Never again. Terrible guest relations, we felt unwelcome, they don't stand by their word, etc...

Let's start off with this place is amazing! ***** My son is four years old and he's extremely shy…read more I thought taekwondo would be great for him to meet new kids and learn valuable lessons. This is his third week and I'm absolutely in love with all the instructors. They are kind, caring, and consistent. Whenever my son goes to shut down and doesn't want to participate they are patient and they work with him to get him involved. When he puts up his walls, it is also really difficult on me. I feel sometimes I don't know what to do or how to help get him involved. I get flustered and frustrated. Today I have a two instructors made me feel extremely comfortable when my son was shutting down. I have also had parents come up and tell me it's okay, their child did it too. I have actually thought multiple times of just walking out because I'm so embarrassed, but because of the support, and kindness they show me, I feel like I can get through it. If I could give them 10 stars I would! I high recommend this place to anyone wanting to introduce their child to Taekwondo. Thank you again to all the instructors! We signed up for the year and look forward to it!

This place is long overdue for a review from me. NB Tae Kwon Do is an amazing place. It is run by…read moretwo brothers and their mother. The vibe here is community. I am not an expert at Tae Kwon Do but I am a master parent. My son was 4 1/2 when he started and had a horrible temper and enjoyed hitting his sister. My son has been coming here close to six months now and he doesn't hit his sister and is a much better student at school. What more could I say? If I read my testimony I would ask, "Where do I sign?" The walls and counters are filled with trophies and childrens report cards, letter from teachers etc. i am not sure how the adult classes are but most of the adult students are incredibly active here in the childrens classes. They also appear to be capable to kicking my butt. Children arrive early to class with smiles on their faces and leave late to play with the other children. The parents have been so welcoming of me and are incredibly friendly to talk to. The classes have set times but the instructors do not end class until they are confident the kids got what they came to learn. I like that. Overall, this is the spot if you are interested in getting your kids in martial arts. In a way, I owe them my sanity. I was unable to control my sons negative attitude. Having him come 2-3 times a week for class has taught him so much more than I could. Kudos to NB! We will be lifetime members.

We have been with Elite Taekwondo for about 7 years now. Our experience with this place has been…read morereally wonderful. As many other reviewers have said, at first, we were a little hesitant to sign up for a rather long contract with little children, but because of the commitment we had made, it was motivation for us as well to push ourselves when we had our ups and downs. For the first contract period, our two kids joined the training because we brought them and they were ok with it. The next contract up until they earned their black belt, they chose to join because they wanted to complete the first part of the journey they had started. For their second degree black belt, they wanted to learn more so they both asked to join. Throughout the years, they have had moments when they didn't want to go here and there. But eventually, they learned the valuable lesson of commitment. We read the contract and knew what we were signing up for. I don't agree with some of the statements that there is no way of getting a refund. If it is not simply a change of mind, for situations like moving away (there was a distance stated in our contract,) you can get your money back. It is a contract. I believe Grandmaster Kim has the full right to make decisions on how to run his business just like we have our right to choose to be customers or not. It is not a charity but a business. I don't doubt Grandmaster Kim knows he is taking a risk of losing potential customers by insisting on a long term commitment. If you are only in business for money, It may be easier to earn more when you take many more short term trainees. I particularly love the fact that the contract is set based on how many classes you get to take and you get to keep them until you reach the goal you have set. As we went through our lives, especially with young children, we had to slow down sometimes and the arrangements he had made allowed us to do so without getting stressed out. And more importantly, my kids got to experience the joy of completing a goal they have set without giving up. There are always pros and cons in everything and since there are plenty of people focusing on the cons, I wanted to address some pros we appreciate. We respect and appreciate Grandmaster Kim's dedication to a life of Taekwondo. He is a 7th degree black belt and it takes longer and longer to move up to the next degree as you go. Not only that, in Korean culture Taekwondo requires you to be diligent in other areas of your life as well to move on. It teaches confidence, persistence, resilience, and hard work. That is part of the nature of this martial art. If someone is not happy with these particular traits, they clearly don't understand and I agree that they should not have signed up. It is not for them. He has achieved something and he is still going, and I want my kids to learn from and be exposed to those character traits. Our kids have had lots of positive influence from him and have grown noticeably since they first joined. My kids are not naturally gifted when it comes to physical activities. They had some struggles here and there, but every experience has been valuable to them. Taekwondo alone is not going to shape their character, and I agree it is more up to us as their parents. However, I am confident that it definitely has brought many positive effects in my kids lives.

Get ready, this will be a long one…read more.. My 8 year old son has been taking TKD classes here with the owner/main instructor Grandmaster Kim for a lil over a year and he loves it. He also has 3-4 instructors with him to assist in the class. From what I have seen, they are encouraging, supportive and patient. Yes the instructors all still wear their masks but I don't see anything wrong with that. Unless you are an anti masker, then you are prob cringing. Lols There are two rows of chairs inside for parents/guardians to stay and watch the kids. I like how they mop the floor mat after every class. Kids are taught the correct TKD techniques while getting physical activity in like jumping jacks, push-ups, running, stretching, etc. Yes it can be a lil fast paced so if your child is one who needs slow step by step instruction, then this might not be the class for them. As well as if your kid doesn't like being active they probably won't like TKD either. The kids are also taught to be respectful for example, addressing the instructors with yes sir and yes mam which I think is great. The kids are given a workbook for reference with all the steps in it. If your child needs extra help, I've seen the instructors guide them to the side for a lil one on one as needed. I've never seen them be hard on the kids. They also make it fun with board breaking days and relays. *Things to think about* I agree, the contract to sign up is long- about a yearish from start until the green belt. Once you finish that, then you may choose to stop or sign up for another contract for the black belt path. If your child decides say half way through they don't want to do it anymore then unfortunately you are SOL. You don't get a refund! TKD is an investment and I guess in a way teaching your child not to give up. The "two week free trial" is technically only three classes. So I can see it being tough for some kids to decide if they like it or not. But my kids' swim, dance and gymnastics classes only offered one free trial class so... Lessons are not the cheapest and there are extra fees like each time you graduate to another belt and any equipment like gloves and sparring accessories. Grandmaster Kim does offer payment plans. He will give you all the paperwork and fees to look over before you decide to sign up. I know some people wrote they was pressured into signing up their child but I never felt pressured at all by Grandmaster Kim. I was able to bring the info back to discuss with my husband. He did ask me to write a review on Google once but not for a discount or anything in return. I've had businesses ask me to write a review also so it's not weird to me.

We loved the Tiny Tigers program and adored our instructors. Any concerns I had for my son, the…read moreintructors would immediately jump into action to help. The program benefited my child's confidence and discipline. Unfortunately we decided we had to abruptly withdraw our 5 year old son from the program because of how our finances was handled... or not handled. We enrolled in August of 2019 and signed a 1 year contract. In April 2020, we paid for 6 months' tuition to receive a 20% discount. The following is what led to our decision to withdraw because ultimately how the issues were handled left a bad taste in my mouth. People who handle other's money in the following manners should not be entrusted with my children's education for trust, discipline and respect. We paid tuition through October 2020 but began getting autobilled again in August. I brought up the issue via text to the manager and followed up regularly over the course of a month and a half without a resolution- only short, unhelpful responses. I was only credited back the amount they wrongfully charged when I reached out to my bank. Chase issued me a credit for the 2 charges that Lee's took. Lee's has never resolved this issue ($250) I asked the manager several times over text and in person to take my card off file so that it would not be autocharged, she said okay each time but then the next month I would be charged again I was wrongfully charged 3 months (August, September, October) before finally deciding I no longer wanted to deal with the issues. I asked to withdraw my son from the program because I knew my contract ended in August. The manager told me that my contract auto renewed- I did not sign for a new contract and nowhere on the original contract did it state that it would autorenew. She insisted I would have to pay for 2 months' of tuition to withdraw my son. I asked for the copy of what I signed and nowhere on that contract did it state that it autorenews or that I would have to pay any sort of fee to withdraw once the contract was over I finally decided that the manager was absolutely no help in the situation. I went through the Chief's husband, Mr. Landgren, who issued me a check for October's withdraw but did not resolve the wrongful charges from August or September. It is still an open case with my bank and when I followed up with Chase, they said the merchant was not returning any of their contact attempts. I would not recommend this studio to other families. You will soon come to realize the program is only set up for families to spend as much money as possible there. With all of the "advance" classes, level advancements even without really showing any improvement, equipment, "tournaments" and "charity" fundraising. I don't appreciate being lied to or disregarded, especially when it comes to money. If I had not taken this further than the manager, I would still be out $375.00. It's a lot of money and I stressed that multiple times to the manager who did not seem to care about it. Find a different martial arts studio or a different sport, keep your card away from them.

Unfortunately they have a few things that I didn't really like. 1) the instructor was young (18) and not really open to other ways to get out of a situation 2) the class takes place in the same room where a Tae Kwendo class is performed making the environment distracting and noisy 3) the class was M/T/Th at 7pm, just a bit too late for me as I get up at 5am every day. 4) the class repeat M/T/Th then change the following week for 12 weeks then rolls that way which could be good if you miss a class or bad if you want to go to class and doesn't like repeat All in all it was a good workout and people there are great but the time/location/noise wasn't really for me.
