I have been to Armando's about 6 times throughout the course of 4 months, and I was amazing by the superb quality of food and service. Whenever I go, I get the same thing-- Rigatoni con filetto di manzo e tartufo (pasta in truffle sauce) and beef carpaccio. The beef carpaccio is so so good! The beef itself is so delicate and melts in your mouth. The parmesan, balsamic dressing, and arugula that come on top of the beef gives the dish a great balance and really makes it special. The rigatoni dish is actually the BEST pasta dish I've ever had. I can't help but to compare all the pasta I've had since the first time I came here to this rigatoni. The rigatoni is coated in a truffle cream sauce with tender beef chunks and then flambéd with vodka in a parmesan cheese wheel so that the cheese melts all around the rigatoni. Literally drooling just thinking about it. SO GOOD! Just a short walk from Gentofte station, so you can easily commute via transportation. Not the closest to downtown Copenhagen, but it is so worth it! Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, and beyond amazing food! Highly highly recommended!

Unfortunately, living in Italy, I have a mental block that forbids me to eat pizzas or Italian food abroad so I've never had pizza here but I've seen it and looks legit and tasty (and the fact that they have gluten free pizzas is appreciated). However, I have tried their sandwiches and I can say that they are super good (and with nice quality/price ratio at 60-70 dkk), my favorite is the one with gorgonzola, champignons and pesto, hearty and yummy! There's no place to sit, just a small bench outside, so it's basically take away and they even have some products on sale like a deli (pasta sauces, pasta, olives, drinks, teas, etc.). Place is clean, staff is nice and smiling (not an ordinary quality in Denmark).

Yes, we have a little one year old who likes to keep us home to…read moreherself :) well, we escaped about 100 meters away from our home to find ourselves in a little restaurant in Italy (hah only wish that this statement was true). It is romantic, authentic and charming. Food is very good, impressive starters and pasta dishes like capri salad with buffalo mozzarella, scallops in lobster bisque, pasta with shaved truffles. Once you reach the main course your expectations are very high and there one star could be lost. Veal in gorgonzola sauce tastes really good but it does not look as fancy as the previous plates. We end with a panna cotta plate and berry sauce, which is good. The wine menu is good and the italians have good suggestions. I plan to make this place an annual staple for us, definitely recommended.

I may be biased towards this place as it is the second closest pizza shop to my apartment. I tried…read moregoing to the closest one a few times, but I have decided I'm willing to go the extra minute for Gastronomia Italiana Tre. However, I think I would come here even if it was further :). Their pizzas are excellent: the dough, sauce, and toppings. Especially the dough, it has a nice bite and chew to it. It's a takeaway place, there's really only two tables outside and none inside. I almost always get the mortadella rucola. It's got a good balance of grease and greens! The grease makes it taste good, the greens fool me into thinking pizza is good for me. If they had a space to eat in, I would love it even more. As it is, its the perfect takeaway for home, or (even better) takeaway to the park on a summer day. Hit up the Meny for some wine on the way.

It is only a take away place but it is worth the visit. Call ahead and the pizza is ready in no more than 15 minutes, it does not matter the time of day. The one reason why I also love this place and will come even if I move to Nørrebro is the fact that the guys taht work there are sweet and helpful. they give you a smile and take the time to say hello no matter what. Good pizza that cures any hang over served with a smile is 4 stars in my book.
