I hired Illinois Sewer and Drain Inc. to repair the plumbing in my master bathroom. At first, I was…read moreimpressed because they responded quickly and completed the work right away. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. After the plumbing work was finished, I had multiple tile professionals inspect the shower before moving forward with the remodel. Every single one pointed out that the liner had been installed incorrectly. They explained that there should only be one shower pan liner, not two liners glued together. I contacted Steve to let him know about the issue. He agreed the work needed to be corrected and told me he would come back to fix it. On Monday, we agreed he would return on Wednesday. When I reached out Tuesday to confirm, he rescheduled for Thursday. On Thursday, I contacted him again to make sure he was still coming. He pushed the time back, saying he was trying to find a single liner, and then attempted to reschedule again. I explained that this wasn't what we had agreed to and that I expected the repair to be completed that day. After that, he completely ignored my messages. I then contacted the company directly. I was told they would speak with Steve and get back to me. Hours passed with no response. I called again and still couldn't get any answers. I asked to speak with someone in charge, but the receptionist said they were busy and would call me back. Once again, I never received a call. The next day, I was told the owner, Joe, would contact me to discuss the next steps. That call never came either, so I had to follow up yet again. I was then told Joe would come out on Saturday around noon. Saturday came, and no one showed up. When I called, I was told his arrival had been pushed back another two hours. By this point, I was extremely frustrated by the lack of communication and complete disregard for my time. Joe didn't arrive until around 6:00 p.m. This company promotes itself as licensed and knowledgeable, but in my experience, the work was done incorrectly, they were quick to take my money, and incredibly difficult to get back out to correct their mistake. The repeated rescheduling, broken promises, poor communication, and lack of professionalism made this one of the worst experiences I've had with a contractor. I would not recommend Illinois Sewer and Drain Inc.

When I initially bought my condo, the unit did not come with a washer/dryer. My neighbors suggested that the best option was to remove my water heater with a tankless and then to install the washer/dryer. Dale drove down scope it out. He gave me a great quote, thousands less than a competitor and he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need! It was a pretty big project, condo board approvals aside. Visit 1 completed the tankless install in 1 day. Visit 2 involved washer/dryer hookups and drilling yet another vent hole through 12inches of exterior brick. He also had to reroute a number of pipes to make room for the appliances. Dale and company were professional, and respectful of my property... cleaning up after themselves as they went. A few weeks later, my exhaustively spec'd and measured appliances were installed w/o issue and fit like a glove! I'm now running my dishwasher, doing a load of laundry and taking a shower at the same time just to test my tankless water heater. It wins every time. I've already seen mucho savings on my gas bill even though i've added another appliance. I'm so proud of how well this project turned out.
