This program supports child continuous academic development and envolvement, creating a strong academic environment for children alike. The teachers will proceed and patiently help students through assignments and exculsively teach them higher academic levels, if granted extra time. The biggest highlight of the program is the exclusive college level tutoring, where they hire actual professionals in your specific subject. After coming out of math clinic 10-14 years ago and from other peoples testimonies (Alex, Ronald,... ) , The strict discipline has taught lots of people i knew growing up here led to engineers, my friend now working at east west bank and heading up to private organization. Sometimes you need hard strict practices to break habits or I would not be where I am at today. You will never find a better education school that engraves good habits into you but at the cost of happiness. I attended here when I was in 2nd grade (like about 19 years ago) for summer school and right away it wasn't a pleasant school, especially my cousin and I both attended the school together. First of all the teachers are so disorganized. Her "lessons" were all over the place. Secondly, my teacher "grades" based on how well the students get along with the teacher. So if you are a teacher's pet, you would guarantee an A but if you don't get along with the teacher, the teacher would give you a grade as low as a C despite decent academic performances. My cousin had poor academic performances throughout her years of education (D's and F's and eventually dropped out of college) received A's and B's at this so call "tutoring facility" due to the fact she was a teacher's pet. Whereas me, I have pretty average academic performance (A's and B's and eventually graduated with RN BSN) obtained B's and C's at this facility due to "poor relations" with the teacher. I am not sure how the school runs now in 2021 but if they still run the same way as back in 2002 please do not enroll your kids in this facility. read more

After seeing all these negative comments from previous years, I have no comments on that. However, after the new owner took over, I have to admit it became a standard tutoring center. They provide everything that a child need; experienced teachers, great study environment, healthy snacks, and enough materials for all grades. Teachers are definitely caring and intelligent to fulfill all student's need. They don't only help on school homework, they also prepare for future lessons to expand one's knowledge. Besides after school tutoring, they also provide weekend classes which my kid go to. My kid loves to go there, he always came back and tell me the excited things or interesting things he learned from math clinic. Went here for the first time when I was in second grade. Came back again when I was in seventh grade and left right after that. Back when I went here, it was under the management of Mr.Lai, MKHS Chemistry teacher, and his wife. In addition, Mr. Lai's son and a few other teachers are present to help students with their homework. Calvin, Mr. Lai's son, is alright. His father, Mr. Lai, likes female students more than male students. Mrs. Lai, is the principal that has this arrogance thinking that she's better than anyone else. In addition, she is always grumpy; the only time she'll be smiling is monthly tuition payment. Math Clinic is your typical asian after school program. The quality of tutoring is very poor and rushed. It seems like all these want is your money. I recently heard that this place is under new management. Whether or not this place is better under management I do not know. However, during my time here I can say one thing for sure: DO NOT COME HERE! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND ANOTHER TUTORING PLACE. read more

I advocate against pawning your child off to this toxic, criminal place in favor of a quality tutoring center that actually cares about your child's wellbeing. I write this review in full intention to prevent your child from developing the same issues as I did from this money grubbing hell hole. Ms. Wong is the devil, and you're an accomplice if you're sending your child there. I speak for my younger self as an adult. DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!!!!!!! I speak as a former student here. My parents are Asian and they didn't know better because they only wanted me to succeed in education (they didn't know English). I was here from 5th to 8th grade. If Mrs. Wong is still running the place, I'd run for your money. She bullies children. When I was there, she took everyone's report card and printed it out. She only took the ones withs straight As or good grades. She doesn't ask the parent's permission at all. She just takes it from the child directly. First of all, that requires a person's permission. The first time I said no, she treated me coldly, ignored me, and made me feel like I was in the wrong. Basically shunned. I was only 11 for Christ sake. It has affected me for the longest time (I couldn't say no for the longest time) until I was 7th grade when I finally realized I had the right to say no, and she shouldn't be childish. Another thing is that she likes to scream at children, and make them feel stupid. I remember when I was waiting for my mom, a little girl (Each room is sectioned by grade level) probably in 1st or Kindergarten couldn't remember how to spell a list of fifteen words (all too far advanced for her age by the way), and Mrs. Wong so kindly yelled at her when she didn't couldn't spell them then threatened her by saying she can't leave until she can spell it. By the way when we were there, we actually believed this. As children you really don't know better. At the time, in order for you to leave they would quiz you from your textbook or spelling board. If you can't pass, you have to stay until you do. I remember seeing the little girl crying while trying to spell out the words, and Mrs. Wong looking indifferently. When she couldn't, Ms. Wong sent her back to the room alone with no one to help memorize the words. No one dares to comfort her because 1) the tutors never comfort the child because they don't care 2) other children would never comfort her because they don't want to get yelled at by Ms. Wong. She is only 5 or 6. It's unworldly expectation for her to memorize it all in a days time. Ms. Wong is very sexist and there is slightly classism. Sexism is overtly obvious as a student. For parents, she never shows. She acts differently. No doubt. She is able to get away with it because most of the victims are children and children never know better because they don't understand their treatment is unjust and horrible. Speaking for myself, I couldn't stand up fro myself because I was a kid, and I thought all adults were right. Lastly, when I was there, a student was stealing my things. I was sure because My things would go missing when I asked her to watch my things, and there weren't other people in the room. Then the item that was missing would appear the next day in her possession. I didn't have hard proof. I reported to Ms. Wong. I was maybe 12? Instead of believing the victim, she was accusing me of lying. Like dude, just check the cameras. Man, I am glad this is over. In summary, these are the few highlights of this place that I still remember after years later. The tutors are exceptional as they actually know their shit in comparison to tutoring centers where they just hire college students with no idea how to solve anything. However, nothing overshadows the fact that this is best place to have your kid develop low self-esteem and lacking a backbone. Stellar and wonderful place to have your child trampled on and being taken advantage of. Guaranteed to be the place your child sheds tears. So if you hate your child, throw them off into this torture zone. read more

Very nice after school.The teachers help you with your homework until you are done with all your homework.Also,when it is in the summer,the after school is still open full days as there is a lot of good field trips to go to.Very nice price and if you go ten full weeks,you can go to a awesome field trip.Last summer we went to Great Wolf Louge.You will get to sleep in the hotel for one night or more.There is also weekend classes.You can schedule your class whenever there is time.If you are busy,you can sent your child here and it will be awesome. read more

I taught there Summer of 2019 after the first year towards earning my masters degree. The new management is VERY concerned with the students well being and applies a strong hands-on approach to teaching the children. Occasionally a special needs child will be passed off on her, but she is able to identify them quickly and advise parents to place them in a proper setting where their needs will be met by specialists. I have personally seen several advanced-gifted students come out of this setting as well. Your children will flourish here. read more

Man, I remember coming here and what the two reviewers on the bottom said was true. Didn't learn very much and when it came to tutoring, I wished I learned how to pick up a grasp on math. The owner's here have some arrogance and isn't helpful. Like the other two reviewers say, all they want is money. Also, the time I was here, the kids here weren't very disciplined. I normally don't write reviews but the lady who picked up the phone was extremely rude. I had questions about sending my child there and this lady just responded with "Who are you? Does your child come here? If you have time, come in and speak with Yuki." My questions were very simple i.e. "What do you help the kids with? Homework? Math only?" Very good after school. The teachers help the students with their homework, and there are snacks for the kids. Even better is that they are open during the summer, so kids have somewhere to go during the summer and are able to be prepared for the fall. Thank you Math Clinic! read more

Well, I came to this place for the summer program(every year 2012 through 2016) and it was horrible, simply horrible. the food sucked. all the things they "taught" me were things I already learned the year before. also, it was severely crowded. plus, the "principal" was always playing candy crush on her iPad, like it was her home. They have snacks that can be bought there, but it's not really a good deal. Also, that give you tests on math, vocab. , and social studies and science. These test doesn't really help at all. The vocabulary that they give us, I don't even use them. The social studies and science come out of your text books and u learned it already. Mostly Asians there. I first time I went there, the person that owned that place made people cry. When there is a party, u need to pay, I would not recommend this place. read more
