't around I spoke to one of the students and asked her how the class works, because I did not get any information on the syllabus and rubic or structure of the class. The student told me to think twice because she didn't know and know since she spent 8,800 on the course she is forcing herself to finish it, that this course is not like any other college or training schools out there, i'm better off taking this course online because they don't get lectures, they don't test you, no homework, and no structure just solder boards after boards until your time is up. by now, I had second thoughts on this program. After that dreadful day was over, I went in to talk to David and he told me that he had bad news and that their school is currently being audit and they have to put student loan and financial aid on hold?? Have any of you heard of this before? I mean, if they were being audited, don't you think that they would'be told me that two days before I did my fianancial aid? Also, David offered to give me a discount price so i can pay in full. I declined because who can pay 8,800 in full even if discounted. I think this school is all in it for the money, one day they tell you something then the next, they tell you something else. Beware. I'm happy that I declined this school.

IECP is a toxic, predatory company that uses fear and intimidation to control staff. Travis, the…read moreso-called "director," threatened to fire me multiple times and falsely accused me of misconduct -- all while reeking of cigarettes at the last training like the walking embodiment of burnout and hypocrisy. You'll get zero support, zero protection, and all the blame when things go wrong. This company exists solely to profit off vulnerable students while sacrificing the mental health and safety of its staff. Avoid at all costs. At IECP, parents and teachers love to call in complaints like it's a sport -- while the BII staff are thrown into high-risk situations with little to no training. The company bends over backward for districts and families but completely abandons the people actually doing the work. Travis and Elizabeth hide behind passive-aggressive emails, fake concern, and corporate jargon while you're left to take the heat. This isn't support -- it's sabotage. IECP is a legal and ethical disaster waiting to happen. Avoid. What's the difference between IECP, Travis, and Elizabeth... and a dumpster fire? The dumpster fire eventually burns out and stops ruining people's lives. Some parents weaponize their children's diagnoses like legal grenades and expect the rest of the world to absorb the fallout. And let's be honest -- some of these "miracles" are nothing more than walking lawsuits with carbon footprints. When you start wishing for more public funding for clinics and fewer passive-aggressive emails, you know something's gone very wrong. IECP enables this chaos with zero regard for its staff. They'll throw you into volatile classrooms without training, and when it all goes sideways? They blame the only person who showed up. This company isn't here to support special education -- it's here to profit from it. It's astonishing how some people make the conscious choice to bring a child into the world knowing they won't take responsibility for them -- emotionally, financially, or behaviorally. Instead, they let society, schools, and underpaid staff carry the burden, while they sit back, cash government checks, and weaponize the system through lawyers and tantrums. That's not parenting. That's parasitism. Modern parenting, apparently: Step 1: Have a kid you're not equipped to raise. Step 2: Blame the entire world for not doing it for you. Step 3: Sue someone when your "miracle" throws a desk.

I asked for a raise but the HR guy Travis offered a 25 cent raise even while working with kids they considered to be difficult. This is not the first time in the past few months they have done this to Antonio. The reason why he goes there in the first place is cause my parents agreed to pay for it, and that's been the fact for the last 9 years. Yes Antonio has been going there since kindergarten. Last year they stopped paying it and kept putting it off without my knowledge probably cause they didn't want to bother me with it or for whatever reason. The last pastor worked with my parents to keep him in school last year but as every month went by I Antonio's legal father was not notified until a few months ago. Not by certified letter or a meeting or even by pulling me aside at any morning I drop him off! But my notification was a phone call telling me to come pick up my son we can no longer provide services to him. I explained my side of the story and asked why I was never notified of this a year ago and that I'll be taking over all payments if my parents aren't paying it anymore cause I need to keep in school. I explained I can afford tuition but all the past due I'm going to have to wait until my clients pay me to pay it off. I made payments the last few months as much as I could and told them I'm still waiting on a few big checks from insurance jobs I've finished. On Tuesday I had a meeting with The Father and Principal to arrange a payment schedule to keep him in school after them pulling him out of class for the third time. I offered to pay off last years balance that day and pay regular tuition rates every month until my checks come in and then I'll pay the balance in full. After a short talk amongst themselves My offer was refused and they told me Antonio is no longer able to attend Santa Clara Elementary School. Let me do some math now, about 400 a month for the last 9 years minus the months off for break plus fee's comes to somewhere around $36,000+ Santa Clara Elementary has made off us. Now at the last four months before Antonio graduates from 8th grade they decide to kick him out? Wow, Just Wow....I'm still processing it all and trying to look at the good from this situation, like I said, I'm trying...My Money is good, I just don't get paid like a normal job, most of my clients are on a billing system and insurance jobs take even longer to pay....I don't know, I'm just real disappointed by this whole thing...But I'm not the real loser in this whole matter, Antonio my son is....
