LYING THIEVING PREDATORS. A 7 year relationship with Master-Services came to a halt when they showed their true colors. A young CNA friend of mine bought a new fixture for her bathtub and asked for my help installing it. There were no shut-off valves so we had to pull one lever to shut off water to the entire home. The supply lines were new and easily accessed through a panel next to the tub. Problem: I was unable to snug the lines tight enough so it would not leak. Very frustrating, because this should be a DYI project. I was out of time. I had to go to work and then leave town for a week. I was able to get it down to a slow drip going directly down he drain. I have been a long time club member with Master-Services and trusted them to do the job. I gave her a check made out to Master-Services and left the amount blank. She could pay me back over her next 1-2 paychecks. Later, she emailed me the invoice: $498 (less a $30 first-time customer ''discount''). I was furious! There was no cutting, threading, soldering, or sweating. There was no hardware at all; not so much as a 10-cent washer. This was scheduled two days after I left; not an emergency or after-hours call. All he did was attach a new fixture to existing lines. 30-minutes if he took his time. He saw the little girl with the blank check and took advantage like a predator. This is the worst behavior I have ever witnessed. It gets worse. I called Master-Services for an explanation and they gave me some bizarre story about having to take the fixture apart and ''inspect'' it. This is crazy! He justified $400+ in man-hours to ''inspect'' a $120 fixture made up of what? Six pieces? He put no effort into that series of lies. The cherry on top of this BS-sundae is that he wasn't even able to finish he job. He install the shower standpipe due to the angle. We had no difficulties finishing what the ''professional'' could not. $498 for a job he couldn't complete. They refunded me about half when I called to complain. I jumped at it while it was on the table, but that is still to much for this little job. It does not change the fact that they took advantage of a vulnerable girl. Now I can't trust Master-Services at all, and I have a lot of work I need done. I have canceled my club memberships and will let as many people know about this treatment as possible. The actual invoice can be seen at Google Reviews. He did not even make up any labor to justify the bill and admits he couldn't finish the job. Review it with anyone with any knowledge of what this task entails. You will come to the same conclusion as I did. Master-Services are lying, thieving predators. read more

We first used Master Services back in May 2015. We bought a new furnace/AC. Horst sold us the units and Luke did the install. What a wonderful company. They told us their company also did plumbing... and it's now July and I did not imagine that I would meet all the plumbers within a week for different reasons. Great service from all of them! First, we had our water softener get new pipes. That was something we expected and planned for. Jeff was great. Next, we had an unexpected break in the pipe to our dishwasher when we were removing it (we should have hired Master Services to do it, believe me!) and they came out to fix the water shut off valve the house which broke when we tried to fix it. Signing up for their maintenance program--the platinum includes plumbing check up once a year as well as the furnace/AC--is a great idea and our shut off valve would have been found and fixed if we had signed up earlier. This trip was an emergency, and we needed someone reliable PRONTO. Jim came out quickly and he was very nice, too. Next a few days later our water heater stopped working. It was 12 years old and it was at the end of its life. Beau came out and was very kind and understanding and sold us a wonderful 40 gallon unit. I felt like the last couple weeks was a disaster house-wise, but Master Services is a very trust-worthy company with kind and caring employees. I would not have called anyone else. read more

I am so pleased with Master Services. The receptionist was so polite & took great care to really listen to my problem with our plumbing situation. We set up a time for the Tech to come out. I was called when he was on his way. His name was Dan. We summed up the problem together, and he was so through, and so knowledgeable. He gave me a quote & then went right to work. I felt so bad as he was here for 4 hours and it was late evening and he said he still had a couple more yet to finish that night. He did not rush fixing the pipes just to get to the other jobs. He was so nice and so polite. I followed him around and he was so good and showed me and talked me through everything he was doing. Believe me I learned so much about plumbing and water temperatures of the water & etc. It was just awesome, and he was such a pleasant, caring,& polite young man. If I ever need a plumber again I would definitely call Master Services, ( and of course ask for Dan) then I will know I have the best Tech. I really would recommend Master Services if you want a great job done!! read more

Our air conditioning went out on a Friday night. The chances were good that it would be running all weekend, as we expected temperatures in the 80s-90s for the next several days. Wayne from Master Services came out on Saturday morning to take a look and address the situation. He was pleasant to work with, and described everything that needed to be done with tact and professionalism. (He also worked with our landlords to explain the problem, which added a degree of complexity to the job, but was professional nonetheless.) Although the situation really called for a complete replacement of the air conditioning unit, Wayne fixed the problem (landlord's call, not ours) and all is well. Professional appearance, shoe protectors when in the house, and great attitude. Truly excellent service pros! read more

I loved the team that came out to our home. Installers Tim and Logan were quick, professional, and we were able to trust them to do the work while we were away from home. They took out our old furnace and installed the new one while keeping us updated on their progress along the way. And there was no mess left behind. Plus, in the past month since it's been in, we've seen a ~25% lower energy bill. They are replacing our AC next-and it's off season so we're able to get a better deal. I really trust the team at Master Services and their office staff were so helpful and friendly too. read more

I am very happy with Master Services. I live a distance away, but they still came to my home without complaint to give a very thorough estimate for a new furnace and duct cleaning. The technicians arrived right as scheduled, with text and phone alerts before arrival, did all their work AND cleaned up like champs. I have a great new furnace that is so efficiently warming my house that I turned my thermostat down a degree. I also appreciated the military discount! Thank You, Master Services! read more

When my AC broke down they sent a repairman (Wayne C.) to the house. Not only was he knowledgeable but very friendly and personable. He explained everything that was being done and why it was being done. He also showed me ways to become a club member and save money on services and routine maintenance that I had no idea existed. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Master Services to anyone I know read more

The master service technician was absolutely fantastic. He came on time; actually early as I asked if possible. He was very respectful and took good care of himself while in the house. He was very professional and informational. He didn't try to intentionally find something wrong to boost the price up. It was a very positive experience. read more
