The library was one of my favorite places to hang out. The teacher got hell from her students when she was the sweetest and smartest teacher I had met up to that point. She nurtured my love of literature. I wish other students had appreciated her.

I remember thinking I was so smart being in honors history. Honors language arts. Algebra 1. Spanish 1. Ooooh I'm sooooo smart. Also, I never understood why kids who sucked up to their teachers here at Monte Vista were called "Smacks." I still don't get it. Oh, and PE. PE was the shit. We played cool things like team handball... and a foot-based volleyball game like sepak takraw... and paddle tennis. We also did a schoolwide cookbook, which was supposed to be a math project because it involved calculating the macronutrients and calorie values per serving, but I feel like no one really did the math except for me... Oh, and we did a music revue of America. Going west. In a covered wagon. Me and Mamie O'Rourke. Fifty nifty United States. Got to got to get us some elbow room. Swing low, sweet chariot, coming for to carry me home. And don't get me started on Renaissance trips to Magic Mountain. We destroyed that place. We're the reason I hate Magic Mountain now. Their board members will do anything to go out of their way to make your kid feel like shit. They make kids cry left and right and tell them that they love them, but do multiple things to take them down and make sure it's the worst middle school years for them. They'll take a situation that is really not big at all and escalated by 10 just by taking it up to the office, they get people in trouble for no reason and DEFINITELY have their favorites. They also DEFINITELY have their least favorites too. All the teachers are very rude, but not as rude as the people up in the office. They don't want you to promote. They don't want you to be successful. They want you to suffer and that's exactly what they do to everyone the teachers go around talking smack about other students which is very immature to me because isn't this a middle school where the kids are supposed to be talking about each other? Not the adults be talking about the kids. They also have a very "No smoke" policy but when it comes to their favorites, the policy doesn't apply to them. not to mention, the school is very nasty. The bathrooms always smell not even smell they reek the locker rooms are always disgusting and there's always trash all around the school. One of the biggest things that is bad about this school is the fact of how unsafe it is they make things online saying that this is the happiest school ever. This is hell there's fights like every week. They have to have officers there and it is not safe at all. Do not let your kid go to the school. If you are thinking about it, they will make it seem like it's all good that they'll call you every single time that your kid does something wrong but that's not true. They'll call you every single time. Your kid makes a mistake and also they try to make it seem like you're allowed to make mistakes but the second that you make one it's a big problem to them.

Its located on a busy intersection with only one way in and one way out, so if you miss your entrance good luck making a couple of u-turns to get back. hint: it will be a right, then a u-turn, then a left turn, then a u-turn, followed by a right turn to get back in if you miss the entrance.
