From start to finish, this was an outstanding experience. Brandon is incredibly personable, professional, and easy to work with. He took the time to explain everything, answered all of my questions, and made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. You can tell right away that he genuinely cares about his work and his clients. The craftsmanship speaks for itself. The hardwood floors came out absolutely beautiful, with clean lines, consistent finish, and great attention to detail. The baseboards were installed perfectly and completely transformed the space -- crisp, clean, and polished. Everything looks fresh, modern, and professionally done. On top of that, the pricing was very fair and transparent. No surprises, no pressure -- just honest work at a great value.

The padding pretty much disintegrated and they had to remove about a 1000 staples. The carpeting was removed in 3 rooms, the large living area, the master bedroom, and a spare bedroom. What was amazing is they finished the job in 2 days ! They then moved all the heavy furniture back in each room. What we can't figure out is how they got those 2 twin sofa sleepers through the door. In any case, if you have any need to install laminate flooring ( we went with LVP with is a higher quality with a moisture barrier ) or any flooring, I would highly recommend Floorings International of Montery. Gene Perrier Local Guide·13 reviews·4 photos 2 hours ago New Bernardo and his helper did an amazing job. This was my Dad's mobile home in Capitola, near the ocean. The carpeting was old and smelly, and stained and needed to be removed. There probably was over thousand staples from the padding that had to be removed. Bernardo and his team got the carpet removed and the new floors installed in only 2 days ! Now granted we left the existing floor in the dining room but they had to remove the main living area, a large bedroom, and a smaller bedroom. While my daughter and son in law got all the furniture moved off the floors, they did return and moved the heavy stuff back into each room as directed. They somehow also got 2 twin sofa sleepers inside the living area as directed. They arrived earlier than expected so we gave them the combo to the lock box . When they were done, they locked both doors and put the key back in the lock box. We went with an LVP flooring since that particular brand is moisture proof since we live by the ocean. I would highly recommend Floorings International of Monterey for any flooring installation. See photos below Photo 1 of 3 Photo 2 of 3 Photo 3 of 3

Another thing that differentiated him from the other companies I called was that he was willing to help me move my heavy furniture items out and back in when we returned from our trip (it was a 2-week job). We had several hundred sq feet of hardwood to refinish in our home in Carmel, covering a few rooms, stairs, and a hallway, some of which, unbeknownst to us, had experienced water damage. We spoke with, and solicited quotes from, no less than 6 contractors in the area, among which Bill Richards Hardwood Floors. He was generous with his time, insight, and recommendations, both while on-site and via phone and email - and we considered his quote, which was competitive. Our only hesitation at the outset was that he was booked several weeks out. (In retrospect, however, that should have been a positive indicator!) Based on the substantial time that he invested in responding to our questions, the many change orders / changes to quote that we requested as we modified what we wanted, and that, of all the contractors we met with, he appeared to be the most genuine and transparent, we opted to go with him. And - we could not be more content with that decision or the job that he performed! Among other aspects, he uncovered and repaired boards that had been damaged by water, seamlessly weaving new boards into the existing, noted and repaired broken flooring, well outside of the scope of work ("Because it's the right thing to do."), consulted as we considered the best stain for the wood, proposed an inlay to the step for both aesthetics and strength, and left us with tips and tricks for hardwood maintenance and repair moving-forward. What's more: he carved out some time during our job to pop by an adjacent family member's home to do some rapid repair work, as well! He's truly cut from a different cloth - and his consultative approach, quality of work, and commitment to doing "the right thing, the right way" exemplify this.
