Absolutely Terrible Experience - Shockingly Different From Last Year…read more I used this company a year ago and had a great experience, which is the only reason I decided to book with them again. Unfortunately, this move was the complete opposite. The movers showed up smelly and unprofessional, and they argued with each other the entire time they were in my home. It was uncomfortable to watch, and on top of that, they were clearly milking the clock rather than working efficiently. When my furniture arrived, several pieces were damaged--including an $800 dresser with two legs broken off, leaving it unable to stand. Three lamp shades never made it into my home during unloading, and the company initially denied they were ever part of the move. For a whole week, they ignored my calls and messages about reimbursement, after saying they would get back to me in 24 hours. They only responded once my father got involved, and even then, their offer was insulting: $70 for the three missing lamp shades and $0 for the ruined dresser. I'm extremely disappointed in how drastically their service quality declined. This company is now unprofessional, careless, and unwilling to take responsibility. I regret booking with them again, and I strongly suggest choosing a different moving company if you want your belongings--and peace of mind--protected.

After 5 separate calls, the price changed 3 times and the deposit required was more than the amount of the quote I was given for the work. They did a quick walk-thru of the space with us, where we identified which items were going where (we had to stop at a storage unit before the home we were moving into). After that, they packaged all of our items with care, and safely loaded everything onto the truck! It took around four hours to complete our move, and at around $800 total, it was well worth the price. The two Roberts were friendly, professional, and fast while still moving larger pieces carefully. Some renters were moving in next door. I got within 15 feet of my driveway after coming home from work today, but could not get into my driveway due to a huge "All My Sons Moving & Storage" truck blocking the whole street so I could not get into my driveway. The neighbor across the street was blocked so they also could not get into their driveway. Traffic coming down the street from both directions, was having to turn around and go back. School buses could not get through. Even emergency vehicles could not get through. This was the 2nd consecutive afternoons that this happened at the same house. Yesterday, when a different moving company ("Muscle Man") saw that I needed to get through to my driveway, they pushed their ramp back up into their truck, backed the truck up about 6 feet, and I got into my driveway. This afternoon, I asked the All My Sons people to do likewise. They had several feet in which to do this but refused giving me some flimsy excuse that they could not move the ramp. After sitting there probably 20 minutes giving them a chance to clear the street and knowing that blocking a public street is illegal, I called the police. I found it interesting that even though they tried their flimsy excuse with the police officer, but I held out for what is right and somehow, they figured out a way to do the "impossible" by moving that ramp back up into the truck and eventually moving the truck before finishing unloading it. Being a Realtor and a center of influence, I would NEVER use or recommend All My Sons Moving and Storage!!! They certainly screwed it up for themselves.
