I have no doubt that the medical staff are competent. However, I had an incredibly stressful…read moreexperience trying to find out results of a MRI they ordered. The scans and the radiologist's report were faxed to them the afternoon of the MRI. However, I was not informed of results for 11 days which is an agonizing wait for someone who is a cancer survivor! Fortunately results were fine, but no one should have to wait that long for test results! Trying to communicate with this organization is a pain. Their "patient portal" is a joke. You can't leave messages on the portal. You are told you can text them, but no one ever responded to my texts. You are also told by their voicemail to not leave multiple messages. However, whenever I called trying to find out what was going on, the office staff were polite but kept giving me various excuses that "they got a lot of faxes", or the "hospital doing the MRI didn't send everything" (which they did, twice!), or "the medical records people have to upload the material so the doctor can review it". But 11 days?? Forget it. I will not be returning to Orthopedic and Sports Medicine.

I ended up getting a second opinion because my symptoms were not matching up with what a normal sprain would be. My second opinion proceeded to take one look at my scans and see that I actually had a non-displaced distal fibula fracture. Definitely NOT a sprain. The staff was kind but I would not recommend going here after something like that was missed for me.

This studio, which is right next to my dentist (Advanced Dental Arts), is a branch of Maximum…read morePerformance (on McCall Rd). I'm glad that they have it on this side of the town although Manhattan is really not that big of a place. I've only been to this studio twice for a yoga class. On my second visit, I actually got time to check out the gym. First of all, it doesn't seem like parking is a problem. I've been going there in the evening, so I don't know if that makes any difference. They have a small lobby area with nice comfy chairs. The lockers are also around there. The gym staff that I have met are very nice and helpful. Because it's a small place, there aren't too many equipments. I can safely report that there are two of each equipments. They have the usual treadmill, elliptical and bicycle machines, weights etc. There's one studio room for the different workout classes. I think this branch is fairly new because there aren't usually too many people. In fact, the times I've been there, I was the only person to use the place. I like the yoga classes because the instructor is really good at what she's teaching and it's a really quiet and peaceful place to do yoga too despite being right next to a somewhat busy street. My only qualms is the price because they have special discounts only for military personnels or students. Regular members will have to pay about $40 a month. Knowing that I can only go once a week makes me feel like that price is a little too much including the price of gas I will have to spend to drive to this location as well. I still would like to continue going to this gym just because it seems extremely clean and it's still new, so the equipments are also in top condition. I hope that the next time I feel like giving it a second review, I will want to give it one more star. The only reason it's a 3 is simply because I've only been there twice.
