We've had a truly professional experience with the entire team at Carpet and Floors, from selection, through purchase and of course installation. We needed to recarpet about 2,000 sqft in four rooms and took a long time choosing the right carpet, at no point were we rushed or pushed for a decision and after a year we finally made the decision. Installation was scheduled quickly, was performed excellently and completed ahead of time. We did encounter a small problem with our initial choice of padding and Brooke handled our concern like a true professional, with no fuss and a willingness to make everything right. Over the past two years, I have purchased several rugs and hardwood flooring from C&F. They have an amazing selection, and they were very helpful in determining the best 'fit' for our home. Several of the rugs needed to be cut to size then edges bound - this was done perfectly! The hardwood floor installation required coordination with our contractor - they worked really well together, and the end result is stunning. Josh is one of the family members working at the store - he is so helpful, knowledgeable and professional, and gives expert advice. Amanda was my flooring expert, she sent a nice man by the name of Josh out to measure and bring me commercial carpet samples within days of my initial call. I was given many great options to choose from for my restaurant and am so thrilled with our choice! I needed a heavy duty commercial grade carpet used for high traffic. Our existing flooring was old worn dark blue carpet that had to go! Once we picked the style and color: LOUD, Amanda got the ball rolling in no time and once the carpet arrived, she sent out our installer. Felix was the professional she sent to handle the installation and I've never had a better experience. The floors are a night and day difference and we are still getting compliments of how much better our place looks. Felix was amazing. He worked really hard to get the job done for us in a timely manner and I would use him again in a heartbeat. We recently had a wood floor installed into one of our bedrooms following carpet damage from the 2023 winter storms. Darryl made sure to locate the same wood we had in the rest of the house even though the installation had taken place years ago. The wood arrived, looked beautiful, and Darryl set up our installation date. James, our installer, did an excellent job; the room looks like right out of a magazine! My experience with Carpets and Floors wasn't quite so pleasant. I went there because the store is close to where I live - now I wish I had been willing to go to Seaside or something. I was in the store twice and the second time I would swear I smelled liquor on the salesman's breath at 11AM and he seemed a little odd. Then he missed two appointments at my home and wouldn't return my calls. I went back to the store to try and move things along and I've never seen such a disorganized affair. No one could tell me anything about anything and nobody really acted all that interested. I was about to walk out in frustration when another salesman came in the store, approached me right away and asked if there was anything he could do to help. What a change! I wish every salesperson I ever worked with was as helpful and courteous as he was. What a dream to work with. Then, everything went well until after the installation. I was supposed to have a large piece left over that the salesman was going to have bound for me at no charge. He was out of town when the installation took place and the carpet installers took this large piece back to the store to sell as a remnant. I argued with the owner that I had paid for that piece of carpet and that, leftover or not, it was mine. He said there wasn't any carpet left over and that, in any case, I had only paid for the material that was installed. I was furious. Thankfully, I had my salesperson's cell phone number and was able to reach him even though he was on vacation. He said he was embarrassed, but the owner tells the installers to always bring back any large pieces so he could sell them again as remnants. He said that was why he never used the store's installers but, since he was out of town, his installation instructions were not followed. He promised to take care of it and he did but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I will never go back there or recommend them anyone but my worst enemies. I can't believe that Dan guy stood right in front of me and told me the there wasn't any carpet left over when I knew we had ordered extra to make an area rug. Just thinking about it makes me furious all over again. read more

I was looking for just the right rug for my bedroom and I wasn't exactly sure what would work. So I visited the store a number of times, taking home samples to try, then coming back the next day. I really felt like a pest, but everyone I met in the store was so friendly and helpful to me - after awhile I felt like family. This is the third rug my husband and I have ordered from Carpets & Floors in the last ten years. We've had them bind large carpet remnants to create custom area rugs for our living rooms and bedrooms over our hardwood floors. They do a beautiful job. Lucky for us, last month an interior decorator ordered too much carpet for a big fancy house and there was plenty left to do a really gorgeous huge rug for our bedroom. I know I got a great deal and it is a custom size - perfect for the room. (11 X 15) In addition to the warehouse of beautiful remnants, they have a nice sized designer showroom filled with high quality carpets and flooring selections. They carry the good stuff. Brands like Karastan and Ralph Lauren. Every time I went back I kept finding cool stuff and taking samples home. They have some really interesting modern designs and classics too. Well, Dan called today and said my rug was ready and that they could bring it over and put it down for us. When they arrived we realized that they'd have to take our king-sized bed apart and move it and the mattress out of the room to put the rug down properly. They also removed our old rug and pad and had to move other furniture to make room. It turned out to be a bigger job than I thought. I can't believe how hard and efficiently they worked. They were simply a pleasure and we love our new rug. I don't want anyone walking in there with shoes from now on! I am wheelchair disabled and live in a small old house with one bathroom. There was mold under the vinyl in the floor due to water pooling outside the tub. I was nervous about the possible extent of water damage and whether I'd have to move out if the repair and restoration took several days. Marilyn worked patiently with me to find the perfect vinyl for the floor, and assured me that even if they had to pull up the underlay, they would make sure that I would still have use of the bathroom during the repairs. They pulled out all the old worn vinyl (several layers in this 70 year old house), secured a weak place in the floor, and built it up so that the water won't pool if it does get on the floor. The work was finished in about five hours, and the floor is beautiful! I will definitely return there if I need more work done. read more
