I like Glassdoor reviews, note there is a former firm called 'eateria' with similar ownership to…read moreClaim Academy which has a Glassdoor profile. Coursereport is dependent on coding bootcamps for its revenue (I will note they say this doesn't affect certain aspects of their site). I personally wouldn't judge ratings on coursereport as 1/5 stars. I would roughly estimate the average rating on the site and compare to that. The average review rating on that site appears to be higher than 4.4 stars. Always judge how management of a business responds to criticism across all review platforms. Always ask yourself if a company values customer/employee criticism and utilizes any criticism as an opportunity to improve. In my case I took a week or less of a course in August 2020. They waited until 2/22/24 to tell me that I owed them $24400. This issue specifically regards an ISA which I was told would be canceled per the withdrawal policy I still have within original documents from 2020. I have former Claim staff using terms like cancel/canceling in communication I still have record of. This ISA also has the line: "...in return for receiving the program or training provided by Claim Academy, (Course name)..." I will admit I haven't made an 'extrodinary' effort to prove my case here for various reasons. I was advised that there probably wouldn't be a serious attempt to collect on this debt and that I should do nothing (which appears to be the case as I have waited 5.5 business days for a debt collector to provide proof of the debt). However my main reason is that I feel it would be wrong for me to have potentially been liable for $24400 had I deleted some emails, thrown away an old phone, disposed of documents I could reasonably assume I did not need or lost my GPS information from 4 years ago. I feel it is wrong to ask me to prove this agreement is nullified like I have been asked to by both parties involved. I feel that doing so could be potentially enabling a practice I do not condone. I also feel it is beneficial for me to keep to myself a distinct timeline of my activity. Especially as I have not actually seen any evidence validating this debt and do not know if there is any "evidence" other than the original ISA. I cannot alledge that this was an intentional attempt to decieve me. I do assume it is possible to 'forget' to cancel a contract you said you would cancel. I do assume it is possible this business could just 'forget' that I didn't actually take this course (or the length of the course required for me to pay in full per withdrawal policy). The main two individuals I dealt with are no longer employed there. I believe MDHE regulations regarding certification for proprietary schools only require complete attendance records and such to be held for a minimum of 3 years. So there is 'some' possibility that they don't actually know what happened. However I would ask why they would cancel the ISA with Leif on 10/28/2020 if I had taken a 20 week course starting in August. I also find it odd for a MDHE approved school to forget if someone took a course or not. I find 2/22/24 an odd time to make the first mention whatsoever of this obligation and contract. I'm sure there are good people who actually value teaching working here, but I personally don't view this ownership/management as deserving of a dollar of my hard earned money. Honestly I feel sorry if I came off as rude in my communication with any Claim staff. In conclusion: if I had a chance to talk to early 2020 me, "don't deal with Claim Academy" would be up there with "buy Tesla stock". My phone is 314 750 2134, If someone has had a similar situation. *I may have to engage in legal action and do not wish to reveal any timeline. I also assume there will be a response to this review and will add more images after that.

I met with a salesperson who said my child would take about 6 months to complete the program. After…read more9 months she was nowhere near 100% so another salesperson said it would be more like 18 to 24 months. Keep in mind I already paid a large sum for the 9 months just to be told it would be much longer and cost a lot more. I kept doing the activities with my child although very little improvement. I decided I would enroll my other child as she has ADHD which they say they can help. This child they said 9-12 months. She did it for 12 months and we thought some things improved. When we finally assessed she was at 100% on all things but 1 or 2. So we decided to walk her off the program. Both salespeople told me that once a brain levels up (so to speak), it will stay there--my concern was we balance things and then it become unbalanced again. Their statement was not true. I took my first child back a year after she had stopped and found she dropped on many of the categories she had achieved 100% and scored higher on some areas which is odd since she improved without the program. My second & most recent child just ended and I can already see some behaviors that had improved return. Keep in mind as she balanced her brain, she ended up on more medications and more details to her school IEP. Staff is always nice but definitely seems to be a sales scheme. My children's doctor told me she had 2 other patients try it and it did not do anything and kids were still on meds but maybe a lower dose. She thought maybe the families did not walk off correctly but I let her know, it is just not a valuable program as I have binders of tracking and following all guidelines with the center confirming along the way and neither child gained anything from it--instead we lost a lot of money.

My son (B******) has a functional disconnect. He is was very left brained and couldn't process…read morewhat both parts of his brain are trying to accomplish. They were out of sync and when he would hear something, it would be a serious delay before he said he realized it. All kinds of other problems were happening. I couldn't talk to him, I couldn't keep him from exploding - it was like he was Autistic . My wife and I have had him to many specialists, tested, we've spent over 11K just trying to desperately find an answer. This was out last ditch effort. We tried the Brain Balance program (But only after finding a groupon that give us $200 off the assessment). The 12 weeks program was a real trial for us. But after week 5 I saw major changes. My son actually came up to me on Sunday morning and said "good morning daddy" and asked for something to eat. Usually I get a temper tantrum if I dont IMMEDIATELY get up and follow him. But this time I said ok and give me minute and he said in reply " ok daddy - thank you ". THAT WAS IT! No screaming. NO crying . NO hitting (that happens alot. My wife and I both cried. He was getting better. Long story short = The program helped him to develop his right brain so as to "balance" out the brain and sync/ help him process what he is hearing, seeing, how he interacts with other children (he never could before), and a lot more. Basically fine tuned the brain so timing and collaboration happens normally. This is not for the faint of heart. The 3 days a week program and the driving to Edwardsville was a real trial and its expensive. It costs $6000 and its like therapy for the entire family. They do a lot of diet and nutritional changes too - based on blood tests. So that was not fun. But it was well worth it. Brain Balance works and my family is growing now. We're working on new challenges, but it solved a lot of problems.
