The bathrooms and showers are above average and are cleaned daily. They have a dump station, potable water, propane, and a nice laundry facilities. There is a playground and dog walking areas. Each site has a table and fire ring. There is a small canp store that sells ice cream and firewood. The staff are pretty friendly and the park is well maintained. I stayed 6 nights and have no complaints.

It's nice to get away from Anchorage and camp and also avoiding the Seward Highway by coming up this way. We have tons of errands to do, so it's nice that wasilla and Palmer are close by to get stuff done, but still feel like we are out camping and enjoying the last of the summer. The creek is viewable from your campsite. Please DO NOT rent a pontoon boat unless you are an extremely competent rower and or have a guide with you. Me and my three buddies rented a four person pontoon boat and nearly drowned as we encountered a "sweeper" (tree that has fallen and is just above the water surface, making going over it in the boat impossible. (Google "drowning in Alaska by sweeper or strainer trees"). Our boat wedged up against the tree and the current was strong and wanted to capsize our boat but did not and ultimately, after what seemed like several frantic minutes where one of us was pinned on our back and having his face smashed by a stout branch, and another was in the water and having his waders fill up with water and having to struggle to stay above the surface of the water by holding onto tree branches with all his might, we were pushed under the tree and branches with some scrapes and broken fly rods. Three of the four of us believed we were going to drown. If you want to fish this creek, just do so from the bank.

However, after dealing with this company I think that "Crooked" is actually a term I would describe the manager and the owner. It is my understanding there have been numerous "extraordinary" events which would keep Warren from returning phone calls. Instead he would simply screen the calls. However, when someone eagerly takes money for a service and then refuses to answer the phone, texts, and emails I find no excuse. I have been waiting to fulfill a dream of a guided Alaskan fishing trip for more than 20 years. When I spoke to Warren (Gen Mgr) at the Sportsman's show in Boise he was very friendly. He gladly took my information and my money. However when a hiccup arose, he refused to answer any of the three phone numbers he'd given me. He did not answer emails. I spoke to him one time to try and rectify the situation, and he never called me back or answered. I finally had to dispute charges to my credit card. I hope those of you reading this will think twice about giving this company your business. If you do give the, money, I hope it works out for you, and you have a great fishing adventure. Caveat Emptor FYI: Crooked Creek received two horrible reviews on Facebook. I'd tell you to go read them, but it appears the management decided to erase the reviews from their page. Fact, when the three rigs in our group requested to have the first rig in line be parked in between the other two because one of our members had a broken ankle and it was difficult for her to walk to the rig that was doing all the cooking, we were told we had to park in the order we drove in. End of subject. There are no sewer hookups and you must dump on your arrival as the dump station is on the right. Not knowing we needed to dump angered Bill, his comment was "I wish you had told me you needed to dump, this is a big problem" Well no duh. We wished they had told us they didn't have sewers. He even got into a shouting match with one of our rig drivers. They charge extra for WiFi and then tell you what you cannot use it for. We felt like Hitler was in charge here.
