But things have changed - Clarks are no longer just a shop for fuddy-duddies stuck in a time warp. Their ads alone are testament to this. Now I go in there voluntarily (if occasionally checking behind me to see who is looking...) Seriously, they have some (relatively) groovy shoes and boots. Yesterday, I was sorely tempted by their deep blue lace-up suede knee-length boots with a mid-heel. Very cute! Good with jeans or a skirt. However I exercised some restraint. I asked the 'team leader' some awkward questions and he came-up trumps, so good customer service too and no pressure to buy. A stylish Swedish friend of mine recently bought some funky high-heeled 'Mary Jane's' here and they look really adorable on her. That's partly what lured me in...but I do have bad shoe addiction tendencies so I'm going to be patient and wait and see if I really have to have them...

The discounts vary according to how far back the merchandise hails from; I spotted a selection of pretty skirts at £29 and well-cut grey capris at £15 (80% off their original price). You'll find both summer and winter clothing and shoes here but, as it's not current stock, you'll most likely need an element of luck to find the colour and size you're after. The helpful Manager couldn't say how long they plan on remaining here, so I'd recommend calling them, to avoid disappointment, if you're more than a short distance away.

The communication and aftercare when things go wrong is absolutely abysmal. I ordered £3k of bike and accessories. One of the components was due in a couple of weeks, the rest was in stock. I received an email that my bike build had been booked in and was given a delivery date for my bike. The delivery date came and went. No communication at all. I contacted Sigma to be told that the component had been delayed. Only because I chased was the rest of my order sent. A couple of months passed by. No communication at all. I contacted Sigma only to be told that the component had been delayed further - by a whole year. The delay might not be their fault, but the lack of communication is. Because I ordered on the cycle to work scheme a refund was not possible. And instead was told I had £379 store credit. In the meantime I'd made an order for cash so asked if they'd be able to refund and apply some of my store credit. I was told that someone would contact me to discuss. After a couple of weeks I chased Sigma (again!) to find out how to use my £379 credit as no one contacted me. And I was told that no, they couldn't apply the store credit to my previous order. So I've been messed around, ignored, and have had nothing constructive offered to help with the situation. All I have is store credit to buy some stuff that I don't really need or want. I've been given a hollow apology - but actions speak louder than words. When things go wrong, how a company responds can make the difference between customer loyalty and never using that company again. I will not be recommending Sigma Sports to my cycling friends.

After a week or more without any movement i contacted them and they was looking into it for another 2 weeks without any replied. Than i contacted them in chat and they told its lost and asked what i want reship or refund. I said reship and 5 days later contacted again them and they wasnt aware about reship and said will contact me again. And they just refunded me in the end instead of reship without asking. Its just worst customer support ever. You need to wait weeks to get an update and still end up in nothing
