August 2015: While traveling cross country, my car was hit while parked on the streets of the big apple and wasn't drivable. EEK! I was told about Quality Auto by my insurance company and had my car towed there. While I sorted out another way back home to CA, Richard took care of my car expertly. When I reached out for updates, he and Joanne were there for me and kept my mind at ease. The damage was immense, nearly totaled(!!!) but my stress level stayed low. Quality took care of communicating with my insurance company and before I knew it I was flying back to NYC to drive my baby away, like new. February 2016: During a VERY COLD (-1 degrees) Valentine's Day visit in NYC, I drove downtown and parked to have breakfast with a friend. An hour later when leaving the parking spot, the power steering went out. Completely manual, completely unsafe to drive. I had the car towed to NJ to a friend of a friend's shop who quoted a really high price to fix and I didn't feel confident the work would be done well. After 10 amazing years together, and a move across the country, it was time to trade my baby in for a new ride. So who do I go to to make sure she looks her best? Quality Auto Painting & Body, duh. I worked with Richard directly to look around the car and decide how much to invest in fixing her up for a trade in, without spending more than I'd get for her! This shop is NOT interested in making a buck if the work isn't necessary. Richard is more interested in telling it like it is, giving realistic options to his customers, and often talks himself OUT of work rather than scamming people to spend more than they need to.
