My wife and I contacted Master's to clean our windows. At least twice before we have used Master's in the past and were pleased with their work. On Wednesday of this week, Martin Chavez came to our house and completed cleaning our windows. He was very quick and professional and extremely friendly. A pleasure to deal with... However, there is a "but" in this recent experience (not with Mr. Chavez). Initially, when we contacted Master's administration office we were told they would be at our home on Monday, June 5th. Subsequently, we received an e-mail confirming Monday's appointment, "signed" by Brian Anderson. When Monday arrived, Master's was no where to be found; no telephone call or e-mail informing us of their failure to appear. Later that day, we received another e-mail from their admin office confirming our appointment for Wednesday, June 7th!! (again "signed" by Brian A.)!!! Anyway, we went along and called their office and asked if they could give us a telephone call to inform us what time can we expected them so we could be prepared for them. Their office stated that would be fine. However, we NEVER received the "heads up call" as well!!! Who is running that place? We never had this problem before.... Yes, they are expensive, but after trying many other options, I am a huge fan of Master's Window and Gutter. They take the time to do the job right the first time. They are responsive, professional and polite. Our most recent technician, Larrell, is an impressive young man who worked closely with us to remove and replace plantation shutters so that we could clean them as he cleaned the windows. Josh from Master's Window and Gutter Cleaning was wonderful! He solved our problem efficiently, was an excellent communicator, and left everything neat and clean. Josh had to climb up to the 2nd floor level to check the gutters and downspouts from the roof level and unexpectedly found a piece of caution tape covering one of our downspouts and causing the lower gutters to flood over into our neighbor's yard. I would like to say in this world of non customer service..this company has old time values. When I requested a quote, it was easy and effortless. I made my appointment with help from their appointment coordinator.. and was given a time quickly. I was emailed about the appointment, and what I needed to do prior to the visit. I was reminded just before and was called by the technitian when he was on his way. They were polite, efficient, clean and thorough. Due to a weather issue, they had to come back to complete the job two days later, but I was not expected to pay until the job was done. They did return as promised and completed. I wasn't at home at the time of service, and requested from the business owner (Brian) that the tech that comes here would communicate with me over text messages and send me before and after photos. My wife and I have used several companies for gutter cleaning over the last 7 years. We have not called any of them back for lack of trust and poor service. When we skeptically booked Master's they sent a young man named Tyler to our house. Tyler was an excellent representative for his company. He was able to intelligently answer all my questions. He promised a video of the upper level gutters post cleaning, and he delivered the video as well as clean gutters! We had a horrible experience with this company. First they called to say someone was sick so if we wanted our windows washed we could expect it to take all afternoon. The owner said he was too busy to assist as he was bidding other jobs. When the person finally arrived at 1:00 he told us it would cost $100 more than we had been quoted on the phone. In response to Brian. We appreciated you letting us know about only having one person but please know that we were told he would arrive between 11:30 and 12:30 and he arrived at 1:10. We made it clear we had to leave by 4:30 at the latest when agreeing to moving forward with the cleaning that day. The person who came let us know he might not finish and might have to come back. You have been to our house in the past so it was not as if you were giving a blind quote. You even referred to our house as the $325. job when my husband talked to you. Between the job moving from two people to one, and the late arrival and being told he may not finish, having the price go up nearly $100. when you have been to our house and should be able to give a fairly accurate quote was the last straw. This was my first time using this company to get my windows cleaned. I liked getting an estimate online and the prompt call back to book an appointment. My estimate was for $125, but it came out to be $150 for all of my windows (23), exterior and the screens. I got an appointment window for an hour and they arrived during that time. Two young boys showed up and immediately got to work. They took about an hour to do the exteriors and wash all of the screens and tracks. The only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is because I heard one of the boys use the restroom upstairs upon arriving. I would have had no problem with him using the restroom if he had asked to use the downstairs restroom, but when they were upstairs supposedly counting windows and removing the screens to be cleaned, I heard the toilet flush in the master bedroom. Again, I would have preferred that he asked and used the downstairs bathroom as a courtesy. Also, I would have appreciated them being a little more conscious of taking their shoes off while they were indoors. Ultimately, the windows got cleaned and they look great! read more
