Worst care ever. I can't give 0 stars so I gave her 1 just so I could leave the review. Worst health service I've ever had. She was "out of the office for 4 weeks" when I called to get my Epi pen renewed. I was told I would have to wait until she returned and come in for a physical and lab work before it could be filled. I couldn't be without my Epi pen that long and called another doctor. 3 months later she sends me a certified letter declining to be my doctor any longer. She will withhold a life saving Epi pen to force me to pay for an office visit and labs. Not the doctor I need. read more

I have had many issues with dr Salas. Prescriptions not approved, wrong information in my files. Not being checked out properly when I was sick. I had a sore throat, no voice and was told I had a cold! Never checked my throat. I went to urgent care and received proper care and medication. The medical staff at the office is wonderful. Dr. Salas is terrible. She doesn't listen. She argues. She wants to be done with you as quickly as possible. The wait in the waiting room is long, then the wait in a room is long. She is awkward. My wife and I have been seeing Dr Salas for about 4 years now, and find her to be a very good general practitioner. She knows when to refer patients out for special needs. My only complaint is that sometimes getting Rx refills takes longer than it should. A few times I've had to use "loaner pills" at the pharmacy while waiting for the OK from Dr Salas. I have been a patient of Dr Salas for about 5 years. I am now looking for a new Doctor. Through the years I have experienced Dr Salas being confused, documented wrong medical information, even things I've never had. Dr Salas list of diagnosis was not me!! She remembered old issues that were no longer an issue and wanting to address it again. Why! Once I went to Dr Salas because I had horrific back pain, couldn't hardly move, pain was a 10. She walked into the room, set herself up on her computer, looked at me and said, "How's your stomach?" I said I wasn't there for my stomach, I had horrific back pain! Her comment, "You have stomach problem". No! Not now. I had to tell her all about the stomach problem that was resolved years ago before I could convince her that I was there because of back pain! Diagnosing me with her thoughts her reasoning, not the information I was giving her. Another example, I had a lingering cough and it got worse at night. I explained to Dr Salas I had sinus drainage due to allergies but the over the counter medication was not helping. She said I had silent acid reflex. I tried to explain to Dr Salas again what I was feeling. No acid burning, just cough. She said she knew what I had because she had had it. She ordered chest X-rays, ordered an appointment with a Pulmonary Dr and medication. I couldn't change her mind. I immediately went and had the X-rays done. I knew the X-ray would prove "her thought" diagnosis was wrong. In a day or two I was notified X-ray was normal. No reflux meds, no Pulmonary Dr. REALLY! The final straw! August 3, 2020, I had my annual mammogram done. August 11, I received a call from the Imaging Center. They said they had faxed Dr Salas three times requesting authorization for a second mammogram and ultrasound test. They needed further imaging to complete the evaluation. I called Dr Salas office. The front desk said she thinks she had seen the fax. She would have Dr Salas sign the form and fax it to the Imaging Center. A few minutes later the Imaging Center called me. They had just received the signed authorization form and scheduled my appointment for August 13. The additional test Confirmed I have a mass in my left breast. Test results would be sent to Dr Salas and she would contact me. REALLY! NOT!!! Stupid me, I nervously wait, stressed, scared, depressed! August 19 I finally call Dr Salas office. Front desk said test results were there in the office. I asked why I hadn't received a phone call?! I needed to know the result, I've been anxiously waiting! She gave me an appointment for August 24. Wait longer?! Told her I needed to know now! She talked to the Dr to see what she could do. I was given a phone appointment for August 20. My phone conversation with Dr Salas was disappointing to say the least. She started by asking what I wanted!? Mammogram and ultrasound results! She was aloof, vague. I felt she had not even looked at the report. I asked why she hadn't contacted me, She was defensive. She thought I received a copy of the report. I said no, how many labs send patients the results, especially if there's a problem. She asked if I was upset. I said of course. I had been waiting, stressed, anxious, depressed. She focused on depressed. She said the mass was small as my eye pupil, compared it to almost nothing. Said report referred to mass as a cyst. It's probably not cancer. I should have called her. I was overreacting. Never mentioned a sorry I didn't call sooner. Nothing like that. No direction, nothing about what should be done next. She said report was vague. I asked if she had called the lab to discuss results with the Doctor. She said she could if I wanted her to. WHAT!! My husband asked about hormones. She wasn't aware I was on them??! She's the one who prescribed them. Then she suggested maybe changing hormones. I reviewed why I was on hormones. She talked over me. She became so combative I hung up on her! I received a written documentation of our phone appointment. She diagnosed me with major depression disorder, severe! Out of all of this, that's her diagnosis!! I wonder why I was depressed??? She said to stop some of the hormone replacements, but the hormones were listed incorrectly. How can you adjust them when the info is already wrong. Also she made this decision without any testing of my current hormone levels. There were also other mistakes in this medical document. There is more to this saga, but I'll save you the drama. Won't ever go back again, and still looking for a new provider for myself. It was the first time I walked out of her office with someone else's paperwork, let it go, when I had to go back in and chalked it up as the ladies in the front offices mistake! 2nd time I went to this office. Let's talk about these ladies in the office, mind you they don't follow protocol for doctor patient confidentiality, they let other patients and people know my medical problem very loudly, even though what I had to deal with wasn't anyone's business but my families and my doctors! This last time I am About 90% sure she had my file mixed up with another person, I have never been tested for sleep apnea, and never in my life have ever been diagnosed with before or went for any tests for sleep apnea, I had gone and did the blood test she asked for, so when she had mentioned this at my last appointment with her it had my husband and myself looking at each other so dumbfounded! Where the hell did that come from? She put me on bupropion even though last time she did this I told her it had been making so depressed that thoughts of suicide were constantly on my mind, all this just to quit smoking, I think I'd rather keep smoking thank you! She said she would write me another script for a upper basically that will help balance out the downer of bupropion. Because the bupropion had more of something in it that didn't help with serotonin levels, so what does she do writes me another script same exact thing same exact dose, just smaller dosage 2x a day, but adding it up, it's still the same dosage as before! Seriously! She had mentioned a few other things to my husband and myself, but she would never stay in the room long enough to ask her questions, she kept running in and out, looking at her computer, and seemed like she was in a hurry! When leaving we realized she was waiting for her daughter and they were leaving for a vacation it sounded like, yes I could hear them talking! At this point I get my paperwork and we walk out of the office to get in the car as my husband's checking out my prescription and it's once again someone else's paperwork! Send me to collections but I will never pay her for the lack of care she provided! read more

Dr. Salas is very nice. I do have a problem with the amount of time I have top wait, my 1st office visit, I had to wait over 2 hours before I was seen. Each time I was seen, she was typing into her computer and not looking me in the eye. I felt it was not very personal. Also tyring to get an appointment takes forever. I have been trying to contact the office all morning, I keep getting the answering service. The Dr. is nice, the customer service is horrible!!!! read more

Dr Salas is a great, informative Doctor. The issue I have is that she is ALWAYS running late. Every appointment that I have had, as well as my sisters, we have had to wait in the exam room for over an hour before being seen. While I understand that things come up when you are a doctor, it feels more like poor planning to have so many appointments so close together that you are consistently an hour or more behind. read more
