I called this center asking for pricing on a tutor for honors pre-calc and maybe honors physics. I…read morewas told that they do 2-hour blocks, so this would require two if not three 2-hour sessions a week. HS students can't do 1-hour sessions and you can't split a 2-hour session between two subjects. I ask for hourly pricing and I'm told "$60-70/hr" depending on the package. I say thank you, but $240/week is too much for me. She asks me to go into the center for a full explanation of their services. I go in and we're asked to fill out a form outlining all HS classes taken and the corresponding grades. My son asks if he can just fill out math because that's all we need help for. I say yes. She calls us back and makes a snide comment about us not completing the form. I remind her that I only want tutoring in one, maybe 2, subjects. No SAT prep, no additional subjects. She goes on to talk about college prep and I say I already have a contract with a college admissions advisor and I don't need that either. She talks about their testing and reporting. Fine, but don't think I need it. Then we get to pricing. She flips past the bigger packages and goes to the one that most aligns with my needs (which I clearly outlined on the phone). Now all of a sudden it's $114/hour, or $452/week if I do two 2-hour sessions. I already said $240/hr was too much, so why would I ever agree to $452/hr?? It was a complete waste of my time. So rude and disrespectful to lure me out there when I was very clear on the phone.

Sickens me that a company would try and prey on students and student parents. They use "sense of…read moreurgency", "buy now for discount" tactics that are both grimy and predatory. Avoid this place at all costs. FYI they quoted me over $15,000 for tutoring sessions and their "summer plan".

My two children have been in Kumon for the past 3 years. This has been the best investment for them…read moreso far. They have been progressing tremendously in math and reading. I signed my children in math originally. After seeing their great progress at school, we decided to sign them for reading as well. I wish I had signed them for Kumon reading from the beginning. I highly recommend Kumon. It creates a strong foundation in math and reading. It is very important to understand that you need to give it TIME, as the aim of the class is to rebuild the foundation! Time is needed to rearrange thinking process and problem-solving skills, but after a while the progress is impressively rapid!!! We have been with the Bristow Kumon center since they opened. It is a great center. The instructor is very kind and patient with the kids. She spends a lot of time individually with children to make sure they master the skills at each level. She has been great in her communication with us regarding the kids' progress on a regular basis. I highly recommend this center!

Shari, the director of Bristow Kumon has been so wonderful, patient and dedicated to teaching my daughter.
